    Great review! Love the music choices, camera angles, and attention to detail. I was thinking of getting a used RX350 but now I'm leaning towards getting something newer. It's too bad Lexus waited so long to update their vehicles with tech. I like the NX350 Hybrid because it's a good size, great fuel economy, updated infotainment system and safety features.

      This is exactly what I have heard. Plus the Lexus does not look “spacious” at all. The rear seating looks crammed and 5’8” with 3” more room would not make a larger human passenger feel comfortable, imo. I love the tech here Athens safety features, but am going to test drive the Corsair. It’s between the Corsair & the Cadillac xt5 or xt4, possibly the volvo. Thx for your comment. The smooth ride is everything to me, tho the quiet cabin is appealing.

    Liked the video since it is thorough and covered a lot of things. However, perhaps tune the narrative to be more of a review with both praises and criticisms and less like a commercial for the car. For example, the rear door opening is adequate but it certainly isn't nice and wide like say a Honda CR-V. So the use of car seats could require more effort. Also, the use of run flat tires do add to road noise on the highway making the cabin noisier than cars without run flats.

      Just very predictive driving, and not excessive speeding. When the engine is cold the fuel economy is horrible, warmer weather does a lot. I just tried staying in EV mode as long as possible, and coast a lot. Once u break in your motor tho it should be a little better as well.

    • @MegawattKS
      @MegawattKS 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      From a physics point of view, I suspect that keeping interstate speeds down (65 mph if possible), and being gentle on the braking should help a lot. Wind resistance and resulting energy losses increase dramatically with speed on any car. And strong braking causes more use of the friction brake pads that should not come into play normally in a hybrid. Hybrids get their awesome mileage around town due to "regenerative braking" where 80 or 90% of the kinetic energy of the moving car is put back into the battery during the stop. But if braking is too hard, the friction brakes have to take over and most of that energy is lost as heat, like in a non-hybrid vehicle.

    I received a 2023 NX as a loaner when I took my 2021 RX 350 in for it’s 30k service. The NX is nice and I loved every thing about it except the 4 cylinder engine. The cabin is quiet until you accelerate. I think the coarse sound and feel of the 4 cylinder is difficult to look past. Since this same engine is in the new RX, I will refrain from buying the new RX (although I think the new RX and NX look great). When I arrived back at the dealership and got back in my 2021 RX with it’s buttery smooth and quiet 6 cylinder, I was reminded of just how much I love my 2021 RX 350 Luxury. So while I would love to have all the new tech in the new RX/NX, the coarse feel and sound of the 4 cylinder is not an acceptable trade-off.

    Nice review! The NX or RX have always been good cars, but the only problems with them is that you can get more for your money with other brands…Acura RDX, the upcoming Mazda Cx-70 & 90, etc. For years, the Toyota group has sold cars mainly based on their reputation of being reliable. But many other brands are also reliable, so I wonder how long the Toyota group can continue to bank on their reputation before their core consumers finally start to cross-shop and realize there’s a whole world of good cars out there lol.

    • @Sleepygarage
      @Sleepygarage  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yeah good points, the reliability is unquestionable and they’ll continue to sell because of that. It is a little pricey but a lot of consumers just want that peace of mind knowing it won’t break down on them for decades.

    Just as a reference my 2005 RX 300 gets 18mpg in the city 28-30 on the freeway probably around 21 combined, so that's a 3 litre V6, my car weighs about 1.780KG 1.7 metric tonnes, 3,925 lbs I drive with a sense of urgency but not super fast, 70-80 on the freeway and around most speed limits in the city, seems like we didn't come that far in 18 years?
