There's a documentary called Spooked: The Ghosts of Waverly Hills Sanatorium, which is a bit of a companion film to the movie Death Tunnel. They do a pretty good job telling the history and even bought in some former patients and employees.

Not really, but I totally agree with you on the scariness. You don't really notice them once you're inside. Then, you have much bigger things on your hands.

Whenever I watch these videos. I feel so sad. Wonder what the patients went through back in the day. Hopefully we have come a long way from that.
