    Great series, lots of great information here. I am at the end of my kit build and wondering if there is something better to use on the tops of the king aluminum shock caps other than those larger cheesy rod end balls.

    I'd put some blue methods with klrs and CI foams! Dream setup lol.

      +The RC Expeditions methods don't fit in the budget easily.

    If I am going to go hiking with my car and maybe do a little bit of crawling do I need to focus more on speed or torque when I buy a new servo

    What size are the stock shocks that come with the bomber

    I'm about to rebuild my leaky (less than 2 month old) RR10 shocks. I noticed you use a spray bottle with some sort of cleaner. What did you use to clean the parts?

    What do you think about them going with a set screw style capturing the upper shocks? And lower links at the chassis side of things?

      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Gaelan Garrett the upper shock side is a pain in the butt. The lower link side works well though and I like the use there.

    I’m so confused. The heavier the oil wt the better dampening yet you went lower in the rear? What am I misunderstanding here?

    Great video! Thanks! Looking more and more like I'll be moving my Currie F9s and Method hubs over to a Bomber kit. Are any of the Wraith titanium links reusable on a Bomber chassis?

    • @thatsportsman570dude5
      @thatsportsman570dude5 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The fronts and the rear uppers should be, but the bomber uses trailing arms.

    • @tomkirbygreen
      @tomkirbygreen 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The RC Expeditions Yeah, the trailing arms thing is a given for sure. Can anyone confirm the other six links would work on a Bomber? What about the steering link and drag rod? I have VP titanium Wraith links (inc steering) that I would love to up-cycle onto a Bomber.

      +Tom Kirby-Green all the front links are reuse able. Then sell the other set of links to someone else with a bomber and you can buy the rear links you need :-)

      +Harley Designs OK. I'm sold, looks like I can bring my VP Currie F9s, bead lock hubs and the majority of my links over. Ordering Bomber kit now. It's not readily available in the UK yet - so there's a ~2 week wait.

    Where was the shock shaft when tightening the cap, also should it be overflowing?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TubeSurfer the shock shaft was almost fully compressed and the oil at that point was at the brim.

    How many of the ALU spring retainers are needed? do they come as one set of 4, or a pair, or single? They seem pretty affordable...

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dave Rennie you need 2 packs.

    What is the part number (or link) for the King aluminum spring retainers?

    Does anyone know where to get aluminum flanged balls for the shock cap on these King Shocks?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the Vanquish Brass balls and chuck them up in my drill. I use a file to turn them down to the proper diameter. Then use some emery cloth to polish them.

    Hay just want to say thanks for the videos they have been a big help I would like to know if 90 mm king shocks will be ok for my axial rr10 bomber and if so on what side should I mount them on? Yet again thanks for the videos

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jose Gandarilla 90mm shocks would not be appropriate. Also, RC4WD King shocks are not a good choice of shocks. They are for looks only, not performance.

    Bomber shocks the same as yeti fronts?

    • @thatsportsman570dude5
      @thatsportsman570dude5 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Yeti fronts are way shorter.

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Gaelan Garrett I don't recall the lengths, I'd have to confirm with the manual.
