Welcome back! Great review, the only thing I felt was missing from this review especially since its for a Wireless stick is latency and latency testing. I think users would like to know what kind of input lag they would be experiencing with this certain stick compared to other wireless and wired options such as the Mayflash or 8bitdo ones you showed off. Now that the competitive fighting game community is more open to using different hardware for fighting games such as PCs with high framerate and high refresh rate monitors instead of just consoles I think that controller parts that players use go beyond just levers and pushbuttons and now PCBs are just as important for tournament players. I know that many third party controller brands have higher input lag compared to something specialized like a Brooks fighting board so it would be nice to see them compared. Testing input lag is not very easy though and overall doesn't really matter to anyone but high level fighting game and shmup players, but I still wanted to suggest this. Hope to see more content from you soon!
Sounds interesting! I don't remember where I read it, but supposedly on the Switch, a wired controller may have worse latency because all the inputs go through an USB hub first. I have no idea how one would test these things, though.
@@rfs8194 we really need some kind of standard input lag testing system/equipment. I’m not an expert but it seems like it would just require 1) a custom parallel circuit from each button so that the button input gets sent to the console normally AND to a separate sensing system and 2) a custom game/software, basically an input test app. And/or a video image scanner system and program that will consistently detect the exact moment when a pixel/whatever starts moving on the screen.
So great to see you back!!! I've been getting into Arcade sticks and fighting games the past month and thanks to you I have found a new hobby. I was never good at fighting games, but after your videos I've started to understand the real enjoyment of fighting games and for that I thank you alot ;)
Fun fact! About a month ago I was doing YT research on the entry level arcade sticks and that is how I came across your channel to begin with. Back then I have watched your "beginner's guide to arcade sticks" that you have posted over a year ago AND if I recall correctly you already had PowerA Fusion Arcade Stick.. since I saw the box for it in the footage :) I was slightly confused why you haven't reviewed it and HERE WE ARE NOW! - welcome back :) Good quality content and your review is the only one around that featured button removal showcase - thx for that I was wondering how to do it myself. FYI Amazon UK is doing clearance on those sticks and they can be bought for dirt cheap £39.03 at the time of posting this comment [7 left]. I got mine for £44.95 this February and I am quite happy with it. Looking forward to next video covering mods for this stick :)
Nice to see you again! Great review. A bit pricey, but not a bad little arcade stick, especially if you plan on swapping out some parts. Nice shmup skills too man!
So glad to see you back man, so funny I was actually thinking about you yesterday regretting you were not uploading anymore because your content has really helped me picking up fighting games in general as well as arcade stick (i've even customed my own!) Welcome back ! Overall a good looking stick with easy customisation, indeed very generic and i'm not too found of the batteries.
Your channel helped me through boredom and depression during the early years of the pandemic. You saved my life. Thank you. Keep up the amazing content!
Nice touch that they added the other gate inside.. Id rather an easy way to switch frm a square gate to a 4-way diamond for pacman, dkong, etc.. all without having to open it up. Also, rather somebody includes a circle gate vs octagonal since this is what we were used to in the States.. Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, etc.. Great Review! edit: My B.. thought it was a Cave shooter ..still nice skills💩

Great review of the fusion arcade stick i ordered 2 after watching this at a incredible cheap price all the best 👍🏻👍🏻 also the square gate that is installed by default can be turned into a 4 way gate by turning it clockwise 👍🏻
Welcome back! I started watching your videos last year. Your content led me to buy a 2nd gen 8bitDo stick for my Switch and a Hori Rap N for my PS4. Basically got into arcade/fight sticks even more thanks to your channel. Personally, I think this PowerA Fusion stick might be a good upgrade from my current 8bitDo one. This just popped up recently here in the Philippines for around 90 dollars. Still a bit pricey though. I do like the overall look and the art customization (it's the one feature that already sells for me because all of the sticks I own are tough to make art for. Based on what you showed, it looks like the faceplate is easy to swap.) I also like the wireless and wired mode features. Feels close to what 8bitDo did. The cable compartment is convenient and feels close to what Hori does for their sticks. I don't really experiment with button or stick customization, but it looks like PowerA encourages it in this new stick which is a nice touch. Also good that this stick has a metal base. Overall, I might actually buy this when I get enough money maybe this year. Great video! Looking forward to what you post next.
This the Nintendo controller I stuck with. Seimitsu LS-62 with 4 of the 2mm extenders and Seimitsu buttons. One thing I hated is how it constantly drains battery even when turned off, but years later I discovered that it can be used wirelessly when plugged into a USB power source! Instead of a cable running across the room to the Switch, it's plugged into my sofa's USB outlet.
Greetings! I remember seeing your video thumbnails but am new to your channel and noticed you had been away from TH-cam for about a year. Welcome back! I loved every moment of this look at the PowerA. I obtained this stick about one year ago and felt like listening to someone share more details. I was not expecting to see gameplay of Giga Wing's final boss. I did an All-Clear late last year and that game is a wild time - especially the true last boss! It's one of my favorite shmups. As for your video, I love how incredibly thorough you are and the minimalist setting you record in is super-nice! I also notice that you respond to those who comment - which is very refreshing since most big channels won't bother. Thanks for such a great time and I look forward to seeing your channel grow!
Appreciate you, i actually still dont know how to unlock the final small plane boss; i was very young back then and i can 1 quarter beat the game, sometimes it comes out sometimes it doesnt, i never actually looked in to it, but i def need a 2nd player to help to beat the game with 1 credit, i don think i ever beat it by my self, we use fire and green guy. 🙏❤️😊
@@JoystickNY I could have sworn the only condition was 1cc the game up to the tlb and then it unlocks, but I could be mistaken since it was a little while ago and the details a bit hazy now. I trust you have all the love, support, and growth imaginable! Have a great day!
So I picked up this joystick, and tried to customize by putting a Sanwa stick inside. It does not fit perfectly, since the screw holes are not lined up. Welcome back my dude! I tried going the joystick route but eventually ended up going back to the controller; I still play around on my Mayflash from time to time. I'm using a Retrobit Sega Saturn controller for my fighters and shumps and I love it! I would love to try out one of the PowerA fight pads, but they're like almost $50 and I heard their lifespan is not good
I was really looking forward to get this one. The other alternatives you showed up don't have Nintendo License so I'm always afraid about them not working on the switch with an update or... even with Nintendo's next console right about the corner, I think the Nintendo licenced ones have better chances of working on it too. In my country this is one of the cheaper alternatives for around 160 usd, which is a really big investment, but we don't have too many choices
I would install a Sanwa JLF lever lever, an eight-way restrictor gate, a ball-top or bat-top and Seimitsu buttons into the PowerA Fusion arcade stick controller for the Nintendo Switch.
Glad your back. I would love for you to try and get the new Daija Arcade Stick Playstation. I have been wondering if you can even replace the art cover background. Anyways, hope your channel still grows, your reviews are very detailed.
Also worth noting that this stick goes for £35 here in the UK at the moment. The 8bitdo goes for £70ish so it's a fairly good price at least here. Obviously the stick and buttons need to be changed though.
