I bought the 2022 NX350H. This is my fourth Lexus previous was 2019 NX30O 2015 NX 200 and first was the 2012 RX350?

I got my 350h Premium last Friday. I had originally ordered the 450h+ but switched to the 350h because I don't have access to a charging station. The 450h+ being heavier due to the bigger battery makes the 350h more fuel efficient if you don't charge your car.

I have a 2019 RX 350 lexus. My wife bought a 2024 NX450h+. it is a great vehicle which has TOYOTA RELIABILITY! That was the deciding factor in buying the Lexus. Who want to buy problems? I wish I was a car expert, so I could describe the excellency of the 450. We installed a level 2 charger in our garage, we have no anxiety because if we need gas, its plentiful and we don't have to worry about a Middle East embargo. While I think the NX is a big improvement from the previous generation, the interior materials and quality is a step back. At this price point, I expect some form of leather stitching on the dash, more use of wood or metal trim and more colour options. Would gladly trade the oversized screen for the above, something 10" is plenty big enough without looking cheap. The run flat tires are a bad idea because run flats are noisier and much rougher as far as ride goes. The NX calls the interior black but it’s grey. Black would be much better with all paint colors. The NX has rear doors that flow directly into the rear wheel wells. Thus makes for a vertical crack in the painted wheel well trim at the door instead of 1 continuous piece with no crack if there was a frame and trim directly below the rear doors. Salt spray in winter and summer rain allows for the door edges more exposure to potential moisture with the short fall design from Lexus. No spare tire and jack or even no place to put a spare tire.

I got a question, i had a test drive for Venza and looks like the hybrid one can only use pure electricity under 40 MPH, and when drive on the highway or more than 40MPH it can only use gas, is this same as NX hybrid? for plug-in hybrid can I see it as whenever i want to use electricity (no matter how fast I drive ) I can use EV mode (wont consume gas ), but whenever i want to use gas I can change to gas mode? or the plug-in hybrid just increases the 40 MPH threshold a little bit to something like 60 or 70 MPH? I am trying to understand the true difference between them

i've got 450h+. it goes max 84mph speed 37mile range on ev only mode(motor only), engine automatically engages if i go faster than that. i can choose from ev only mode to hybrid mode to charging mode. all other hybrids go slower/less range than the plug in hybrid model due to smaller battery.

After doing market research and watching your video that by the way is excellent; my wife and I went to take a look at the Lexus 350h with the luxury package that was already pre-sold. Since we have never seen one from up close, before making a decision for her next vehicle we drove 2 1/2 hours just to take a look. Nevertheless , we were very impressed at the upgrades that this vehicle have for 2022. My local Lexus dealership wanted for the same vehicle MSRP plus 15% and sales lady told me that this week it could change, but to go higher and not lower. We consulted with each other and decided to to order one at this dealership, which would not price their vehicles above MSRP. We were also considering a Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited Platinum and the Acura MDX. We have a Lexus 250h 2010 premium and has over 204,000 miles and still going strong. We may sell it or use it as a long distance driving car until it dies.
Again, thanks for the awesome video comparison. I own a Toyota Tacoma 2021 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock color and when I saw the NX 350h I thought about trading my Tacoma. That is how much we liked it. I am currently thinking about the 2023 Lexus RX 450h for my Tacoma as I no longer will need to haul stuff for our home. Will see. If you review the hybrid RX I would, greatly appreciate a link to it. I talked to one of the Lexus Mechanics and he said the only issues would be loss of performance and possibly losing power in turbos much sooner and earlier engine issues. If you own a 350h or a 450h+ why wouldn't you want to extend the years of your vehicles performance. If you are buying a 60-90k hybrid or Plug in hybrid vehicle Canadian of course why would 200-400 $ more a year be an issue? cheap man always pays more may come into effect in 5-10 yrs of ownership.

My 2023 was ready at delivery. But on test run i found few issues. :(
    1. Some click/squeaking noise appears to the right of driver, especially on snowy/patchy roads. This doesn't happen on clear (well laid) roads.
    2. The driver side mirror vibrates and the rear view (especially far away from vehicle) is bit hazy. I'm not sure if its mirror or something else.
    3. On the boot, panel gap to the left is more than that right. It's not visible, and there is no issue opening/closing, just that it shouldn't cause any leaks in future.
Has anyone had these issues in their NX350h? These aside the vehicle drives too good.

This is Michael. Thank you for the excellent review and comparison. Currently we have a Tesla Model S that we're getting rid of.
The plug-in hybrid is the car of the future for at least the next 15 years. Why? Because of the lack of charging stations especially ones that work, because the rare earth minerals are in too short of Supply that make the lithium batteries, and because the electrical power grid is not strong enough to support millions of electric cars. The state of California is already having brownouts because their stupid government is pushing EVS too hard. We're not ready for all EVS and won't be for a long time.
The sticker for the nx450h + sold in the US has an EPA rating of 84 miles per gallon. You get efficiency, quick starts, and you don't have to worry about running out of battery power. Regular hybrids are too slow. The plug-in hybrids could take over the full electric car. The problem is there are not enough being made.

I have a 450 on order, put my deposit down.
If you're trying to save money on gas, do not buy the plug in.
You'll need to own it for YEARS before you even break even.
But instead, if you're someone like me who values versatility over money then get it.
With normal phev, the electric range is laughably short. Whereas with the nx and rav4 prime, the ev only range is ACTUALLY usable. Which means if the primary capacity of the car is for commutes in your city, you will virtually liberate yourself from the gas pump. Meaning, no need to take a detour home just to fill up, or drive out of your way just to go fill up, etc.
You could just charge right from your home and essentially you have a little ev in your garage. You MIGHT be filling up two to three times per year in this case.
On the other hand, even if you were using the car to go on longer trips, you will never have to worry about range anxiety associated with a full ev. Or look for and stop by a charging station and wait 40 minutes for a full charge.
With a phev like the nx 450h+, you get the versatility of both worlds.
THIS is the reason to buy it. Not the money.

You should not never choose a car because of the brand.
The car and its model must be earned in order to be bought.
Lexus is no heaven or makes you feel blissful.
It does not automatically mean that it is the best possible choice.
    Not even every time.
The comparison is always worth it.
In the series where the Lexus nx is,
    it has a Volvo xc40, Toyota rav4,
    BMW x1,
which are safer than the nx.
Neck injuries occur with a 46% probability on a Lexus nx ride in a 50km/h (35mph) crash test where a dummy ( doll ) was used.
    Here is results :
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does 35 MPH front crash tests on vehicles.
    Neck Injury Risk :
Lexus nx driver 46% passenger 42%.
    Audi a3 driver 45% passenger 34%.
Lexus is driver 35% passenger 41%.
    Toyota rav4 driver 29% passenger 37%.
    BMW x1 driver 32% passenger 31%.
Lexus es driver 24% passenger 33%.
    Volvo s60 driver 26% passenger 30%.
    Audi a4 driver 26% passenger 25%.
Toyota camry driver 20% passenger 21%.
    Lexus nx vs rx.
    Lexus nx is cheaper.
The Rx has a larger interior.
In a crash test using a dummy (doll),
    rx is safer than nx.
The Lexus rx competes in a different series for the price range.
    It includes, for example,
    the Toyota Highlander,
    the BMW x4
and rx are not among the top three.
Lexus rx and Lexus es are propably the best and most reliable car models of the brand
The value of a new Lexus nx car will fall by 45% in five years,
    new Lexus rx car 41%,
    Lexus ES 350 38%,
    Toyota Camry 49%.
Lexus rx better level of reliability
    unlike Lexus nx
    ( source : J.D. Power web pages ).
If have to buy suv car
    probaply it would be
    Toyota Highlander
I choose the sedan car model myself.
Toyota Camry is at least safe,
car crush test 5 star in every segment ( unlike suv -> 4 star ),
although not the best in all areas,
cheaper ( than most suv ),
better reliability ( than most suv ),
better fuel economy ( than most suv ),
+ all wheel drive if you want.
    Thank you

Premium gas requirement is Lexus bullshit so you can get 10 extra BHP and a tiny bit better fuel economy , car will run fine on regular gas as all cars have knock sensors, advanced valve and ignition timing to adjust to any gas, load and ranges of temperature.

I talked to one of the Lexus mechanics and he said the only issues would be loss of performance and possibly losing power in turbos much sooner and earlier engine issues. If you own a 350h or a 450h+ why wouldn't you want to extend the years of your vehicles performance. If you are buying a 60-90k hybrid or Plug in hybrid vehicle Canadian of course why would 200-400 $ more a year be an issue? cheap man always pays more may come into effect in 5-10 yrs of ownership.

listen bozo..there are no turbos in a 350h or 450h

No way Im buying Premium gas. Nor will I buy a Lexus because of this. They seriously need to take a look at their marketing and put an engine that does not require Premium gas.
