I love my advanced clutch (single disc). By all means my car is only fbo and cam but man does that clutch help SOOO MUCH! Have mine set differently for radials and slicks, and also street/track hits. I've had it slip in mid 2nd gear but that was b/c I adjusted the wrong way. Live and Learn. (Clutch hurts feelings too 😏)

All the heat spots on the floater, flywheel, and clutch face represent hardening of the steel which will make it difficult for the clutch disc to grab the steel. When the steel has hardened and the metallic disc has hardened, the grip is greatly reduced. If the height is not critical, I would resurface the steel and dress the clutch disc. If the height is critical, it's time for a new clutch, which is a consumable for us.

In the future, if you need a specific shim, you could super glue some washers to the table of your mill and mill them down to the size you need. To get them off the table, you could use a heat gun to break down the glue.

Even if I had a mill in my garage, I would still just grab it from Mcmaster. Shipping is pretty fast and prices are fair enough most of the time. Good tip but the easy button is there.

I just wallered out my pilot bushing too. Probably should check it everytime i check the clutch.

The Old Man Garge always saws to Bucko look like a lack of maintenance. Yes that clutch looked totally pissed at u for sure. Keep testing and work that clutch. Talk to Cleetus and ur body grub hub to help u with that to adjusting it.
