Hi-Hi! :") 2007 is one of my favorite Esc years. I recently watched it with my family and really liked the atmosphere of that year. So many great songs that it will be very difficult to get into the top-10. My favorites are "Water", "Visionary dream", "Leave me alone", "Molitva" and "Work your magic". 2007 was probably one of my favourite Eurovision years ever. So many iconic entries, so many great ones. Sure, there were a few weak ones, but it doesn't change the fact that I really love this year! Still slaps. 9/10) 12: Czechia (Comment: May I be the only one with this song this high? Maybe. But I really like it! The vocals are, ehhh, but I normally don't give a f**k about vocals unless they're really bad.. 7/10) 11: Germany (Comment: Love jazz like songs, I love relaxed songs, I love *this* song. Rip Roger :(. 10/10 ) 10: Lithuania (Comments: another relaxed song, love it! Love Lithuania 10/10) 9: Croatia (Comment: Again with a relaxing song! Masterpiece, though some parts are a little messy. 7.5/10) 8: Romania (Comment: It's super cute! I like the idea alot! It also has a nice beat and some-what good vocals. 8/10) 7: France (Comment: Funny yet charming! I don't know what this band is on but it's definitely amazing! Can't believe they're still around..... 7.5/10) 6: Sweden (Comments: Thanks for not underrating this! Literally the only Swedish song this millennium I care to listen to. Also my favorite performance in the history of the contest. 9/10) 5: Turkey (Comment: Bop. Just a bop. Literally the only thing this song is. But it's definitely a bop, I'll give them that. 7/10) 4: Russia (Comment: Perfect energy! It deserved the high place it got in Helsinki! Love it. 8/10 3: Hungary (Comment: That raspy voice! Love it! Also the melody of the song is just 👌. Love jazz songs. 10/10) 2: Andorra (Comment: Oh sweet Andorra, why must you be so underrated? I've always loved Andorra, only time I've truly hated them was in 2008. 6.5/10) 1: Serbia (Comment: I don't trust anyone who's winner is not Molitva [Except for passe partout]. Beautiful ballad, what more can I say? 10/10) (The 0/0 isn't based off of how much I like the song, it's based off of the music quality)
Yes, such a good year!!! I see the difference between judging songs as objectively as you can and by how much you love them, I tend to stick to the latter because it makes things spicier and means my comments come from a place of love :) I have marginal trust for Sopho stans and a few others, but you're right, Marija really is The One
Here are my personal votes/rankings, i'am from the Netherlands 12 points: Serbia - Marija Serifovic - Molitva 10 points: Spain - D'NASH - I love you mi vida 8 points: Finland - Hanna Pakarinen - Leave me alone 7 points: Armenia - Hayko - Anytime you need 6 points: Moldova - Natalia Barbu - Fight 5 points: Belarus - Dmitry Koldun - Work your magic 4 points: United Kingdom - Scooch - Flying the flag (for you) 3 points: Romania - Todomondo - Liubi, liubi, i love you 2 points: Germany - Roger Cicero - Frauen regier'n die Welt 1 point : Lithuania - 4Fun - Love or leave
I've gave my personal votes/points to the ESF eurovision songs performed in the Grand Final Show. In my opinion: Estonia - Gerli Padar - Partners in crime > deserved a place in the Grand Final Show.
There is a rumor that Roger Cicero won the voting of the Backup Jury in the 50/50 system 🇩🇪 would have made the 6th place overall... Maybe the reason why two years later the professional Jury was reinstalled
I have now gone through the whole contest, and this year was what I would call mediocre. Not many really good songs, not many really bad songs, either. Mostly songs that were not bad, not good. Quite a boring year to be frank. Here are my quite superficial scores. Superficial, because i don't spend much time splitting hair between a 5/10 and a 4/10. And I have gone through all the songs only once. Many of them I can't remember from that year. 42. A disgrace. A "We don't give a f**k about this competition". A pattern from this country. 2/10 41. Not good, 3/10 40. A totally in the middle of the road song, strangely. 5/10. It might be a 4/10, but I don't care. Far from the only 5-er this year. 39. Another 5/10. The song isn't awful, but it doesn't represent this country, which i think is the worst thing about it. 38. Trying to be tolerant about the quality, here. 5/10 is a kind score. Closer to a 4 than a 6. 37. 5/10... again 36. At least not a snooze fest. 7/10 may be a bit kind, though. 35. A honest rock tune. I like the vibe and the vocals. Again, a 8/10 is probably very kind in most years, but I wanted to give some 8's 34. In the middle of the road, 5/10 33. As 34 32. The same again, let's move on. 31. Could have been better, bUt HeR VoIcE was so unstable. 4/10 30. 5/10 29. Quite interesting, but not my cup of tea. 5/10 28. Quite boring and unorigional disco, 4/10 27. This is one of my favourite countries, but this song is quite mainstream and boarderline boring. 5/10 26. Super generic. 4/10 25. This was one of the few songs that cought my interest. Not super, but for now a 7/10. I might be a bit too kind on it, though. 24. Didn't get this one. 4/10 23. I don't remember what made me give this a 4/10... 22. Very generic, but still a 5/10 21. Funky song. I like this one. With a better vocalist, I would score it higher. 7/10 20. In the earlier years, this country was so increadibly underrated. Then when they went main stream disco, they got good results and were overrated. 4/10 19. I don't remeber my excact thoughts here, but I gave them a 4/10. I may have been too hasty and harsh on them... 18. Again in the middle of the road to me. 5/10 17. A slightly positive experience, 6/10 16. Very standard rock, 5/10 15. This was not so bad. I liked it more than many others this year, but not in the top, 6/10 14. I like the direction they are going, but it is a too much "heard it before" song. 5/10 13. I can understan why this is popular, but but to me it is just... not. 4/10 12. I totally vibe with this one, 7/10 11. This is up my alley. Far from as good as in 2006, but still a decent 7/10. It have potential to grow into an 8. 10. I gave this one a 5/10. That must have been a mistake. Out of the snipit here, this is a very interesting jazzy tune. Must have another listen! 9. I could just copy-paste your comment, here. 8/10 8. This is very unorigional to me. I gave it a 3/10. That could have been a reaction to it being way too high on the result list imo. 7. A bit the same as 8. But a much better song in sum. I gave it a 6/10 6. It started out a bit dull, but then it just took off. A very strong 7/10. 5. All the power to you, but it didn't push any buttons in me. It may need another spin. 5/10 4. A bluesy song, but imo a very standard and generic one. I may be wrong... 4/10 3. In the middle of the road for me. Not bad, not very good. Too much "heard it before" 5/10 2. A country that mostly is underrated, but I love them almost every year. I totally agree with you. 8/10 1. I haven't got the vibe and hype on this one. A strong song, but not entirely my cup of tea. Still a 7/10.
Molitva is epic and great and one of the best winners, but I only have it at 4th place, because this year there were 3 songs that I consider are TOP quality. I'll try to describe how I feel about them: Starting with Water (Bulgaria) - I've got to love an experimental anthem from such an underdog country (at the time). I find it so incredible how they opened a massive semi-final and they were such a good opener that they managed to qualify even though 26 songs were performed after. The thing I like the most about it is that it's kind of abstract, it doesn't have the usual popular song structure, it doesn't have a climax, the climax is the whole song, and once it starts, I get hypnotized until it ends. Then I have Unsubstantial Blues (Hungary) - I cried with this song, I get so sentimental. Magdi is such a talented artist, to think that she wrote this entry alone and she delivered the performance the WAY she did, oh my god, it's so admirable. I can tell that she put this soul on this song and everything about it is honest and personal. And finally, Visionary Dream (Georgia). To put it shortly, this entry is basically everything I love about Eurovision. It's ethnic and it has a Georgian feeling, but it's also modern and a total banger without sounding like cheap ethnopop, and it's even kind of experimental. Sopho is a very charming performer and she delivered professionally, and the dancers and staging add a lot to the feeling. It's epic, intense, explosive, interesting, fun, beautiful. My top 10: #10 Valentine lost (Iceland) #9 Song #1 (Russia) #8 Salvém el món (Andorra) #7 Cvet z juga (Slovenia) #6 Malá dáma (Czech Republic) #5 Love or leave (Lithuania) #4 Molitva (Serbia) #3 Water (Bulgaria) #2 Unsubstantial blues (Hungary) #1 Visionary dream (Georgia)

I never saw the Princess Diana likeness in Koldun. Now I can't unsee it
RIGHT??? They have the same face, no wonder he's so beloved.

Georgia underrated indeed! Best entry of Georgia AND the year for me!
I'm a little torn between this and 2015 for fav Georgian entry but I think this one edges out a little now!
The year my country hosted it :)
(In fact I live near the arena)
It was a good show!! Finland were excellent underdog winners :)
eurovision gal well Lordi still turned to be quite attracting and popular winner.

Ah yes, one of the cringiest years for my country (UK)
But also a year with some of my favourites ever; 2007 was a hidden gem for me
Oh yes. Georgia is criminally underrated here. Although the year is really strong, it's my third.
I thought our Norwegian entry was rubbish, this year. But then I understood that rubbish was the slogan of the year.
Wait, How Dose Scooch give you childhood Tramma? Its a campy song and yes sexual innuendo are their, and they got 12 points.
And yeah Cindi shouldve won it
My favorite year, so thanks for doing a video on 2007 :)
Top 15:
15: Netherlands (Comments: Slaps, I would've liked to see her in Rotterdam this year but we gotta wait for next year :(. Undeserved Non Qualifier. 8/10)
14: Norway (Comment: Weird entry, but yet charming. I can't not dance while this one is on! 8/10)
13: Finland (Comment: Used to be top 3 for me, not anymore. Still slaps. 9/10)
12: Czechia (Comment: May I be the only one with this song this high? Maybe. But I really like it! The vocals are, ehhh, but I normally don't give a f**k about vocals unless they're really bad.. 7/10)
11: Germany (Comment: Love jazz like songs, I love relaxed songs, I love *this* song. Rip Roger :(. 10/10 )
10: Lithuania (Comments: another relaxed song, love it! Love Lithuania 10/10)
9: Croatia (Comment: Again with a relaxing song! Masterpiece, though some parts are a little messy. 7.5/10)
8: Romania (Comment: It's super cute! I like the idea alot! It also has a nice beat and some-what good vocals. 8/10)
7: France (Comment: Funny yet charming! I don't know what this band is on but it's definitely amazing! Can't believe they're still around..... 7.5/10)
6: Sweden (Comments: Thanks for not underrating this! Literally the only Swedish song this millennium I care to listen to. Also my favorite performance in the history of the contest. 9/10)
5: Turkey (Comment: Bop. Just a bop. Literally the only thing this song is. But it's definitely a bop, I'll give them that. 7/10)
4: Russia (Comment: Perfect energy! It deserved the high place it got in Helsinki! Love it. 8/10
3: Hungary (Comment: That raspy voice! Love it! Also the melody of the song is just 👌. Love jazz songs. 10/10)
2: Andorra (Comment: Oh sweet Andorra, why must you be so underrated? I've always loved Andorra, only time I've truly hated them was in 2008. 6.5/10)
1: Serbia (Comment: I don't trust anyone who's winner is not Molitva [Except for passe partout]. Beautiful ballad, what more can I say? 10/10)
(The 0/0 isn't based off of how much I like the song, it's based off of the music quality)
"i don't trust anyone who's winner is not molitva [except for passe partout]"
the appreciation omg
Yes, such a good year!!! I see the difference between judging songs as objectively as you can and by how much you love them, I tend to stick to the latter because it makes things spicier and means my comments come from a place of love :)
I have marginal trust for Sopho stans and a few others, but you're right, Marija really is The One
Shit I'm a hypocrite, Andorra is my winner now
@@DentalFlan so you don't trust yourself? mood
@@zondergezicht I'ma keep my word, so I officially trust you more than myself (that's sounds very *simpish* sorry)
You're ranking from your previous video or something? I don't understand the minus or plus lol
I personally hate The Worrying Kind but respect your opinion
my favorite entry in eurovision ever is bulgaria 2007. by far my favorite ever u have no idea how much i love it
VERY VALID take
Let's fly the flag together😂😂😂😂
Tgis was a real Slav Year!

3 points: Romania - Todomondo - Liubi, liubi, i love you
2 points: Germany - Roger Cicero - Frauen regier'n die Welt
1 point : Lithuania - 4Fun - Love or leave
I've gave my personal votes/points to the ESF eurovision songs performed in the Grand Final Show. In my opinion: Estonia - Gerli Padar - Partners in crime > deserved a place in the Grand Final Show.
Georgia is my winner that year - such a good debut. However Switzerland is also one of my guilty pleasures
Maybe one of the best debuts!! And yes omg, I can't get enough of the Swiss entry.
early ✨✨
Nah we Stan flying the flag!! Love entries like that lol
Cindi shouldve been in Uk
Georgia is underrated? So you want to say the Georgia's performance was better , than Belarus, Moldova,Finland,Bosnia,Iceland,Spain,Macedonia...????
yeah!
1.Serbia
2.Bulgaria
3.Belarus
4.Finland
5.Georgia
Georgia in the top 3 where it BELONGS
There is a rumor that Roger Cicero won the voting of the Backup Jury in the 50/50 system 🇩🇪 would have made the 6th place overall...
Maybe the reason why two years later the professional Jury was reinstalled
I can only think of 1 thing right now.......
QUEEN VERKAAAAAAAAAA
Thanks for 1st😉
Only real option tbh 😊👏
@@eurovisiongal7007 My second is Fight and I love it so much, but Molitva is just perfect.
@@thescarf13 same feelings for me about sopho tbh, I love her with all my heart but love marija more :) fight is amazing though!!!! so fierce!!
41. Not good, 3/10
37. 5/10... again
36. At least not a snooze fest. 7/10 may be a bit kind, though.
35. A honest rock tune. I like the vibe and the vocals. Again, a 8/10 is probably very kind in most years, but I wanted to give some 8's
34. In the middle of the road, 5/10
33. As 34
32. The same again, let's move on.
31. Could have been better, bUt HeR VoIcE was so unstable. 4/10
30. 5/10
29. Quite interesting, but not my cup of tea. 5/10
28. Quite boring and unorigional disco, 4/10
27. This is one of my favourite countries, but this song is quite mainstream and boarderline boring. 5/10
26. Super generic. 4/10
25. This was one of the few songs that cought my interest. Not super, but for now a 7/10. I might be a bit too kind on it, though.
24. Didn't get this one. 4/10
23. I don't remember what made me give this a 4/10...
22. Very generic, but still a 5/10
21. Funky song. I like this one. With a better vocalist, I would score it higher. 7/10
20. In the earlier years, this country was so increadibly underrated. Then when they went main stream disco, they got good results and were overrated. 4/10
19. I don't remeber my excact thoughts here, but I gave them a 4/10. I may have been too hasty and harsh on them...
18. Again in the middle of the road to me. 5/10
17. A slightly positive experience, 6/10
16. Very standard rock, 5/10
15. This was not so bad. I liked it more than many others this year, but not in the top, 6/10
14. I like the direction they are going, but it is a too much "heard it before" song. 5/10
13. I can understan why this is popular, but but to me it is just... not. 4/10
12. I totally vibe with this one, 7/10
8. This is very unorigional to me. I gave it a 3/10. That could have been a reaction to it being way too high on the result list imo.
7. A bit the same as 8. But a much better song in sum. I gave it a 6/10
6. It started out a bit dull, but then it just took off. A very strong 7/10.
5. All the power to you, but it didn't push any buttons in me. It may need another spin. 5/10
4. A bluesy song, but imo a very standard and generic one. I may be wrong... 4/10
3. In the middle of the road for me. Not bad, not very good. Too much "heard it before" 5/10
2. A country that mostly is underrated, but I love them almost every year. I totally agree with you. 8/10
1. I haven't got the vibe and hype on this one. A strong song, but not entirely my cup of tea. Still a 7/10.
One of the worst years for me to be fair, Molitva has to be the most clear winner in the history of eurovision
I take this back
Molitva is epic and great and one of the best winners, but I only have it at 4th place, because this year there were 3 songs that I consider are TOP quality. I'll try to describe how I feel about them:
Starting with Water (Bulgaria) - I've got to love an experimental anthem from such an underdog country (at the time).
My top 10:
#10 Valentine lost (Iceland)
#9 Song #1 (Russia)
#8 Salvém el món (Andorra)
#7 Cvet z juga (Slovenia)
#6 Malá dáma (Czech Republic)
#5 Love or leave (Lithuania)
#4 Molitva (Serbia)
#3 Water (Bulgaria)
#2 Unsubstantial blues (Hungary)
#1 Visionary dream (Georgia)
Hello, thanks for your super interesting thoughts!! I love the appreciation Sopho gets in hindsight, her song is so experimental and crazy but also completely amazing ❤️ I think Elitsa and Stoyan and Magdi have that in common too, they're just doing their own thing and it works so well.
@@eurovisiongal7007 hi, thank you!! I think that's what I appreciate the most, when artists do their own thing and they do it well.
Oh and btw, I loved seeing all these three AND Lithuania in your top 10
