So I don't know if this was already said or if I'm a couple of days too late. I think that the game is going off of the movie as well as the book. Back in 1993 I was only a year old I wouldn't have been old enough to play the games back then. However I did get to play The Lost World game and on arcade style in the old days. Klayton you're still my number one dinosaur TH-camr remember that. 🦖
The raptors and stuff might be a throwback to the original books. They might have gotten a clutch outside the fences at one point and then been put back in cages or something and there is now a breeding population on the island.
Great video on the Jurassic Park Survival Game and it feels absolutely wild and can’t wait to see what they’re going for especially the dinosaurs and the events that happened after the first Jurassic Park Movie and it’s about to get Wild Big Time and keep it up with the Jurassic Content. Pretty Epic Video and as Always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
I love the design for the trex in this so far, at least from that screenshot. The only dinosaur that I believe doesn't look good from the in-game screenshot is definitely the Velociraptors, they do not look like the JP raptors, they look like JW raptors with the colours of the JP raptors, and it seems the eyes are the wrong colour being yellow instead of green
That concept art of Mia on the raft actually reminds me more of the raging river raft level of Jurassic Park Rampage Edition than the T-Rex raft attack scene in the novel. In the novel Grant, Lex and Tim were on a raft in a lagoon deep enough for the adult Rex to swim in and the water current was relatively calm. They only escaped because the juvenile Rex showed up and tried to steal the adult's kill. Mia looks like she's being chased at speed by those raptors. Speaking of which, as far as the raptors are concerned, I think the developers are looking toward the novel for inspiration. There were a few unaccounted for raptors in the book. We know that two of the three original on screen raptors are dead, it is implied in the teaser trailer the third one got out of the freezer and likely stumbled upon a feral pack of raptors, which are the ones in the game. I had a whole discussion about the raptors over on SWRVE's channel (title post: 4 NEW IMAGES, RELEASE DATE INFO & NEW DETAILS ABOUT JURASSIC PARK SURVIVAL!). I can re-post here if interested.
I wonder how you'd feel about starting a gaming series. I think we'd love to watch you play some old Jurassic park games. And i'd personally like to see you play the new one when it comes out.
Can't wait to see what jurassic park survivor has to offer I especially love that it's set immediately after the original film era timeframe really miss that old school jurassic park feel and hopefully we are getting to back to that im also hoping for the new movie returns to the tone of the original trilogy and its gotta have that opening music with the classic raptor theme with the choir and flute man that has always give me the scares ever since i was a kid everytime I heard that score and I loved it
I hope to see a full grown Dilo, it is canon that they aren’t adult because during the production of the lost world Steven Spielberg, stan Winston and Jack Horner were all talking about the “spitter in Jurassic park” and how they had so many questions about its size and stan Winston says “ well how old, do you know how old it is, this is a young dilophosaur” nedry says “I thought you were one of your big brothers, your bit so bad” implying it wasn’t an adult, In the lost world we can see in the corner the scene where Kelly was cleaning up the kitchen after she made a mess a dilophosaurus image with a description and in the description the final few words were “20ft in length” and the one in the first film was only 6ft I’m surprised they have never shown an adult Dilo in this franchise and I hope this changes either in this game or in the next movie
I forgot to add that the juveniles we see in Jurassic park, camp Cretaceous and dominion hunt in packs but it is speculated that adults are solitary and keep to themselves which is why we’ve only seen multiple juvenile specimens in this franchise and no adults
In the movie,Grant and the kids find that nest...Pretty sure if you look carefully the footprints have 2 toe prints...so could be raptors breeding in the wild. Pretty pumped for the game or rather to see how it plays out. Would be cool if it's a mix of movie/book cannon to be honest.
I might be in the minority here but I'm glad they decided to push the release date back to next year. To quote the great Shigeru Miyamoto, "A delayed game will eventually be good, a bad game is bad forever." And I'm SO tired of bad Jurassic Park games! 😭
The book has a wild population, they count numbers they should have and not could have. As for the people on the island, maybe some people missed the boat :)
One bit of dialogue which always confused me was when Robert Muldoon said.... "We bred EIGHT originally, but when SHE came in she took over the pride and killed all but TWO of the others. Would Hammond and the other park managers seriously let a dangerous animal kill 6 other million dollar assets without intervening? 🤷♂ I always reckoned a couple survived and where being treated for their injuries.
Well I am bummed out that they’re not releasing it this year, but with this new content that was shown it’s probably better that they’re taking their time and not rushing it. Happy 31st anniversary Jurassic Park!
Yeah, I figured it wasn't coming this year when nothing showed up. The raptors have to be the ones Grant "encountered" in the wild in the original movie. We didn't see adult prints but baby raptors wouldn't go scampering off on their own. If we actually had the motion sensor thing expounded on in the movie like in the novel we would have known for sure but I bet InGen's incompetence had be what chalks up why there are raptors in the park still. Also they have to use the Aviary or the Lagoon. Maybe the rapids chase leads to that. Kudos for using Rampage Edition music.
Happy 31st anniversary to you Jurassic Park and also to me too with upcoming birthday in September 13th again just as old as this franchise only Jurassic Park is older than me by 2 months again it was a privilege to be born back in 1993 but all and all i love this franchise and hoping that we more potential content from the the next trilogy.
That screenshot of the Trex legitimately gives me the chills on such an unreal level, that looks pretty damn good for being just an alpha screenshot! Also, idk if I'm alone on this, but I had a thought about the development. Sure, it's a bummer that so far, including this, we don't have much news to look at, and that we probably gotta wait a while (not an issue for me), but... I'm getting the vibe that Saber is taking this project seriously, and that they might not have an actual date set yet, since they are most likely prioritizing development over stuff such as news, so that they can ship out the game in a good state. I'm really happy with today news, ngl.
I’m excited too explore areas that the movie didn’t really show like the dock area maybe the river raft ride maybe an office area were Hammond kept notes just too expand on lore but I hope they give it the trespasser treatment.
The nest of Eggs they found in the Movie was a Raptor nest, with the fences down they now have real full access to the Island, the one's we saw were the ones that were believed to be the only ones. But I still can't wrap my head around why she went into the park... I get that the Delopo was stalking her, probably has a taste for human thanks to Nedry, but there were options...
I like the fact that the velociraptors are also on scene during the river run ( even if they aren’t technically supposed to be any more of them after the first film)- it’s simply due to the fact that it is a nostalgia trip for me, playing the river stage on Jurassic Park for the Sega Genesis. It all comes full circle for me. 🙌 Also, Troodons from the last Jurassic game was a blessing, let’s keep those please 🙏
Can’t wait for this! Klayton, have you checked out the recent footage for the new Indiana Jones game? Both of these have me excited to get back into gaming after a long break.
Even though it won't be coming out this year, I'm still really excited for this game. It looks like they are adding a lot of detail into this game which is really good to hear. It would be really cool if they add some sort of stalking mechanic to the raptors, where once in a while when you are walking to somewhere you would hear rustling in the bushes or hear them growl next to you, something like that would add a lot to the horror factor.
They talked about we should expect something new from the dinos, and of the things that come up my mind are those baby raptors (which the movie franchise severily lacks), fully adults dilos and (?) the juvenile rex. This game has me pumped up !!!
I can not wait for this game to come out!!! Concept art is awesome,I do hope they take some more inspiration from the book, would love to see the junior t-rex make an appearance from the book! Also i do hope we get a chance to come across robert muldoons body,be a great way to acquire a weapon!
7:21 was that the pc game Danger Zone?! I absolutely loved playing that game with my best friend as kids. Even though it seemed like an easy board game style game, it felt like a lot of pressure when you had to trap the Spino, avoid the T-Rex and other mini games. And playing raptor vs raptor battles was fun
Hey Klayton one of the possibilities for the extra raptors could be the fact that they're the ones from the wild. there were two juvenile raptors that got away from the island on the ship in the book. so it could be one of those scenarios. Perhaps maybe they're taking more information from the book and adding it in
Really, really interesting information. I'm happy to see the game is still being developed. The game now having more Raptors than the one that got locked in the freezer and then broke free kinda gets me a little scared because now more than one Raptor will be on the hunt for you and will look for you forever which would probably make the game more intense. So, yeah, this game has gotten me a little more excited. I really hope the game releases in 2025 to maybe release around when Jurassic World 4 comes out. We'll see. Have an awesome day, Klayton! Happy 31st Anniversary to Jurassic Park!😁🎉🦖
That image of Mr. DNA and the theater got me thinking: Hammond was mad the restraints on the moving theater were easy to undo while it was going. What if somebody before everything went downhill actually fixed the restraints to where they can't just be easily undone. Then later Mia running for her life end up in here and decides to sit down assuming that the power is off or the ride is not operational. Only in shock to turn on and restrain her to the ride and then things only get worse as the noise of the ride brings in a velociraptor or troodon. Now that would add the suspense and horror aspect as Mia quickly struggles to get free as the dino that's come to get her realizes she's stuck so it just slowly walks over to nab her. Probally have it where when you get free in time Mia can then dodge the dino and bolt out the exit door.
I can’t believe this is real and we’re getting it. This is the number one game I’ve always wanted to be made out of anything and it’s real now! HELL YEAHH!!!
I'm bummed that we won't be getting it this year. I was hoping to tell my hubby I wanted it for Christmas ;-; I'm nervous about the raptors too, though we might only be accounting for 2 unexplained ones, given that they showed the one escaped the freezer. I guess one way they could explain it was that - given the presence of the baby they saw hatch in the movie - they've been trying to breed other raptors to introduce to the pride. The other two could be ones that they've bred but haven't yet introduced to the pride
Really hoping we get an option for 3rd person, similar to what Resident Evill Village did. Especially if the release is a long ways off. Apart from that I would love to see them incorporate the Raptor nest from the book.
You should do a gameplay video of this dinosaur game called Oakwood the gaming beaver already did this game and for a game with low budget It’s surprisingly good.
Of course I'm bummed it's not coming this year, but from the little bits we've seen and heard it seems like what we will eventually get is a polished banger of a game. That first screenshot with the T-Rex staring us down in the distance was both excellent and even a little unsettling. :D
Whenever someone makes a mod of this game in the future, could someone or more put in that mod, death (from puss in boots the last wish) making an appearance every time (even if mostly every time) in your last seconds before you get killed during gameplay? That could fuel the fear people would feel. Keyword _could._
On the DPG website it was said that the Raptor egg hatchlings that were found by Grant and the kids were found by the 94 crew but all were found dead and were still said to be younglings. And in the Sorkin journals in the main menu of JPTG Sorkin was talking about how she was pissed that Hammond bought a bunch of new Raptors from Isla Sorna to replace the dead ones the Big One killed in the first movie. I really hope the Raptors we are going to see are the Scarred Raptor pack from 2011 as there’s no information on what happened to them post JPTG. They have a chance to answer some unanswered questions now and hopefully they won’t blast it.
Amy we kind of already knew that was going to be more than that three rafter pack ones because Alan Grant did fine eggs of the rafters inside the old rafter paddock
My biggest question/concern is how the game will play out after the main story. Will we be able to roam the island and survive just without objectives, will there be little mini-games or activities to do, or will the game just end completely and the only way to continue playing is by replaying the story?
"I'm looking forward to coherency and consistency" Oh brother, I hope so. Because those last 2 movies did nothing for me but leave a really bad taste in my mouth, and as much as I love park builders, I just want something more like Trespasser where the player is actually trying to survive the environment of the islands.
For the other raptors and possible species not included in the movie brochure, it could either be explained as they were studying or holding these creatures on another part of the island and they were released after the evacuation, evaluating them to learn their mutations. The developers said we will see areas that weren't directly seen but implied, so an area where they can study the behaviors of these animals before deciding if they are a good fit for the park, plus it would make sense that InGen would want to know what they were dealing with before they put them into an enclosure that might be a bad fit for the creatures. They could have been experimenting on these creatures also, I know for a fact that InGen would want to study the raptors, so they would make more that were dedicated to this line of research. Said experiments can make the dinosaurs mutants, with abnormal characteristics (a way to explain their unorthodox attributes compared to the other dinosaurs, along with their hatred for humans (a way to explain why they may pursue Joshi and why these ones have specific traits to make gameplay more intresting). These dinosaurs can later be explained away as not having survived until 1994. Alternatively, there was some kind of shipment inbound, either the crew got there and were killed by the dinosaurs, mirroring The Venture in The Lost World or they got there and just dumped their containers on the shore, eventually having them break out into the wild once they realized that the park plan was no longer possible, probably to make space for the evacuees. It would explain why they weren't mentioned in the cleanup, because they weren't supposed to be there yet. It'll probably be the first one though.
JP survival should show death variations like how OG RE4 did. Even show a scene of a raptor attacking Joshi similar to how Muldoon was bit by the raptor in the first film. I think ingen and Biosyn should be mentioned and in the game in one or two segments where Maya Joshi works with ingen and they have to watch out for Biosyn returning to the island. The story can also take elements from JP2; The chaos continues and JP classic arcade. Michael wolfskin should return from The chaos continues.
Take just a second Klayton & think. Where did the raptor eggs in the wild come from? Dr. Wu set them randomly in the middle of the park to see if they would hatch? It's proof that some raptors escaped captivity & bred in the wild, just like in the novel. Grant & the kids finding a nest proves there are at least 2 raptors loose on the island besides the one that somehow got out of the freezer. Just because the movie didn't expressly show us raptors escaping & surviving, well, the eggs didn't just show you out of nowhere. You need adults to lay eggs. I mean...we all DO know how babies are made...right? 😂😂
Well... Grant and the kids did find hatched eggs in the movie, so those could possibly be the Raptor eggs from before the Big one and her pride of 2 were transported to that holding pen. And we know that, much like in the book, in the film, some species do reproduce without the park staff's knowledge.
That concept art for JP survival of Mia in the river raft being chased by two velociraptors really gives off Michael Crichton's book inspiration I approve of this gets me major excited for the game.

The only dinosaur that I believe doesn't look good from the in-game screenshot is definitely the Velociraptors, they do not look like the JP raptors, they look like JW raptors with the colours of the JP raptors, and it seems the eyes are the wrong colour being yellow instead of green
I wanna see the aquarium with some aquatic dinos such as the Megalodon, Mosasaurus, Kronosaurus, Elasmosaurus, and many more,
That concept art of Mia on the raft actually reminds me more of the raging river raft level of Jurassic Park Rampage Edition than the T-Rex raft attack scene in the novel.
I'm totally amazed by this river raft picture 😍 I hope You will make a gameplay here on youtube of this game when it's out!
That screengrab of the Rex out of focus is creepy and I’m here for it! Let’s go!
I am so hyped for this game!!!
I wonder how you'd feel about starting a gaming series. I think we'd love to watch you play some old Jurassic park games. And i'd personally like to see you play the new one when it comes out.
Can't wait to see what jurassic park survivor has to offer I especially love that it's set immediately after the original film era timeframe really miss that old school jurassic park feel and hopefully we are getting to back to that im also hoping for the new movie returns to the tone of the original trilogy and its gotta have that opening music with the classic raptor theme with the choir and flute man that has always give me the scares ever since i was a kid everytime I heard that score and I loved it
I hope to see a full grown Dilo,
it is canon that they aren’t adult because during the production of the lost world Steven Spielberg, stan Winston and Jack Horner were all talking about the “spitter in Jurassic park” and how they had so many questions about its size and stan Winston says “ well how old, do you know how old it is, this is a young dilophosaur”
nedry says “I thought you were one of your big brothers, your bit so bad” implying it wasn’t an adult,
In the lost world we can see in the corner the scene where Kelly was cleaning up the kitchen after she made a mess a dilophosaurus image with a description and in the description the final few words were “20ft in length” and the one in the first film was only 6ft
I’m surprised they have never shown an adult Dilo in this franchise and I hope this changes either in this game or in the next movie
I forgot to add that the juveniles we see in Jurassic park, camp Cretaceous and dominion hunt in packs but it is speculated that adults are solitary and keep to themselves which is why we’ve only seen multiple juvenile specimens in this franchise and no adults
If this game doesn't feature a tricycloplots, I will lose it.
Maybe they'll introduce it in jwe3 😅
Just don't go crying to Mr Kirby when it shows up.
@@dmaxwell910901It’s okay as long you have a bathroom or a kitchen
The hell is that???
I've always wanted to see a tricycloplot!
I hope this game answers what us Jurassic Park have been wondering for a while. Happy 31st Jurassic!
The only problem is the fact that they are using the Jurassic world models for the dinosaurs and not the Jurassic park ones
I think the only dinosaur that doesn't is the trex, which looks awesome btw
31 years of Jurassic Park?!?!? Where’s all that time going???
I might be in the minority here but I'm glad they decided to push the release date back to next year. To quote the great Shigeru Miyamoto, "A delayed game will eventually be good, a bad game is bad forever." And I'm SO tired of bad Jurassic Park games! 😭
The book has a wild population, they count numbers they should have and not could have. As for the people on the island, maybe some people missed the boat :)
I wonder where the other raptors came from
One bit of dialogue which always confused me was when Robert Muldoon said....
"We bred EIGHT originally, but when SHE came in she took over the pride and killed all but TWO of the others.
Would Hammond and the other park managers seriously let a dangerous animal kill 6 other million dollar assets without intervening? 🤷♂
I always reckoned a couple survived and where being treated for their injuries.
Well I am bummed out that they’re not releasing it this year, but with this new content that was shown it’s probably better that they’re taking their time and not rushing it. Happy 31st anniversary Jurassic Park!
Maya Joshi looks pretty much like the new Yasmina´s design in chaos theory lmao
I honestly did not know this game existed. I hope it turns out well since jp 1 is one of my favorite movies.
I forget the rafter level on the Sega genesis was based on the book !!!
I cant wait, I hope this is the AAA experience weve always craved!!
Delay as long as you need. I haven’t been this excited for a game since halo 3. Don’t rush it.
Or even see the aviary and a volcano.
JPS might as well be called Jurassic park: worlds collide or something because they are blending both the films and the Crichton novels so well
I like the fact that the velociraptors are also on scene during the river run ( even if they aren’t technically supposed to be any more of them after the first film)- it’s simply due to the fact that it is a nostalgia trip for me, playing the river stage on Jurassic Park for the Sega Genesis. It all comes full circle for me. 🙌
Also, Troodons from the last Jurassic game was a blessing, let’s keep those please 🙏
Can’t wait for this! Klayton, have you checked out the recent footage for the new Indiana Jones game? Both of these have me excited to get back into gaming after a long break.
That does look cool yeah!
I need this game in my life right now
They talked about we should expect something new from the dinos, and of the things that come up my mind are those baby raptors (which the movie franchise severily lacks), fully adults dilos and (?) the juvenile rex. This game has me pumped up !!!
I hope we see Ceratosaurs. But I hate that the crests got turned into a horn. I’d love it if they updated the design
Hope there's a mod to switch her for jerry Harding or something i dont fancy anymore "beloved property but girlboss latina lead" thanks.
I can't wait to get this game I love all jurassic park movie
I think it’s good they’re delaying it I do want similar cgi and graphics to the actual film and sounds should be as well
Hey Klayton one of the possibilities for the extra raptors could be the fact that they're the ones from the wild. there were two juvenile raptors that got away from the island on the ship in the book. so it could be one of those scenarios.
He said the Raptor killed the others off, but in a company of coverups and secrecy, I don’t believe that
At 1:33, my phone went straight to an old spice commercial lol
That image of Mr. DNA and the theater got me thinking:
Hammond was mad the restraints on the moving theater were easy to undo while it was going.
I'm bummed that we won't be getting it this year. I was hoping to tell my hubby I wanted it for Christmas ;-;
I'm nervous about the raptors too, though we might only be accounting for 2 unexplained ones, given that they showed the one escaped the freezer.
I hope the game is more in the lines of taking place during the first movie and the day after . It would make sense for raptors
That concept art looks cool.
The modeling of the creatures is, for once, very faithful to that of the first and second movie. This title will be excellent.
"Where did these Raptors come from?"
Dr. Malcom "Life, uh, finds a way..."
What if the raptors are an indication that part of the game actually takes place prior to them being killed, during the initial power failure.
