The recharging station, charging lead acid batteries with solar energy was my master's thesis, at RWTH Aachen, with Prof. Sauer :). Its great to see it as a product. Never followed after. You and don make power couple or should I say Energy couple :). Awaiting more.

I don't have garden so don't need lawn mower but it's a so great pleasure to watch your video that I'm looking for the next one and all the details you cut ;-). Regarding emission from Small Of Road Engine, I guess that Don was not as suprised as you because it's well know at AVL ;-) Greetings from France
To be honest, no we did not..the gas powered lawn mower was „included“ in our house 🤪 what I can mention though for the battery powered tools, it is a great advantage if you get the sets with more devices sharing one battery, this reduces cost a lot!
How to get your wife or girlfriend to mow the lawn so you can play video games. Create a product study of lawn mowers and to get woman's point of view she is essential for the duration test. Genius!!!
Lawns are bad for the environment. Electrically mowed lawns less so. They take huge amounts of water, lots of fertilizer, and lots of energy (gas or solar) to mow.
Prehaps, but, so are houses. To be green, every one should live in tiny apartments. If you grow the right lawn for your area, then watering and mowing can be minimised. Rainfull is minimal where I live here in Oz, and summer days can exceed 46°C sometimes. My lawn is SirWalter Buffalo has a 5 star rated drought tolerance. The native animals that visit my yard love the lawn, especially in Summer. My lawn is also used as a fire break as I live in a declared high fire risk area. Lawns are not all bad. Psychologically, people love to look out from their houses and watch animals on their lawns - we are evolved to do this, to lurk in the forest, and watch our prey feeding in the clearing. We might even be healthier doing this.

Great work, love the content! I have an Ego with the 56amp battery and I was able to cut my 1/3 of grass using self propelled. I love it!

to be significantly you would need to be at least 15 bdA scale which is the amount above ambient sound level where it becomes a problem
