You twist the belt 90 degrees for the timing belt I believe and 180 for the balance shaft belt and your tension should be pretty close. Usually the balance shaft belt tends to be too tight and sound like a supercharger whine.
Was there oil in the coolant reservoir? The seals on the oil cooler may have gone bad. On the passenger side of the block the oil cooler is mounted under a cover that also houses the oil pressure valve, sending unit, and oil filter. When the O rings go bad, oil gets into the coolant, however it is possible that coolant can get into the crankcase.
Yes it seems to have been the oil cooler seals but I’ll know for sure when I change the timing/balance belts and can run it for a while. I’ll have a follow up video in the next month or so. I just have a lot of “larger” projects I’m working on wrapping up 🤘
