- On the Big Story today, we cover the new PM E-Drive scheme, which will invest 11,000 crores over two years to boost electric vehicle adoption. Despite the government’s efforts, a recent survey shows only 5% of prospective buyers are inclined towards EVs, citing high costs, inadequate charging infrastructure, and limited daily use as major concerns.

I am in for a new car and I have decided to hold on to my old car for some more time as there is no clarity on ice or ev future
Same here
Sell of ice car will b band in Delhi Ncr ! Ppl is preferring EV over polluting petrol and diesel car! Transition is future!
It is propaganda against EV! Ppl sab janti he ! I am Driving EV without any problem it is convenient and easy to drive!
Ya.
Agree, lobby media 😂
I agree with you. The anchor said EVs are performing worse than hybrid and gasoline vehicles in repairs. How is that possible. The major component of gasoline car is the engine. The residual value that ICE car gets is essentially the value of the engine. The remaining part of the car can all be fixed unless its terribly damaged. I mean the chassis or the seats or tires or stereo system can be changed but not the engine.
There maybe lack of charging infra and convivence but to say EV car will break down more often is wrong. Yes how good is your battery is the question. The fight for the EV market is all about the battery technology. How long can your battery last.
As was the fight for ICE. That was how the Japanese won the battle. Their engines were the better. They ran for longer had lower maintenance and offered greater mileage. So they outsold everybody. The Germans too offered solid engines but their cars were pricier so they dominated the premium segment but the Japanese won the standard segment.
Ultimately whoever offers the better and longer running battery will win.
Yes, propaganda reporting. They take 2 or 5 % of the ppl who are not happy and project it as if it's the majority... Mostly Tata cars have issue...BYD, MG brands are reliable...
I bought EV as my secondary car. Now it is my primary car. I have driven 12,000 kms in EV in 6 months, in the same time my ICE car is not even driven 1,000 kms. You need to have the right EV. Don't take one unsuccessful model and project as if everything is bad. And EVs are expensive to buy, but the point you are missing is long time ownership cost. You can buy a Rs. 10 lac ICE car and a Rs. 20 lac EV car, drive 2 lac kms for 8-10 years and conpare the TCO. Very shallow and disappointing journalism!!!
Shame on modi not subsidizing ev cars shame .homard is right more wider ev choice is required. Over the air updates will upgrade evs.
The discussion was discouraging as the agenda was present and it was a biased discussion.
bhaiya, yae sab sach bol rahae hain.....80% EV consumers are not happy......there is no agenda in this discussion....may be you are not aware of the realities.....
@@careerscoop5241more like 8% not 80%. I think you are only talking to owners with bad experience. I am part of many EV groups, owners are happy except a few!
@@vittalshenoy so all these panelists are fools ....hahaha...
@@careerscoop5241 if you think so I can't help it
Yes correct 💯
And that my friend is not an EV problem, it's Tata's build quality - makes you weep.
EV a big flop in inida......no govt support and the impractical ecosystem is the reason for the big flop.
