Ryobi One 18v Cordless Edger Review

I review my Ryobi One 18v cordless edger.
I bought this one from Bunnings, as a skin only, as I had a 5.0 Ah Battery from my whipper Snipper (line trimmer) www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v...
overall a great investment if you want your lawn edges along pavers or concrete, to look professional and be the envy of the neighbours.

9amp battery gives more torque. easier to cut through non edged lawns. also change the blade to a 3 edge blade. You will notice less stalling.

Thanks for the tip. Can you please tell me more about this 3 edge blade? Is it Ryobi, does it have a product or model number? I will need a new blade by the end of the year.

​@@outie555twoit was a amazon purchase. just make sure it's the same length and the center hole the same diameter. Just as a warning the 3 blade system is heavier and could pose some issues with the motor in long term. I realized this after I was running the edger. The torque requirement is much greater when stalled during edging. The motor has to turn over with the heavier blade adding stress outside of its specifications when adding a 9amp battery.

It can chip concrete if you are rushing. Keep two hands on it and take your time and you'll be ok.

did you say $50 for a replacement blade? i pay $20 for a pack of 5 let me know what blades you use i might try it out id say for $50 it must be made of something indestructible that last forever

I just checked the Bunnings website and the same blade it comes with is 20 dollars for one. That's here in Australia. Is the 5 pack Australia or overseas?
