Actually it’s actually unknown what the AK’s beta animations were or more so it didn’t have any animations when the new L4D2 animations used the L4D1 weapon animations as placeholders, the AK actually had a similar animation to the AK 47 from CSS in which it did have no moving animations and was just static whenever you did move around with the weapon. It was because the AK 47 during the best stage of L4D2 didn’t have any finished animations yet so they created a simple CSS AK placeholder animations for the weapon until the final AK animations were done
Also the L4D1 animations for the AK in the beta pack is just like a “what if” thing cause Valve never did use the L4D1 M16 animations for the weapon, it had that CSS styled placeholder animation instead mentioned above ☝️

I’m kinda guessing they cut this ending out when Valve came up with Swamp Fever and hence they had to change up the ending to the Concert and Helicopter idea. The “Stealing the Midnight Riders tour bus” was actually the second ending concept they made for Dark Carnival which in first concept idea for a ending Valve actually had the idea for Train escape ending for the campaign before the Tour bus and Helicopter ending ideas, Valve scrapped it because it didn’t really make much sense for a Train to be right next to a Carnival

The "unused" note is always used when calling votes, the rest of the sounds are never heard inside HL2, theyre actually to be more from tf2 (obviously except for the charging station, and airboat), the fire axe breaking IS used, its heard when falling onto the floor.

Edit: 13:51 I believe this plays when you unlock an achievement in left 4 dead 1
chel and ellis dont have sweaters tied around their waste, their pants are jumpsuits and the part tied on their waist is just the upper half of the jumpsuit
The gift sound effects are actually from TF2 and are for the gifts dropped from the specials for the christmas event in 2011
i think the riot shield is the only melee that has durability system and can be use to protect from charger's charge attack and tank's fist or throwing rocks
Gift drop and gift pick up are used when tf2 gifts would drop a while back. You'd get an achievement for it, though im not sure if it still happens
Oh man you should get yourself on the PC version. Its is incredibly worth it. Would love to play it again
13:19 Some of these sounds are from Team Fortress 2 like the gifts and Pickup_misc42 possibly from Mann Vs Machine or that one moon map on tf2 with the robots.
Just got your channel reccomended. Love these types of videos. 😊 liked and subbed
during a xbox campaign run on dark carnival 1, in the motel pool, my friend discovered the combat knife, from what I remember I don't believe there was a German player, however it was a while agom
Modding tools can also bring them back in
Pickup misc 42 is the sound that would play when you get an achievement in the pc version of left 4 dead 1
I suspect the vertical axe swing may be a reference to tf2, since that is the animation for an axe attack in that game.
glad to see another cut content vid by u you got ur self a fan
They cut the screamer due to people finding it too annoying during early play tests. Rightfully so.
It’s rather annoying in Dying Light as well & quite useless for those who know how to handle themselves.
the screamer ultimately never made the cut bc play testers complained about the screamer being ahassle to chase after and kill
Whittaker sounds like the same actor that does the Vulture acting from Starcraft.
Just subscribe and I love Learning about cut content in video games also will you do a fallout one and keep them coming as long as you can
4:17
Wrong.
The headshot one is obviously when zombies where headshotted, the tombstone was a zombie killed singer as L4D2 was gonna get a more competitive side, there being points, and the unused grenade isnt just something useless, they did plan to add a 'nade to L4D1, but the hud icon was ported to L4D2 for some reason. The "unused" note is always used when calling votes, the rest of the sounds are never heard inside HL2, theyre actually to be more from tf2 (obviously except for the charging station, and airboat), the fire axe breaking IS used, its heard when falling onto the floor.
Honestly i love those older animations on the guns way better seems like there's actually kick to the guns rather than the final design guns i like seeing the sway to them
edit: i love the auto shotgun pickups
11:03 you shot the witch and she didn't get startled by it!
He actually missed. Shot right beside her
@@TokinToken Not true. I slowed the video down and you can clearly see he hits her, it leaves a blood stain on her arm.
I find the yellow pain pills very amusing, it has the same energy as purple Francis.
I also remember nick saying "He can't land until we kill this tank" that's weird
11:25 you probably heard it if you played dark carnival REMIX
13:34 that’s just the vote sound and the gift is for the bday presents that drop during xmas when u kill special infected.
Ngl ammo packs would be nice to replace medkits sometimes in vs. Would prob need less general ammo though idk
10:50
It uses the AK's reload because the animations for the M60 are just the AK animations.
Cant believe he said "Ay double U pee" instead of AWP
7:23 if i'm not mistaken this map was used to show off the l4d sdk and teach how it works through valve's developer community website
the ammo pack would have been so amazing, maybe not a full refill but like 2-3 mags
I swear i heard "just a six pack" a week ago
All of those cut voicelines were added back in Last Stand update
I do believe the gift sounds were used during a Christmas event or when the game was free to play for a short time, but I could be wrong
Yes they are. With him saying how many hours he has I'm actually surprised at how little he didn't know. I've got just under 1000 and could point out probably 30% of this videos being flawed
Remember what I said in the beginning of the video, I'm a console player. None of the "gift" sounds appear there, so I had no idea what they were for lol.
@@HackingIsFreedom na you don't play on console you just copied a script and played this vid off as your own work cos you're too lazy to come up with original content. Even if you are a console player there's no way in the last 15 years of the game being out that you'd get so much common knowledge of the game wrong.
@-Kc1937- You definitely have some issues bud, please seek help. Not even worth correcting you 🤣
@@HackingIsFreedom yep typical response by someone with low intelligence and no real connections or interest in the left for dead community. I know full well you've copied this script from the cutting room floor wiki. You've done the bare basic research for the vid. It's more or less clickbait. A lot of what you talk about is either not cut or made up like the screamer being linked to l4d2.
Pickup_misc42 is from l4d1 when you get an achievement ported over, not used 13:45
Fact is the guy with the gun store in the fallen survicor u can see him in the passing he go bit or kilked idk
Keep it up man! Love these vids
The one on the left of the textures for ellis is actually the one if you use sv command to do a training map
a train map
Honestly props to this video dude. Showed some stuff not a lot of youtuber's have covered. Its not just beta facts everyone knows at this point. Hats off to showing some unique stuff!
I actually have the original lfd1+2 demos on my old Xbox 360 and those have tons of differences, I don’t think it was E3 time as it is a lot more towards lfd2 rather than still using lfd1 animations
Very cool to explore it, I think its levels 1+2 of the parish and that’s it
the only differences were some missing weapons in L4D2. the no mercy campaign demo was the same as release and the Parish demo is the same (minus the missing weapons)
I doubt valve "lazily copied over code" from left 4 dead 1. As according to valve the reason for creating left 4 dead 2 was that the code for left 4 dead 1 was too buggy and messy to build on to.
I actually had a glitch where i spawned with the Hunter Claw as Coach a few months ago, i still have the screenshot on my steam surprisingly..
i swear the cold stream soundtrack sounds like "Telltale's The Walking Dead" music
Whats your steam account?
1:18 I need a mod for replace the vanilla icons for this type of icons
13:24 I've heard that sound before, valve uses it for player tutorials and developer commentary nodes
That's what I hear when I get kicked from versus.
Whitakker's face kind of reminds me of the American/German model from Day of Defeat Source
Most cut lines were restored thankfully on the TLS update.
does gift pickup and gift drop are from TF2's Christmas update
4:45 "They cut it for whatever reason" they literally explain why in the developer commentary...... are you doing your research, or are you just reading the Cutting Room Floor page for easy views? 😐
@StrangeCorvus I know the explanation, but frankly it doesn't make a lot of sense. A lot more people believe it was removed because of player feedback and "being too difficult to track down". So that's why I said that. 🤦♂️
5:04 the boomer horde call is the same as the one from l4d1 which had no plans for a screamer, did you mix it up with another sound?
lol the gameplay at the very end
The sound on 13:24 is from the start of a vote isn t it?
The cold stream audio was used in the beta
forgot important cut content "dam it " campaign. officially developed by turtle rock studio but never finished.
12:35 weirdly enough I heard this line in the game before
It wasn't for the passing it was dark something
Do Postal 2 Next
love these videos, could you do a video on doom from 1993?
MORE Left 4 Dead CONTENT
15:28 sounds like demoman
The PC is the superior l4d2 now
Woah the new cut left 4 dead
13:02 - I knew father Grigori didn't died in Half-Life 2 😎
They’re voiced by the same guy I’m pretty sure. RIP Jim French
@@BreadTeleporter1968 Ah, I didn't know. RIP Jim French :(
17:50 I've heard that one multiple times
12:35 i heard this voice line when i played yesterday
Because most of these lines were previous cut content that were added after the last standing update, I realize that too because in the trailer it uses unused, animations and lines for the last update very interesting though I like how they added those
pretty sure an xbox 360 copy works still on an xbox one
that’s how I played it the first time.
The gift sound is from tf2
13:06 well it was on the last stand trailer
13:25 I swear I’ve heard this in game before?
2:14 wasn't this one from the l4d1 beta?
