  • What's up!! If you drive a manual, and you've been wondering if switching from 6th to 3rd, or 4th to 2nd will hurt your engine, this is the video for you!
    This has always been something I've wondered, and luckily it is completely safe!
    Thank you so much for watching!

    One cool idea for you would be to just go on a 30min cruise at least once a week with the GoPro on the wide open roads and just talk with us about life, plans, goals, car ideas and stuff like that. Not only does it make for easy, effortless, consistent content, but it would also open up more discussions and ideas for this entire community we have here!

      Doing that on top of your regular scheduled videos will result in more views, likes, income, possibly small sponsors, which will all funnel together and help everything take off so that you can reach your ultimate goals and motivate us in the process :)

    You can skip gears depending on your speed, I do it all the time. I never go into 5th or 6th gear in the city. Those gears are like cruise control on the highway.

    theres no harm in skipping gears, going up or down, its a myth. also, many people think that coasting in neutral is bad for some reason, its basically the same as having the clutch pedal down, the transmission is not engaged. also, you should mention downshifting as a way of slowing down when going down a steep hill. you can really save your brakes that way, engine braking. truckers are trained to d o this. long live the manual! my car is much slower than yours, but i love my tiny ass 5 speed

    Hey, to stabilize the drink, try putting a piece of towel or washcloth in the cup holder before you put the can into it. Once you have the right size and shape (by trial and adjustments) you can just leave the towel there unless you change drink sizes, or until you need to wash it...which may be necessary since it also soaks up spills. Really enjoyed the video!🧋

      I understand what you mean! The only way I could imagine skipping gears to upshift would be of any use, is if you were really trying to save fuel economy and get it to 6th as fast as possible. Not really necessary though if you shift as low speeds! I appreciate your comment Aaron!!

Sounds a little rice sometimes but ya know what driving a manual is supposed to be fun lol

    • @JohnnyB.
      @JohnnyB.  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question!! I stick to 3 months or 3k miles, whichever comes first, but usually its the 3k miles lol the car burns oil (about a quart per month) so I'm not too worried about the oil being really dark/dirty! Plus I'm always topping it off haha. Its mostly just to swap out the oil filter, I'd say the oil could go probably 5k miles though! I'm also running synthetic only!
