Haha I think you're forgetting the fact that I was raised in Southern California - I've been saying rad since I was 15. It's not a "cool phrase" but I'll admit it is genuinely a word that I enjoy. :-)
I like how you are doing this as a sophomore in college. I feel like I see TH-camrs, who are going to be freshmen, telling me what to bring and what to expect when they haven't even fully experianced college life yet.
I am going to be a Freshman at Kent State This year and I have been using you for everything! I have been so scared and anxious all senior year and now I feel much better after watching your videos. I feel so much more prepared! Thank you so much!! You have helped me A LOT!! :)

im going to college this fall! so this was a great vid :)
My tip! Its good to have a laundry basket, but i would take my laundry to the laundry room in my pillow case! It was the perfect size to fill the washer in dorms, plu youre gonna wash the pillow case anyway :) then you can head out for lunch instead of carrying your laundry basket back to room first!

I wish I was moving to dorms/an apartment this year. But alas, I'm going to be a senior and I still live at home. Well, at least I'll never have to deal with weird roommates and will always have my own bathroom. You're on quarter system right? So you're doing this video super early, lol. You're so sweet to think of other colleges though, cuz most start next month. Can't wait to see more of your tips love!

In the uk student accommodation is so different. Everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom and the kitchen and living room is shared between 4 or 5 people. X
this make me happy and sad at the same time because i'm going to community college instead :3 but i do plan on moving out to my own place by then so this kinda prepares me for that too c:

Jordidancerful, not everybody does. There is two main types of college in the US. Community college and universities. People who go to community colleges usually live at home because they are close by. Most people dorm at universities unless they live really close to the campus. It just depends. :)

I guess it's because then we can go to far away schools? Some people commute to schools that are nearby, as a way to save money. Most, of course, prefer the experience of dorms. :)

A lot of colleges do not allow candles in dorm rooms because they are a fire hazard.

You are lucky that you can bring your seasonal clothes from home and back to the dorm. I will not have this opportunity because I'm an international student. So my question is how can your roommates managed to keep everything neat and organized as well as pack all that seasonal cloth into small closet ??

I think most schools want you to use the furniture already in the room. But I've seen in alot of videos people put bins under the bed to accomplish the the same thing.
