    K270 is a great choice for a 50/50 rider.

A little light on the tread would be nice. The first one was good but the other two just look like black circles. Couldn't see the tread pattern. But I sincerely do appreciate your effort and your channel. Thank you

I always ignore the off road / onroad of tires. Even if I was only going to be in the muck and the rocks 10% of the time, I need full knobs when I am doing it.
My present tire of choice is the Tusk Dsport. All the grip of a D606 without the cost.

@@IAmYourReflection Nah. It's a knobby, so not a joy, but the compound is firm and the knobs are huge, so better than many. About the same as a Dunlop D606, superior to the Trackmasters I had.

Sets (front and rear) of Dunlop D952 or Shinko 244.
The d952 for occasional or weekend ride.
The Shinko 244 for max grip off road and tarmac that last until the end of knobs. Best bang for buck as well.

Tusk dual sport adventure tires are half the cost of 606 and last seriously exactly as long and very similar traction and tread
I did 606 for 3000 miles 2 x’sand now do tusk dual sport and get 3000 miles from them at almost half the cost.
Hope that helps someone save some cash ;)

Going to be interested to see what rubber you put in the 300 Rally considering the changes in the market since this was originally shot.
I run Michelin Trackers on my 250 Rally. Don’t last particularly long on road but grip fantastically in the dirt.

I need a dork's opinion. I'm thinking Kenda Millville 2 front/ Trakmaster rear. I'm mostly riding sandy trails in the NJ Pine Barrens CRF300Rally (non-ABS).
And thanks for making me miss my NES and helping me pick my Rally.

He's trying this new format doing 60 second videos in addition to the regular releases. I'm pretty sure if you search this page there are some longer tire videos available. I started going back and watching some of the old stuff in the last week or two. Tons of hidden old knowledge back there.

I had a Honda xr650r plated . Had good luck with Dunlop at81 front and a 5.10x18 shinko 244 in the rear . But that was for 3 weeks in Baja . The shinko was no good in mud . I could get 2500-3000 miles on that set up.

Been thinking about a wider tire for the rear. Maybe a 130 or 140/18. Thoughts? I'm still a beginner so any and everyone with some advice would be appreciated.
I have a friend with a 300 Beta, running a 140 (wide) tire on the rear and swears by it. More tire on the ground and sticks out past the rim for even more traction in certain terrain. I have a 250 dual sport that is going to see, probably more off road than on but also be a 30 minute commute to work. Thoughts? Comments?

What are your thoughts with running a 130/90/18 on D606 for a 300L. Is that too heavy of a rear tire? Seems like a big jump from stock. I’m fairly new to dual sport. It’s been a blast so far. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks

The Scout has to be one of the longest lasting tires on the market. Great in most conditions. However, my experience has been that they are atrocious in the mud.

Poor person version of the D606 is the Tusk Dsport (but only in the back). I run the Shinko 705's but I ride a lot of street and only occasionally make bad sand decisions. And with the 705's, ANY sand is a bad decision.

Those are 50/50 tires only in some marketing directors dream. 70% on road 30% off road at best. And the off road better be hard pack.
