So you can use construction adhesive for putting up the walls and not thin set?
Are there options for a floating seats. Can you cut castico and install floating seat. Sal diblasi does a nice looking Kerdi board corner base.
I haven't seen any options for floating seats when using Castico unfortunately.
What size was this shower? 32x60 ?

That particular base is a 48". No videos of me finishing the drain tie in, im sorry about that. But comments like this help me, I will know to include it in my next install video. Thank you!
What color is the sealant you are using on the castico shower? white or clear
Great question! In this particular application we used CleanSeal from Sashco. It only comes in white, but in this application I actually think white looks better. It really helps the panels to blend together even better. CleanSeal Is a special type of sealant that prevents mold and mildew from growing on it. Really nice stuff.
In this type of shower kit can you somehow do a recessed shelf in the wall? or is that possible?
Thats a great question. I do not think at this time thats possible. Castico does not want any exposed cut edges to be shown.
I can understand that. In your opinion, do you think you could use an over mount install recessed niche? And then use the sealant around it? Wouldn’t it be similar to the same as the cutout for the shower handle/head?

@@colleenthompson833 A flanged niche? Yes I believe you could successfully pull that off.
Great job! According to the directions that flange is suppose to be a 1/4" from the top edge of the shower base, why did you guys mount it so low? Does it matter?
We actually installed the flange exactly where the instructions told us to. In fact, it would be difficult to install the flange at any other height.

@@ramssl yeah thanks for checking out the video man. If you're interested, we have two more install videos for Castico. As long as you follow the manufacturers installation instructions, you will be just fine. These are really nice units.

What does material feel like? Does it feel like tile?
It's smooth like glass
Does the kit include the shower pan?
Yes it does.
Great video. But I just don’t agree with no water proofing under the shower pan. Any small imperfection in you silicone, the water will find it and cause damage in the future.
With proper waterproofing, what will happen when water get through the silicone? Will it get moldy but just not damage the floor underneath?
Had this installed last summer, a few months later and some of the fake marble print started turning this purple like color in some spots
I would be contacting Castico
Why even install the adhesive? The thing weighs like 100lb and if you want to replace it in the future you can easily do so
the worst part in these is that seam on the back wall.
