Hello Klayton, im a JWE2 modder and i can confirm that as soon as the game releases, and we find out how to mod it, there are plans to create accurate versions of the dinos. my self included as someone who will do it.
How about try not to modify the dinosaur video game just for a change, How about trying making your own and also thier own dinosaurs videos games just for a change.
Honestly yeah, keeping the animals timeline accurate is a big thing for me. One of my largest annoyances is people constantly crying for all the dinosaurs to have feathers, including Roberta, and I’m like- no??? That’s a complete upheaval of the actual canon, the book and irl science that was prevalent at the time the movies came out. For their time- those animals are time accurate and we’re made to be as such. That’s what made seeing the later movies interesting because, in universe, they began reflecting the science that was likewise being found irl- and bioengineerers were jumping on the “we can improve this” bandwagon, which made NEW animals, and those become their own generational icons. I’m kind of a stickler for details like that because I find it so interesting to see the science that began in 1993 slowly modify and reflect in the series. Jurassic Park showcases a time capsule of science over mere decades- and not just the science- the imagination. To randomly give Roberta feathers or switch the other animals models to better fit what’s found in the movies today honestly is a personal annoyance because it’s like they’re trying to cover tracks that literally do not need to be- because in universe it’s always been explained why the animals are the way they are. Thanks for your insights as always, Klayton. I hope life is treating you well. God bless you and enjoy your day/night.
It's simple to me: feathers are not canon accurate to these movies. They may be accurate to science today but these movies were not made today and to suddenly, quickly, and without any other thought than 'accurate because science' is not showing love and respect to these movies nor the time in which they were made.

I told some people this and one guy I called out called me a troll.
@RogueT-Rex8468 I always laugh when people say feathered dinosaurs look scarier to prove some point. Like no they don't. They look like over grown emus
Would also love to come across Alan's discarded Claw, the Broken Eggshell Nest, the Maintenance Shed (as well as inside) and the Raptor Enclosure! #lifefindsaway
Basically, the problem has simple solutions. Though personally speaking, I wouldn't mind seeing them work novel content (like the Juvenile T-Rex) into the game.
I have to say the Jurassic world designs are a bit concerning. I also hope this game allows for a version of Telltale to happen. I also hope the map is researched from the past lore and don’t make uninformed lore choices. As you can tell from my name I care a lot and I hope the 6square foot map of Nublar I made dosen’t get contradicted. I really hope they will get the old raptors becuase they look so so so much better. This makes me think and worry the aren’t being intensive on the lore.
I agree. It wouldn't bother me that much but at least some of the animals have got to look like the 93 models. Also, I appreciate the Super Nintendo Jurassic Park music at the end. What a nostalgia trip.
@@João-u8b Bro if you don't care just shut up, let people venting their worries, maybe the devs will notice and make some changes. It's not a big deal for you, you won't even see the differences !
Nice Video explaining the problems of Jurassic Park Survival and I pretty much agree with your points on the problems of the Jurassic Park Survival. Sure I’m definitely excited for the game but I agree with your points of what you said in the video. Great work Klayton and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
I love that you define the two Rex models how, the Stan Winston model, and the Steve Spaz Williams model, it is a great detail. I was able to talk to him last year and he told me a lot of great things. All the credit for the special effects of Jurassic Park was his.
"When we have control again..." "You never had control, that's the illusion! I was overwhelmed by the power of this place. But I made a mistake, too, I didn't have enough respect for that power and it's out now. The only thing that matters now are the people we love. Alan and Lex and Tim. John, they're out there where people are dying."
At the end there you said about it feeling like the 90s and that's my biggest worry that it'll feel more like something from the world era as apposed to 90s awesomeness
I’ll admit it wouldn’t fully bother me, but I do agree that it’s important for the Dino’s to have the same designs from the original film. I’m still excited that this game is coming.
I agree with your points, I mean if companies like Nanmu can make unofficial T.rex and Velociraptor models that look identical to the original designs then I don’t see why an officially licensed game can’t get the designs right. Evolution did it through DLC anyway.
I think for this game the models for Jurassic Park Survival dinosaur models in my opinion should look more to the park design models to make the game feel more to the first movie as we know takes place after the events of JP.
The 1993 T-Rex is my favorite dinosaur in the whole Jurassic park franchise. But I do like all the other dinosaurs as well don't get me wrong though. Oh and Klayton you're an awesome guy for what you do on TH-cam. 🦖
I'd say if it's a design with both mixed into one, the CG and animatronic mixed together into one design that'd be better though if I'm not mistaken the dominion rex minus it's more recent wounds is a mix of both
personally I think they need to keep the aesthetics of the original movie since the game is immediately after that movie ends correct? you can claim the dinosaurs look different between the different trilogies since the "science" has changed or whatever but for the game it should be the OG designs
I think the team will have the models era specific / done right by the time the game releases. We'll definitely know by the second trailer and definitely by the gameplay trailer.
What's interesting is the models/skins for anything '93 related are there. JWE : return to Jurassic Park proved that. Why they chose NOT to use them is beyond me 😂. Btw your videos and premium help me get through 12 hr shifts. Keep it bro
Not fussed either way. It's okay if they are slightly different with me. I don't like the obsession with trying to recreate the production value of the 90s. Whatever they go with, I'm on board with.
You know what would be a super fun "easter egg"? If you could unlock different skins for the dinosaurs in the game that chase you, that you can then pick and choose before you start a new game. Imagine one skin for the T.rex looking like the animatronic and one that looks like the CGI model. That would be a fun little way for universal to show that they ARE self aware. Obviously this isn't JWE and it would be a lot of work for the devs, but I like that fun little idea.
I agree, and as "bland" or "mute" as the colorization of the 1993 dinosaurs were. To me they seemed to be the most believable in regards to how modern mammals are colored (obviously we don't know what they looked like, but hey brought them to life for the 10yr old me in 1993).
Also I should mention that the people making this game are also making a quiet place horror game similar to this. They already released a gameplay trailer for that.
In that same vein, I have the same thoughts about the "Alan" raptor on the airplane scene from Jurassic Park 3. As much flak as that scene gets, I feel like at the very least they could have used a model of raptor that Grant had ACTUALLY SEEN BEFORE. Or even in Dominion, when Grant, Sattler, and Malcolm saw Rexy again. Not just any t-rex, REXY. There was no moment of, to quote Malcolm in TLW, "YOU." Fans like to see those moments of connection and consistency, and I think it's something that gets overlooked when creating new media for the franchise.
The T-Rex detail is important. I'll take either the Winston practical effect or the 1993 CGI; anything from the first film. It's just so intimidating. I really don't think they could improve upon it in any way, and there's no way a *horror* video game experience in this setting could be sufficient without it. Love the vids, Klayton! Ave Christus Rey!
I agree!! The dinosaur models should look the way they did in the original film. Having them look like their Jurassic World models kinda breaks canon. Hopefully they can sort this issue out and give the dinos their proper models. *Edit:* It would be neat if as a bonus after you beat the game, you could customize the dinosaur designs in the game to look like any of their designs across the franchise. That could be a cool feature!!
I am very excited for the game, Jurassic park should have had a game like this year's ago. But I have one thing I want to see have the dilo be a juvenile and have an adult like they are described in the book now that would be terrifying.
Unrelated but I would love to see some the male raptors (tigers) as they can change gender due to the frog DNA so it’s possible And maybe even an adult dilophosaurus would be amazing (you covered its existence a couple months back In one of your videos) and what better time to add a full sized dilophosaur than in this game
I have a feeling this could be a design choice to appeal the newer generation of Jurassic watchers. Or they could like give us a more correct later on with a patch.
I'm totally agree with you in all what you said. I'm too a fanatic nerd of the each desing from the original trilogy and nothing would like me more than Saber taken to consideration those desings 🙏
Honestly i never cared but i also used too have thing for animatronics only but I don’t mind cgi they are both tools and together they help make a better product other than that it would be nice to see a more Jurassic park ish design
i am still craving a jurassic park game where you can play as different dinos during the mayhem of the parks falling apart, herbs trying to not get eating and carnos trying to not get caught by humans and both do as much damage as possible.
Overall the dinosaur designs matter to me because the ‘93 film is the only Jurassic Park film that matters. Jurassic Planet or whatever it’s called now is just fan fiction. Same with Indiana Jones. Raiders of the Lost Ark is the only film that exists to me in that series. So if the T Rex design isn’t accurate to the ‘93 film believe me I’ll notice lol. Won’t stop me from enjoying the game but it’ll take my excitement down a few notches.
When I first watched JP I had nightmares with the Stan Winston T-Rex. But the CGI version didn’t have this effect. In fact I remembered to love the T-Rex and think it’s such a cool animal. The Telltale game seemed to replicate the Stan Winston model, and it looked scary as hell. Never understood why the last three movies wanted to make dinosaurs look friendlier and not so scary.. This is why I believe the Giga is a great JP design. It’s scary, it’s mean, it literally reminded me of the Spino and the Stan Winston Rex.
The first thing I noticed from the announcement trailer was how much the ending shot of the T.rex looked like the JW Rex, and it was a little confusing to me. Specifically because the JW rex is still the same rex, but significantly older and slightly malnourished. I didn't pick up on the other dinos nearly as much but I think if theres one they have to nail, it's the Rex, just because that animal has drastically changed and its easy to point out which version of the animal we see
although I agree with what you are saying, this is all second to having a GOOD FUN game, with the timeline it matters but I just hope and pray these devs make a kick ass game.
The devs of a JP game should know that OG JP fans quickly see the different versions of the Rex/ raptors. The JW versions were just too clean. The teeth and gums are too perfect and look too lean or too alike.
Totally get were you are coming from Klayton and I agree, I love the Stan Winston Mquete (I hope that is how you spell it right) as well as the CG animal they are both exremly cool. I like the Jurassic World design alot but the original 1993 design just screams T.rex in every way. My question for you however is A, have they included Rexy's missing tooth in the design after she broke it off on the Exlorer's plexiglass in the road attack scene? B, do you think that there is a chance we may see an adult/accurate Dilophosaurus in Survival, if so how would you implement such an animal into the game?
Ngl I love Jurassic park as much as the next guy and I defend it but gonna be real I can’t tell the difference lol even with you showing it I just don’t see it maybe I should wear my glasses
Continuity is key... And I for one feel these dino models need to be based on their 1993 versions I just hope they can get it as close as possible to their 93 models... I mean the walking with saga did that up to the prehistoric park where of course they made new models for the creatures all that and of course making more newer models for primeval so yeah all and all I'm looking forward to this game.
I might be bias because I seen the first film many, many times in theaters almost every weekend when it came out but yeah I hope it's looks like good ol' rexy. Stan Winston is a monster maker perfectionist. R.I.P.
Did anybody else hear the Mountain theme from the SNES Jurassic Park game towards the end of the video?! I got SUPER excited hearing that little Easter egg!
I kinda hope this game starts slightly before the film. It would be awesome to explore some of the backstage areas of the original park before things collapsed.
I'm not expecting Saber to give the dinosaurs their 1993 models, but it would be cool if they did. Especially the Velociraptors. The JW models always looked weird to me. Side note: I hope JPS has more game modes besides the story campaign.
I heard a piece of JP trivia I'd never heard before; According to Trevor C, and his video 'Kenner Jurassic Park' at a presentation with Kenner Executives and Steven Speilberg, Tim Effler unveiled a mock-up of the proposed toy box-art involving the now famous T-Rex silhouette. Speilberg stopped the meeting and demanded to know where had he gotten the design, and Tim responded he and Kenners graphic design had based their idea on Micheal Creightons original novel cover art. Speilberg rang the movies art director and informed him that 'We have our movies logo!' As the former director of preliminary designs and advanced concepts at Kenner, Tim has a book out soon outlining his JP marketing experiences.
It reminds me that they might change the look of the Spino in the next movie ( that's a rumor of course) to be more accurate. I'm not really happy with this ^^ But I swear talking about dinos facts can make some people really angry for some reasons.
The obvious solution that appeases pretty much everyone is to make DLC packs that allow you to turn on CGI, Animatronic, etc models from World or Park for applicable dinosaurs as you see fit. People get their choice and it gives the devs something to sell to increase profits. I myself only want Park designs but there are a lot of JW people. I couldn't care less whether the rex was the Winston or ILM model since i like both. The raptors I'd prefer the winston version, they had menace to them in the original.
That's important to me, I want it to be as faithful to the original as possible, I'll probably have to avoid consoles and buy a PC so I can download mods and modify things. 🦖 🦕
I just came across the whole Jurassic Park topic after like 2-3 years of absence and I’m really happy about the game and I just really want it to delve in to the horror aspects like the book.Which in turn will lead me to bitch online about a Dino Crisis Remake(please for the love of God and an OG RE3 Remake Jill deserves better ,Capcom🙏) and I’ll reread the book series again.I can’t wait for the game
Ok I cant remember if it was this model company that made small scale models of jp dinosaurs or if it was this 3d model on Google made by a fan but one of them not sure who some how got help from the ppl at stan Winston studios or at least connections to all of that and they gave them scans of maquette and I think the animatronic head but if one of them can get their hands on that material there is no reason why the DEVS can't a animatronic styled tyrannosaurs in the game.
The velociraptor that was locked in the fridge is randy and i do hope they will change the look of the dinosaurs to 1993 version to and Maybe the dinosaurs that we saw in the trailer are place holders until we get another trailer
Originally, Jurassic Park: Survival was gonna be a GameCube, PS2 and Xbox game in 2001. But it was cancelled for unknown reasons. It took place about 3 hours after the 1993 movie, like the new one.
It would be really cool if Saber Interactive would integrate a vehicle driving system into the next Jurassic Park: Survival. There could be different camera perspectives during confrontations with the dinosaurs. Why not also a co-op mode for greater immersion and more pressure on the players. One player to set up a winch or a bridge and the other to drive a vehicle with a permanent threat related to the elements, the hostile terrain and the dinosaurs. What do you think?
Yeah, I didn't notice the difference... what I did notice though was Dr. Joshi's footwear changing from some Doc Martens to some white running shoes between the pre-rendered footage and the pre-alpha footage.
With enough feedback and time I do hope they do edit the models to look more accurate - and have the actual JP Ingen clones instead of the modern JW Masrani clones, cause the differences between the different company's cloned species are quite evident. Do hope they edit the dinosaurs to resemble their classic counterparts rather than being recolored JW designs.
Biggest thing I want with the new dinosaurs is for them to be mutants rather than an attempt at an accurate dinosaur. Since I find the idea of clever mutant facsimiles more accurate to what the original films were going for. Scientists were never going to re-create 100% accurate dinosaurs because the DNA was lost to time. Jurassic World's problem was that they tried to make the creatures seem natural, too accurate, and non-disruptive to the environment. Though, it makes sense that some were more monstruous than others because of how they were treated or created They shouldn't all be a bunch of movie monsters, but they shouldn't be what we would expect according to scientists either, a fine line between reality and fiction will have to be drawn. For the purposes of gameplay, this can either make or break the game. Mutated "dinosaurs" make interesting gameplay, even if it's a few unique variants of already existing species. Hope they capitalize on the idea that InGen wasn't always honest about what it made. "Dinosaurs lived sixty five million years ago. What is left of them is fossilized in the rocks, and it is in the rock that real scientists make real discoveries. Now what John Hammond and InGen did at Jurassic Park is create genetically engineered theme park monsters, nothing more and nothing less". -Doctor Grant
If we get a decent JP game I'm happy I'll be ok as long as the Rex looks close to the Rex in the films, JP on SNES was a fave of mine and I haven't played a decent JP game since, not counting Op Gensis as it was a park builder.
I liked how Jurassic world evolution handled it which was to use the skin color and textures of the 1993 rex on the model of the 2015 rex since the JW version of the T. rex is a mixture of both the animatronic and cgi model. There would be a fuss since this is gonna be a situation no one’s gonna be happy but I feel like that’d be their best bet.
I agree I think the raptor models in the 1993 film look more terrifying then the jurassic world design, the 1993 raptors have more of cold blood killer look than the ok jurassic world ones

Ultimately I don't care about the look of the Dinos too much as long as they look good
I completely agree with your statement that the production team should really put in more effort!
I agree i love the old models way way way more
i am still craving a jurassic park game where you can play as different dinos during the mayhem of the parks falling apart, herbs trying to not get eating and carnos trying to not get caught by humans and both do as much damage as possible.
I didn't pick up on the other dinos nearly as much but I think if theres one they have to nail, it's the Rex, just because that animal has drastically changed and its easy to point out which version of the animal we see
So true.
What Always borders me since the JW movies is that the OG T-Rex does not use his original roars from JP anymore. They sound so different
although I agree with what you are saying, this is all second to having a GOOD FUN game, with the timeline it matters but I just hope and pray these devs make a kick ass game.
Look like a good game i might buy it when it's out
Hello again Klyton
I want to ask about what
What do you expect from jw4/jp7?
Nice video ♥️
Ngl I love Jurassic park as much as the next guy and I defend it but gonna be real I can’t tell the difference lol even with you showing it I just don’t see it maybe I should wear my glasses
Klayton is the GOAT
Continuity is key... And I for one feel these dino models need to be based on their 1993 versions I just hope they can get it as close as possible to their 93 models... I mean the walking with saga did that up to the prehistoric park where of course they made new models for the creatures all that and of course making more newer models for primeval so yeah all and all I'm looking forward to this game.
I might be bias because I seen the first film many, many times in theaters almost every weekend when it came out but yeah I hope it's looks like good ol' rexy. Stan Winston is a monster maker perfectionist. R.I.P.
Klayton! We need another tresspasser playthrough! lol
Good points.
Finally, someone notices that 🎊
I'm not expecting Saber to give the dinosaurs their 1993 models, but it would be cool if they did.
Speilberg rang the movies art director and informed him that 'We have our movies logo!'
As the former director of preliminary designs and advanced concepts at Kenner, Tim has a book out soon outlining his JP marketing experiences.
It reminds me that they might change the look of the Spino in the next movie ( that's a rumor of course) to be more accurate. I'm not really happy with this ^^
But I swear talking about dinos facts can make some people really angry for some reasons.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
That's important to me, I want it to be as faithful to the original as possible, I'll probably have to avoid consoles and buy a PC so I can download mods and modify things. 🦖 🦕
Totally agree. Og jp Dino design was definitely the best out of the entire franchise
id love if they kept the dinosaur models from the film. ive never been overly keen on the changes later. especially the gallimimus and T rex
I think it would be cool if the Rex model you get is just a setting that lets you pick the model you want, JW, JP CGI or JP Animatronic.
6:06 might have been good to point out the difference cos i cant tell them apart
Originally, Jurassic Park: Survival was gonna be a GameCube, PS2 and Xbox game in 2001. But it was cancelled for unknown reasons. It took place about 3 hours after the 1993 movie, like the new one.
They COULD pull a Jurassic world evaluation and let us choose with dino we can play with, that would be super dope
I prefer the original dinosaurs as well
It would be really cool if Saber Interactive would integrate a vehicle driving system into the next Jurassic Park: Survival.
It would be very cool yes
Yeah, I didn't notice the difference... what I did notice though was Dr. Joshi's footwear changing from some Doc Martens to some white running shoes between the pre-rendered footage and the pre-alpha footage.
With enough feedback and time I do hope they do edit the models to look more accurate - and have the actual JP Ingen clones instead of the modern JW Masrani clones, cause the differences between the different company's cloned species are quite evident. Do hope they edit the dinosaurs to resemble their classic counterparts rather than being recolored JW designs.
I love your voice
Love this
Biggest thing I want with the new dinosaurs is for them to be mutants rather than an attempt at an accurate dinosaur.
I said all this ages ago! For example, Rex's design looks so different in Jurassic World.
Love the OG animatronics
