Thank you for this video!!! I kept looking on how to double sleeve for a binder and everyone only mentioned one of the sleeves but like what do you use for the outer sleeve and no one mentioned that, but you did so thank you!!!
Great Video my friend! I was thinking of taking it a step further with my cards that have Top Loaders to put them into a Top Loader Binder. Just need to find where i can get one XD
Thank you! I think Gemloader makes Top Loader binders and while I personally can't say anything about the quality of their binders, a lot of people swear by them.
Anything over $5 gets a spot in my toploader binder.. only about $2000 total right now but I would be absolutely devastated if something happened to those. Waterproof with a zipper. If I had a fireproof safe, I'd put it in there and it would be indestructible 😂
I heard using a perfect sleeve and put another sleeve ,after that putting card inside card saver is the best way, is that true? what about using magnetic case? will it damage the card?
Yeah that the best way to store your cards IMO. The Magnetic case will not damage the card since 35pt is perfect thickness for a card + perfect fit sleeve.
@@basesetmew so for magnetic case i still need to put a perfect sleeve n put inside the case, right? Are u sure magnetic case not damaging the card for a long terms? I heard lots of the case will have some bent to it if it stay for too long
Yeah I'd still sleeve the card to avoid surface scratches & edge damage. I've not heard of cards being damaged by One-Touch cases, bending (to an extent) usually comes from moisture in the air. Just make sure you buy a One Touch case with 35pt (either from Ultra Pro or Ultimate Guard) as they are perfectly recessed for a Pokemon Card with a Perfect Fit Sleeve + they also have the "Diamond Corners" to protect the corners of the card.
the top loader binders are awesome.... so much more joy flipping though collection, the look and feel is great🔥 - give it a try 🙏 Note when sleeving the dragon shield you should only put that card in 2/3 of the card in, then slide the "closing" part in and use it to push the remaining of the card in... it's almost as fast as pennysleves.... Personally (for my Master collection(s)) I have then in Dragon Shield and then in top loaders - and then in top loader binder (note that the binders 9 per page, is massive... like 50% bigger or so compared to a normal one but totally worth it).. For my trader binders and spare cards I simply use the dragon shield or perfect fit. easy, perfect and keeps all dust etc. away. And thanks a lot for sharing 🙏
The Pokemon Company doesn't confirm whether they are Acid / PVC free or not so I'd assume they are not and just grab some Ultra Pro / Dragon Shield / KMC Sleeves.
Just picked up some dragon shields and kmc, cheers for the video!! Super useful. Do you (or anybody reading) have a recommendations for top loaders, after countless issues I’m finally done with UltraPro, I feel their quality has plummeted.
What sleeve do you use on the card before inserting it in the card saver? Also do you double sleeve or triple sleeve the card before inserting it in the card saver? if so then what sleeves do you use?
Can expound further why you dont recommend ring binder? I just bought one for my Kayou collection. 😅 Card-> Dragon Shield perfect fit-> Ultrapro platinum pocket sleeves-> generic D-ring binder (from school supplies, but the rings are not on the spine, so the pocket sleeves wont bend overtime).
I personally don't like Ring Binders because they are so big and bulky. They are a good way if you have a ton of cards and if you're working on a Master Set or Pokedex themed binder. As long as it's a D-Ring Binder you're good to go know!
@@basesetmew i see. The good thing for me if using ring binders is that the cards are layed flat. Coz the inner cards are slightly away from the spine. They dont convene into one junction when the front cover is closed. But i think this issue may not be present on established brands when they design the pages on their albums. Could be they consider the overall thickness + spacing for every pages. But yeah..they are bulky and need to take extra caution when carrying the binder.
The magnetic card holders are a bit smaller compared to PSA slabs (One Touch =108 x 72mm - PSA = 80 x 135mm) Graded card sleeves will still work though but Ultra Pro also makes sleeves specifically for their One Touch cases.
Yo nice video, I basically do the exact same thing as you. I also use extra team bags specifically made for the one touches but they are so loose and baggy I really hope someone brings out perfect fitts for them. Also whats the difference between premium toploaders ans normal toploaders?
The premium Toploaders are usually a bit more rigid and clearer compared to the standard ones. They’re also made from recycled plastic if that’s something that matters to you.
The bluish tint is there although not as pronounced compared to the Ultra Pro Top Loaders. I think part of that is just because they're much thinner than Top Loaders.
Im looking for clear and transparent toploaders. Any recommendations bro? Im not really into ultrapro toploaders coz they have this bluish color. I prefer clear white color and very transparent.
@@basesetmew ohh..but generic toploader (non branded) is able to make clear ones though..but i worry about generic toploader coz its a bit cheaper and dont know if these are acid free..
Are you sure 151 has 360+ cards? According to Bulbapedia the set has about 210 cards. Either way I recommend an Ultra Pro Pro Binder (9-Pocket) which holds 360 cards. If you really need more, I’m pretty sure there’s no way around a 12-Pocket binder since that’ll hold 480 cards.
Oh right, I forgot about the reverses. Same here, I prefer 9-Pocket binders but there isn’t one that holds more than 360 cards. Good luck with your master set!
Really weird question. When you sleeve cards that are tight fit, have you ever slightly flexed the card, as ive tried not to do this with my cards but it happens when sleeving or putting them in the binder. I understand not doing it to much but is it 100% unnavoidable? My ocd is my worst enemy 🥲 try to keep everything perfect.
Shiny Treasure ex contains 360 cards. The Ultra Pro Binder I showed off in the video can accommodate 360 cards so I'd be perfect for that. You don't have to buy the exact one, just look for a 9-Pocket, 20 page Binder from a reputable company like Dragon Shield, Ultra Pro, VaultX, Ultimate Guard ect.
Hi, I'm planning on double sleeving my pokemon cards too and I wanted to get the resealable perfect fit dragon shield clear sleeves and the Hyper mat black, do they still work for you? Have you had any problems?
Ok thanks, one more question if you can answer, I bought the 100 dragon shield standard size sleeves and was wondering if I can use that instead of the Hyper mat black with the perfect fit clear sleeves? Or do you think the Hyper mat black is way better?
Out of curiosity, have you noticed that removing cards from perfect fit sleeves is extremely difficult if they’ve been in the sleeve for a while? Cards I sleeved with KMC perfect fits a couple years ago are stuck. I had to cut them out with scissors😢
I’ve never had to cut any of my cards from their sleeves although I have noticed that cards in KMC sleeves need a bit of convincing to get them out. That only applies to English cards though, I suspect that’s because English cards are a bit thicker than Japanese cards.
I wouldn't recommend using just perfect fit sleeves to store cards in your binder, use an outer sleeve like KMC Hyper Matte or Dragon Shield Matte instead. If you want to double sleeve: 1. Hold the perfect fit sleeve with the opening at the top 2. Put the card in upside down 3. Now put the card the right way up into the outer sleeve. That makes it a bit safer if some liquid were to spill on them.
@@basesetmew thank you. Two more questions so if I wanted to only single sleeve the kmc hypermat is ok to put in binder? Would the be ok for high end and tradable cards? Also do you recommend perfect fit sleeve before placing into a gold magnet? Thank you so much.
Sorry for the late reply, if you don't don't want to double sleeve than just a KMC Hypermat is fine for your binder. Depending on the price though you might want to consider double sleeving. For the Magnetic Card Holders I'd highly recommend putting the card in a perfect sleeve first. If you get the 35pt version, the card + sleeve will fit perfectly.
I'm not too familiar with Marvel Masterpieces Cards. I'd suggest just buying a pack of penny sleeves and see if they fit. If they do then they should fit into a standard binder.
The perfect fit sleeves I use for my cards (KMC & Dragon Shield Resealable) are fine and my cards haven't bend at all. If you really are too worried, just use and outer sleeve. That's totally reasonable!
Is it to risky to sleeve my cards in a ultra pro penny and then in a toploder because of the space? Should I use perfect fit sleeves for toploader or card saver?
Oh? The cards barely fit in the Precious Collector Box binder? Imma buy one real quick and see if it's good for my Yugioh cards, I can never find a decent one for them xP
@@basesetmew I use Strictly Sealed sleeves that are bigger than normal ones but not Pokémon level so I think they'll fit pretty well, already bought 2 binders to test now I'm waiting for them to arrive. Thanks for the info!
