Great, straight-forward advice and a very clear understanding of how to manage this great little tool. Cheers from Brisbane Australia. I just went out and purchased one of these Edgers.

I have this same edger and it’s one of my favorite Ryobi tools. Much better job than the string edger produces. Nice video!

Just replaced the blade and watched your video to make sure it wasn’t going to be a pain to replace (thanks TH-cam). My blade wasn’t as bad as yours but i grounded it down a little over an inch (3-4cm) not looking forward to dig up trenches again lol. BTW, that Subaru is sexy in the background!!!

Great video, anyone that uses an edger knows the noise is due to using the concrete as a guide to get your lawn edge straight with the concrete.

"what happened to your door" hahaha!!! the difference between old blade and new is crazy, mine could do with replacing too i'd say

The grass was wet and the new blade flicked up lots of mud up onto the door. It surprising how much better a new blade is.

For anyone, is it possible to put a normal rectangle blade on this or does it have to b the ryobi blade?

Hey guys, I can't get the blade off to put the replacement on. The nut just doesn't want to move. I've used a 13mm socket but just can't the nut to move.

You might want to try a penetrating lubricant like CRC penetr8.

Try turning clockwise I saw where some are reverse threaded. Since this was a year old I'm sure you figured it out

The original blade has a less aggressive blade face. This is the heavy dirty blade replacement which should be the standard figment.

From your understanding, can a replacement of the original be purchased?

Replacing the blade on a ryobi edger is so easy u make it look like a major operation wake up to yourself

Did we say it was hard Rodney? No, we simply made a video showing that 1) it could be done, 2) the difference it makes and 3) because we wanted to and it’s one of the jobs we were working on in the garage this weekend. Thanks for the view though!
