The weed eater and edger is such a great combo to have. Theyll do your whole regular block of land on one 6amp battery. The clip on hanging hook is very handy for the one your not using.
Bought one last year to go with my Greenworks trimmer (and lawn mower)-------works great since I normally try to keep the grass trimmed. My 55 year old gas edger will be going away shortly.
I have the greenworks 40v digipro trimmer it has the option to use a edger attachment that I purchased. I can tell you one thing the motor for the GW is pathetically under powered it constantly stops when running into thick grass. I have the 18v ryobi edger and it puts the GW to shame. luckily the edger attachment was 29$ on sale. I could possible replace with the ryobi if I can find a adapter that I can use my GW batteries. This edger test is not very good as there is no heavily over grown and thick grass when he edges.
I still like my craftsman walk behind edger more because it stays even better but this thing is great for small spots or touch ups. The depth changes so much on a long run it makes it too annoying to use.
Appears to shoot the grass and dirt right back into the freshly-cut channel. Hmmm... I have an older version of this edger and will probably just continue using it instead of upgrading.
question I just bought a string trimer and an edger attachment. Problem I cannot get the string nor the edger attachment to fit on the motor shift. All 3 measures with a caliper 1". Any suggestion?
I got it figured out, it appears the motor shift part may have been damage during shipping although the box showed no damage, I pride the slot out a little until it fit. Now it works nicely. Thanks for helping

Of all the videos I’ve watched, yours was the simplest. Thanks.

Just picked one up. Thanks for the overview. I didn't know about the adjustable wheel!

Cool channel. Getting more into DIY projects myself lately. Thanks for the sub!
Thanks! Yours is great too! Cheers!
Thanks man, great video! Going to get it soon.
Great video. I wish I had seen it before buying the Greenworks 40v. That won't take any of my gas attachments. FB Marketplace, here I come!

Really helpful, got the electric expand-it with edger.

The depth only changes if your waving it up and down like a turkey when using it.

Do you think it would cut deep and wide enough for 3/4" pvc for a water line to the back yard?
No. The blade is about 1/4 inch wide.
do you have the brushed or brushless expand it head? and are u using the low or high speed setting to edge?
Hi there! Is there anyway to tighten the blade?
Getting one
How does this attachment do with battery life? Does it seem to use more battery than the string trimmer attachment?
I find a bit less, as the edger blade cuts easier than the line trimmer, and weighs less.

Did you loosen the clamp for the receiver end? Make sure the metal rod inside lines up. That's all I can suggest. Sorry.

Our adjusting knob keeps coming loose as it being used and the wheel wobbles. What causes that and how can we can we fix it?
Did you try to really tighten it? If it continues to be a problem I would return it.
@@CCSandSonsWorkshop If it is too tight the wheel won’t turn
We found out there is a missing axle spacer! I ordered one and now it works fine!
Mines didn't come with Allen key should I return it?
Do you have a spare one at home? I actually never even used it. It was setup right out of the box.
Mine worked great until it started smoking. Granted the sidewalk hasn't been edged in 4 years
Wow, not good! Did you contact Ryobi?
@@CCSandSonsWorkshop i actually just purchased it on Friday. Home Depot was able to let me exchange it today thankfully!
100 dollars now
edge....lol
