I think ,that dislike for buttons on the steering wheel is actually a like ,because while driving even if you touch it for once ,nothing will happen. In mercedes this is sometimes frustrating, because , you touch it and something is changing. Designers of lexus put it for a reason ,logical idea,so for me this is a like. 😎😀

It's a great vehicle for small families that don't need a larger SUV (RX350h or RX500h) or a three row SUV (Highlander). It's efficient and luxurious for the highest trim. I tried to obtain one starting in December and seven Lexus dealers in Texas said to forget it, they could not obtain one for months. I also tried to obtain an RX350h and they said 9 to 12 months plus pay a $2,000 deposit just to get on a list and no guarantee about obtaining the trim and colors/options that I wanted. I dropped the whole thing in April.
PS-I was able to obtain (April) a 2023 Lexus ES300h, Ultra Luxury Trim plus additional options and dealer add-ons because the person that wanted it dropped out. We drove 300 miles to review her and decided to buy. Love the vehicle, it has 25 less h.p. than the NX350h; however I'm averaging over 41+ MPG in the City. 🤔

My wife likes the RX350H more, but I don’t want to write a $64k check. Wrote a $52k check instead on a 2024 NX350H in April. We don’t need the RX size anymore as my kids are driving age now and my 2017 ES350 is more comfy on longer trips.

Run flat tires are awful in so many ways. They ride really rough like a brick, make a lot of noise even on the smoothest roads, don't last very long (under 20,000 miles), and cost much more than regular tires to replace. As soon as I got mine I switched to regular Michelins. I think the government's unrealistic CAFE requirements imposed on manufacturers are the reason.

Lexus says premium fuel is required. I own one. It states it very clearlhy in the owners manual and inside the fuel compartment. This is a high performance premium engine with a high compression ratio. There is no doubt that continuous use of 87 octane regular fuel would cause serious damage in the long run. Why would you spend around $50,000 + and then cheap out on the fuel? That doesn't make any sense.

I have a 2022 so maybe they’ve updated the software but I bet not. I hate how the door locks work on my car. SO many ways in which the door locks work are unsafe. Problem 1: You can’t lock the doors unless all 4 are closed. Problem 2: When you open the hatch all 4 doors unlock automatically and you can’t lock them even if you try. There is a dealer programmable option that can change this but ONLY if you use the key to open the hatch. If you open the hatch handsfree, all 4 doors will unlock and there’s nothing you can do to lock them while the hatch is open. Problem 3: you can’t open the hatch if the engine is running so no putting the kiddo in the air conditioning while you load up the groceries. Problem 4: The default setting is to unlock all 4 doors when the car is put in park. Luckily this is a setting that the owner can modify but I bet most owners don’t even know this is happening since there is Problem 5: no audible feedback indicating that the doors locked or unlocked. I’ve only had my car a few weeks so who knows how many other unsafe scenarios there are with the inability to lock the doors on demand.

    • @LuvMyCardiKids

@@eriksossa5297 what I will say is that I wouldn’t have bought this car if I’d had any idea that I wouldn’t be in control of when the doors are locked and when they aren’t. It’s that important to me. I’ve had a gun pulled on me before and my daughter was stabbed in an attempted car jacking. It’s crucial to me to know when my doors are locked and that there aren’t situations where I can’t lock the doors.

I have been told: if you use a quality gas like Exxon, you can get away with lower octane esp if highway driving; however, if using cheap gas like Wawa, use the higher octane. This has worked with my Honda, Acura, and my older Lexus. For my new hybrid, I am using the higher octane--because I don't have to fill up as much.

Still not sure why car manufacturers are not adding magsafe car chargers near the screen areas. Nobody I know actually uses the wireless charging that's built-in when it is located at the cupholder area. They always end up getting the accessories where you get a magnetic mount so you can see your phone while driving whether they have carplay/android auto or not. These accessories have been around so long, it is common sense to just have that integrated nicely into the car.

    • @wyw201
