I had the same lift kit on an 85 f150 four-wheel drive. It rode and drove better with this kit on it than it did stock. I ran a set of 40s on it after also installing a 3 inch body lift. The truck had the 351 Windsor 4 speed 411 gears could have used some more gear I just never got around to it in the truck was stolen out of the parking lot of the apartments I lived in time. it was never recovered have no idea where it ended up.
Great Video, excellent footage, and YES... someone actually using a torque wrench. Great timing as I am starting the same upgrades on my '90 Eddie Bauer Bronco. Very helpful.
Can you say flirting with disaster, ditch the lift blocks, 37s, tru trac, gears, and 6" lift, you're going to be breaking driveshaft yokes in the rear the first time you use 4 low and climb something. TTB, gears, 37s, and traction device= pop! Good luck!
I'm sorry I'm not a complete nerd but are you talking about the 429 big block with a 4 venturi carb? I' d assume because idt 429's had 4 valve heads 😆😅
You need to do a debunk about Salvador Ramos Ford Pick Up hitting a drainage ditch in Uvalde snapping off the wheels in the proped up stage. Thank you 😊
Lift kits like this are much of what gave TTB suspension such a bad reputation. Sure, this is the best kit their benefactors Superlift had but it's probably been sitting on a dusty shelf for 25 years. Desolate Motorsports and Solo Motorsports both make budget friendly coil bucket suspension systems that keep the ride height lower. Moving the beam pivots creates leverage that leads to failure. Nowadays shops modify the beams by cutting and turning the knuckle ends to correct camber while leaving the beams in their stock locations. For long travel, guys are extending the beams. There are also a couple shops(Hollander Motorsports, Ohhcho Fab) building fully fabricated beam and radius arm kits that utilize spherical bearings instead of bushings, as well as proper crossover steering kits. I'll admit much of that is well beyond what's being spent here but I think you guys ought to make an effort to show more than paleo-tech drop bracket kit installation and shine a light on where the desert guys have taken this platform. The technology and developmental effort being invested in broncos/F-150s nowadays would shock most of your casual audience.
Yep. Honestly though, I'm surprised they didn't throw a couple grand at a straight axle. Unusual of them to leave stuff alone like that, especially when it's so popular to hate on the TTB.
Pop had an '89 XLT 302/5spd I borrowed for a week. Should have bought it from him. He screwed up and let the title go before he got all the money when he did sell it. Hard to find one with a Manual Trans. Even harder when combined with a 351.
@@madnak5141 1980 was a body change, 1987 was a body change and 1992 was also a body change. Yes 1980 was ttb first year. But if I remember correctly you can swap the front clips, fenders, hood and such between them.

Hey MT, why add another show that is essentially dirt every day? And why is it ok to watch your shows on TH-cam, but it’s illegal to watch through your app in Australia? That doesn’t make any sense.
Getting old-school 4x4 TV show vibes and I am loving every second. Can't wait for more from Christian and the team!
Seeing this, I can’t wait to finish my 89 bronco project
Great job! Excited to see more of Christian in the future.
This is what I need! I have a 96 and have been looking where to start so thank you 🙏🏼
So happy to see you put the extra effort in to keeping the TTB rather than SASing it like those Carolina squat boys do.
i love the "old" bronco. great job..
Can you all find an International Harvester next? 😎
I installed the same lift on my 96 bronco, and the one thing I would recommend is the tie rod flip, made the steering far better.
I'm excited, I just bought a 1995 bronco a month ago
Love the bronco. I have an 88 full size maybe one day I can do some upgrades.

What distributer are they using, also trying to do the same upgrades on 95 eddie bauer 351 windsor, cant find the distributer anywhere.
Gotta love the Brick Face square bodies.
Great show Christian👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work
Enjoy watching

Nobody cares about what you think, Nick.
I had a 78 with a 429 4v with some speed parts lockers and 37s it would go anywhere and do it fast I loved it wish I still had it

Awesome show, it needs some deavers on the rear and limit straps on the front.

Well written, i was disappointed as well they didn't use something from Solo or Desolate.

Ditch the headlights and grille. Factory looks much better then whats on there.
How's the bump steer with that steering setup? Looks like it'd be kinda crazy.
This was good info but id love to see a jamesduff sas swap kit put in a obs bronco. Im havin real issues. Lol

For such a high quality suspension kit I thought they would at least make the tie rods parallel with the beams.
I thought 1978 was the first year for the full size Bronco?🤔🤔🤔
it was 78, but the ttb front and new body style started in 80

Good luck 👍 ford bronco truck
Do you remember the offset of the wheels?
Come on! we want test drive
Those 87-88 Tophat hubs are a huge mistake to keep with 37s. if going to keep TTB, really need to at least get away from the Tophats.

How much did this cost the owner to have this work done?
Those headlights should be illegal.
Aaaaand I just saw the taillights.
I don't mind them
Um the full sized bronco started in 1978 to 1996. I'm a Mopar guy and know that.

Bronco wheelbase is around 104"
Oj Simpson made that style Branco popular too. Lol
It would be great if you spoke Latin to go with your use of archaic weights and measurements!
Having trouble understanding? Common issue. Imperial is a little beyond you folks' abilities.

This is nothing like Dirt Every Day. There are like 10 hot rod shows on Motor Trend I for one am excited to see a second off-road show.
Nice a Real Bronco and not on of those Luxury Mules.........
I don't know why everyone wants to put a lift kit on them. They don't need it

At least put Mickey Thompson classic wheels! Those are just horrible! No care or thought put into those at all
Still better then a modern FUEL wheel.
