I never noticed the Austrian entry was your pfp, I'm so blind! I appreciate your enthusiasm for the Ukrainian entry, I think it's really cool and entries with some context or message often speak to me in some way, I think it's a shame it makes many appearances in bottom ten of people's tops. Even as a lover of No Name, I have to say Lane Moje is still the better song for me :) That makes Serbia & Montenegro technically my favourite ESC country given I'm now bound to rank it 1st or 2nd but that's not quite fair because they only have two songs! 😂 Also omg, I see you're a Javine fan, she's arguably the most well known UK entrant from the 2000s because she already had a few hit songs. She was involved in a pretty iconic beef... She ran off with the husband of another well known British singer, Alesha Dixon. Her friend, another even more recognisable singer, Jamelia, called her a, UM, degradatory term for a promiscuous woman when she got brought up on a panel show 💀 And the host asked her, how could you say that about our Eurovision entrant from last year? and Jamelia just says "well look where that got her 😌💅🏽" Poor gal, haha, the clips still exist and they're legendary. People usually say her career died because she dedicated all her time to the new guy.
@@eurovisiongal7007 Wow that was a lot of old tea being spilt in that last paragraph. I'd also like to mention that you put more work into those paragraphs than I do in my school essays so 👏

I checked the clips out the other day and there's still plenty of comments being made from as early as a few months ago... stale tea can still taste fresh, I guess!

The Dutch singer was in America's Got Talent in one season, she went quite far because she was in the semi-finals or even got to the final if I'm not wrong... :D The backup for Andorran singer was, if I remember correctly, the Spanish singer in 1995 XDDDDD And yeah, Czarna dziewczyna was just about 6 pts from qualifying but IMO it should've qualified (along with Slovenia and Netherlands aka the two biggest crimes among the NQs of 2005), it wasn't THAT bad as some of the songs that went in :/ one of the authors of Belarussian song was also an author for I didn't know XD one of the Latvian guys (but I forgot which one) died not so long ago because of some kind of cancer :( And really, there used to be in Estonia (and as I heard somewhere, in Lithuania it still can be found because the company still has the rights to brand it seems...but I dunno if my info was actual) an actual ice cream brand named Vanilla Ninja (vanilla taste...and yes, after the band), but I don't know if that was just for these big packages of ice cream one could eat with your family or friends (or alone when having a bad day and watching some kind of romcom or so) or also for small ice cream you could eat on your own, but more like ice lolly-type/sandwich-like with ice cream laying between either two wafers or two cakes/ice cream in a cone/ice cream put in a cup or sth similar but made of wafer :DDDDD I also enjoy the Serbian-Montenegrin song, I see why someone had an idea to shape Love Love Peace Peace at least partially like that song :D I have nothing against Let me try but I always laugh at that those "drums" behind Luminita looking like either trash cans or those cans where radioactive (or some other kind of "warning, dangerous") trash is put in XDDDDDD
You're always bringing the trivia :) I heard about the Dutch singer, sadly I don't love talent show style ballads so that's why I'm just okay with her song. I recently learned the meaning of the Polish song's lyrics and now... Uh, I don't know what to think. I knew about the Vanilla Ninja ice cream and referenced it in my comment :) you an find photos, they're little lolly things. I like Luminita's toxic waste drums, I think they create a nice edgy atmosphere back when staging wasn't as big a deal!
I think the Spanish song is written by the same person as Asereje and tbh I find it quite underrated, these girls kinda did it all and people didn't appreciate it (the rapper could've been avoided though) also Austrian entry is wholesome and based on that argument alone it's in my top 10
Really?? That's a surprise, I wasn't really sure what to make of it sounding quite similar. The Austrian entry IS wholesome, it feels like one of those entries that's randomly super pure and happy :)
wait I looked it up and apparently it's just the same producer but I'm not sure if it's trustworthy.. anyways forget it I love how everyone from the Austria song look like they're geniunely having lots of fun on stage haha
btw I have such an unpopular opinion, I don't like My Number One 😳 I get a feeling of "aight we bringing everything y'all want now give us the damn trophy" idk that's the best way I can describe it
@@ren4497 I had like a phase a while ago where I liked it a lot less but it grew right back on me 😂 it's definitely pure spectacle in the performance, that can be tryhard to some and just really exciting to others.
Well javine did stop Katie price which was an achievement. But she said in interview she was sick and that cost her the title, some say Her song try to rip off other latina or other songs

This is a decent year for Eurovision, quite like it! A lot of strong entries, though there's a fair share of weak ones as well. Here's my opinion! 39. Belarus Wow, the chorus is laughably bad. And the rest of the song doesn't help. 38. Russia Yup, this is not how you do a metal song. The chorus once again sucks, very poor quality. 37. Austria This never really caught me. There are a few parts of the song which I actually dislike. I don't know, this is definitely not for me. 36. Bosnia & Herzegovina The song is generic and the delivery is far from the best one. 35. Germany Okay, here's another laughably bad chorus, but this time I can actually get enjoyment from those laughs. 34. Belgium Bland, forgettable entry. And that's really it. 33. Portugal And speaking about forgettable, this one is by far the most forgettable entry in this year. I don't know why this is higher than other songs. I guess the melody was decent, too bad I already forgot about it. 32. Andorra I feel like this song could have been executed better, it's really missing something. 31. France Another one that I can easily forget. The chorus was quite nice, though. 30. United Kingdom Damn, this is too generic for me to put it any higher. 29. Monaco I have zero effect from this ballad. It's really not for me. 28. Estonia It's an interesting setup, and the chorus is okay, but it's nothing special. 27. Ireland Yup, the same can be said about this song. 26. Finland Decent ballad, too bad it's another one of those songs that don't stand out. 25. Ukraine I like the chorus, but the verses aren't for me. 24. Turkey I used to really dislike this, but it's growing on me now. Overall a decent ethnic song. 23. Albania Another okay entry, which could have been better. Something's missing... 22. Iceland Nice song, it has a good chorus, but I understand why it didn't qualify. 21. Greece Yup, I put this entry down here. I've never really seen anything special about it, especially the chorus, which is the weakest part of the song. But the verses are pretty good and the performance is entertaining, so it's okay. 20. Poland I like what they did here, good ethnic entry! 19. Spain I don't know why, but I enjoy this for some reason. 18. Malta Chiara has a great voice and she definitely raises the bar for this song. I have a feeling that it could have easily flopped with the wrong singer. 17. Israel Pretty good, the chorus flows really good together and it overall sounds nice. But I have to say, that I'm slowly losing interest about this song, it used to be higher. 16. Lithuania Sure it sounds cheap, but I really enjoy the instrumental and chorus of this song! To be honest, I have no idea how it ended up in last place, probably because of the bad starting position. 15. Norway Finally, a decent hard rock entry! Too bad it's kind of generic. 14. Switzerland Finally, a decent hard rock entry! Too bad it's kind of generic, but not as generic as Norway. 13. Serbia & Montenegro Love what they did here, the folk sound is great, the song is a bit too repetitive, but it's still good! 12. Croatia Another awesome entry from Croatia, man, 2004 - 2009 were their golden years! 11. Romania The staging is awesome, the vocals are great, and the song is catchy! Well deserved top 3 position! 10. Denmark Classic Danish entry, that's why we love them! They take the simple and turn it into something special! 9. Hungary I'm pretty sure your comment about Hungary works as well in here. 8. Sweden One of the rare times when Sweden was actually underrated. I really like the performance, the chorus works really great as well! 7. Cyprus The chorus is catchy, I like the rhythm, and the song is well performed! This is really a similar situation to Sweden, this one's underrated. 6. The Netherlands That voice is great! And the ballad is so triumphant, especially in the final chorus! This is another case of a potentially bad song saved and massively improved by a great singer! 5. Bulgaria Very classy, very interesting - it's a big yes from me. Wonderful instrumental, the mood and atmosphere of this song is fantastic! A very strong debut by a very strong country. 4. Slovenia This song should have definitely qualified. Omar does a far better job here than in the snore that was his 2017 entry. Also, the metal vibes are awesome! 3. North Macedonia What a fun, fantastic experience! Another well performed and wonderfully done song, which is catchy and hits all the right notes for me! Awesome, another underrated track! 2. Latvia This, ladies and gentlemen, is the best thing that we have ever sent to Eurovision. The ballad is beautiful, it spreads a nice message, and is greatly performed, despite the fact that Valters had a bad case of cold in the final. I really think that we deserved the top 5 result, I love what we sent. 1. Moldova But I love this stuff even more! It was about time when we actually saw a punk song enter Eurovision! And this one has amazing ethnic vibes to it! This entry is everything a good punk song should be! It has a lot of energy and the chorus is very catchy! What a way for Moldova to start Eurovision, and this was their best result for a long time for a reason! Truly amazing.
They sounded like the Moldovan Red Hot Chilli Peppers or something! It was a pretty epic debut. I think their 2011 entry is also re-growing on me again. It's kind of funny even if it's not nearly to the same standard.
@@eurovisiongal7007 Yup, Red Hot Chilli Peppers in their 80s phase did have a similar sound, I didn't even think about that. Another reason to love them!
I can't be bothered making a whole list like usual bcos I am so so tired but ill say one SPICY opinion: Romania should not have qualified and I had it 21st in the semi. The song is boring, the hook is the epitome of no effort, her outfit and hair make me want to puke, and the staging looks like the set of an extremely low-budget CSI rip-off. I said what I said

AND THE HOOK. I love it, really memorable. I think I've seen it in people's NQs maaaaybe once or twice.

I wish I would have done my ESC 2005 top 39 already because I said I don't want to watch the tops before I do them so I won't let others opinions affect me... But I'll watch it in a few days
And yes, i am very easily affected by other people's opinions
Oh dear, don't let me influence you in that case 😂 you can tell me what you think later!

Great choice for a winner.
I like "Razom nas bahato", it's really underrated.
Also omg, I see you're a Javine fan, she's arguably the most well known UK entrant from the 2000s because she already had a few hit songs.
I'd also like to mention that you put more work into those paragraphs than I do in my school essays so 👏
@@DentalFlan Fun story, I'm actually a literature student when I'm not aggressively watching ESC. A lot of people ask how and why I write such detailed responses to everyone's comments, the answer is just that putting my thoughts into words comes quite naturally to me so I can do it in no time at all. :) Now if only they'd let me write my dissertation about Eurovision....
I checked the clips out the other day and there's still plenty of comments being made from as early as a few months ago... stale tea can still taste fresh, I guess!
It's a year, when it's very difficult for me to choose a winner. I make a top 15, but still not sure in this list:
15. Sweden 🇸🇪
14. United Kingdom 🇬🇧
13. Croatia 🇭🇷
12. Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦
11. Malta 🇲🇹
10. Bulgaria 🇧🇬
9. Austria 🇦🇹
8. Denmark 🇩🇰
7. Moldova 🇦🇩
6. Latvia 🇱🇻
5. Greece 🇬🇷
4. Romania 🇹🇩
3. Serbia and Montenegro 🇷🇸🇲🇪
2. Switzerland 🇨🇭
1. Hungary 🇭🇺
Actually from 6 to 1, all entries are my possible winners.
Ok this has nothing to do with anything but there is a fricking car crash outside my house 😳
Hey, I'll get round to responding to ur other comment in a sec 💕 but omg, I hope nobody's hurt 😱 everyone on my street is so nosy, whenever there's an accident or fight everyone either stands outside or gawps out the window. 🙄
@@eurovisiongal7007 I wasn't involved with it at all but I think everyone who was involved with it is okay. And, there was a lot of nosy people around, even I was a little *nosy* but I stayed inside my home
The Dutch singer was in America's Got Talent in one season, she went quite far because she was in the semi-finals or even got to the final if I'm not wrong... :D
The backup for Andorran singer was, if I remember correctly, the Spanish singer in 1995 XDDDDD
And yeah, Czarna dziewczyna was just about 6 pts from qualifying but IMO it should've qualified (along with Slovenia and Netherlands aka the two biggest crimes among the NQs of 2005), it wasn't THAT bad as some of the songs that went in :/
one of the authors of Belarussian song was also an author for I didn't know XD
one of the Latvian guys (but I forgot which one) died not so long ago because of some kind of cancer :(
And really, there used to be in Estonia (and as I heard somewhere, in Lithuania it still can be found because the company still has the rights to brand it seems...but I dunno if my info was actual) an actual ice cream brand named Vanilla Ninja (vanilla taste...and yes, after the band), but I don't know if that was just for these big packages of ice cream one could eat with your family or friends (or alone when having a bad day and watching some kind of romcom or so) or also for small ice cream you could eat on your own, but more like ice lolly-type/sandwich-like with ice cream laying between either two wafers or two cakes/ice cream in a cone/ice cream put in a cup or sth similar but made of wafer :DDDDD
I also enjoy the Serbian-Montenegrin song, I see why someone had an idea to shape Love Love Peace Peace at least partially like that song :D
I have nothing against Let me try but I always laugh at that those "drums" behind Luminita looking like either trash cans or those cans where radioactive (or some other kind of "warning, dangerous") trash is put in XDDDDDD
Is it possible to say that my absolute winner of Esc 2005 is Dima Bilan with his "Not that simple"?
Nah, the song is quite good
I wonder if he could've won with that song?? Who knows!
I think the Spanish song is written by the same person as Asereje and tbh I find it quite underrated, these girls kinda did it all and people didn't appreciate it (the rapper could've been avoided though)
also
Austrian entry is wholesome and based on that argument alone it's in my top 10
I love the Austrian song so much it's in my pfp lol
Really?? That's a surprise, I wasn't really sure what to make of it sounding quite similar.
The Austrian entry IS wholesome, it feels like one of those entries that's randomly super pure and happy :)
wait I looked it up and apparently it's just the same producer but I'm not sure if it's trustworthy.. anyways forget it
I love how everyone from the Austria song look like they're geniunely having lots of fun on stage haha
btw I have such an unpopular opinion, I don't like My Number One 😳
I get a feeling of "aight we bringing everything y'all want now give us the damn trophy" idk that's the best way I can describe it
@@ren4497 I had like a phase a while ago where I liked it a lot less but it grew right back on me 😂 it's definitely pure spectacle in the performance, that can be tryhard to some and just really exciting to others.
Well javine did stop Katie price which was an achievement.
But she said in interview she was sick and that cost her the title, some say
Her song try to rip off other latina or other songs
Hmm 2005....the year which had many solid and great songs.
I haven't ranked that year yet,but here are some of my favorites.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Greece
Hungary
Israel
Latvia
Moldova
Norway
Romania
Russia
Serbia and Montenegro
Slovenia
Switzerland
It does take me foreeever to rank a year, this list took over a month of deliberation 😂 I like your favourites list though! Many similarities with mine.
And Yeah Javine song is simualr to greece entry
Greece underrated
VAL WON'T GO TO ESC 2021 BELARUS NOOOOOO
I KNOW I JUST READ ABOUT IT I knew it was going to happen but I'm still really upset.
The broadcaster was honestly so disgustingly rude to them in their statement, I don't know how tf they're gonna find another respectable artist if they're gonna treat everyone who criticises their government like that
@@eurovisiongal7007 this is offensive, sexist and valophobic
@@zondergezicht honestly the part where they were like "they have no conscience" I was just 💀💀💀 excuse me??? Come again??? No???
Honestly it's probably better for VAL at this stage not to deal with that again but it still sucks. 🥺
@@eurovisiongal7007 anyways, it's my birthday (26th september)
@@zondergezicht omg happy birthday!!!!!
This is a decent year for Eurovision, quite like it! A lot of strong entries, though there's a fair share of weak ones as well. Here's my opinion!
39. Belarus
Wow, the chorus is laughably bad. And the rest of the song doesn't help.
38. Russia
Yup, this is not how you do a metal song. The chorus once again sucks, very poor quality.
37. Austria
This never really caught me. There are a few parts of the song which I actually dislike. I don't know, this is definitely not for me.
36. Bosnia & Herzegovina
The song is generic and the delivery is far from the best one.
35. Germany
Okay, here's another laughably bad chorus, but this time I can actually get enjoyment from those laughs.
34. Belgium
Bland, forgettable entry. And that's really it.
33. Portugal
And speaking about forgettable, this one is by far the most forgettable entry in this year. I don't know why this is higher than other songs. I guess the melody was decent, too bad I already forgot about it.
32. Andorra
I feel like this song could have been executed better, it's really missing something.
31. France
Another one that I can easily forget. The chorus was quite nice, though.
30. United Kingdom
Damn, this is too generic for me to put it any higher.
29. Monaco
I have zero effect from this ballad. It's really not for me.
28. Estonia
It's an interesting setup, and the chorus is okay, but it's nothing special.
27. Ireland
Yup, the same can be said about this song.
26. Finland
Decent ballad, too bad it's another one of those songs that don't stand out.
25. Ukraine
I like the chorus, but the verses aren't for me.
24. Turkey
I used to really dislike this, but it's growing on me now. Overall a decent ethnic song.
23. Albania
Another okay entry, which could have been better. Something's missing...
22. Iceland
Nice song, it has a good chorus, but I understand why it didn't qualify.
21. Greece
Yup, I put this entry down here. I've never really seen anything special about it, especially the chorus, which is the weakest part of the song. But the verses are pretty good and the performance is entertaining, so it's okay.
20. Poland
I like what they did here, good ethnic entry!
19. Spain
I don't know why, but I enjoy this for some reason.
18. Malta
Chiara has a great voice and she definitely raises the bar for this song. I have a feeling that it could have easily flopped with the wrong singer.
17. Israel
Pretty good, the chorus flows really good together and it overall sounds nice. But I have to say, that I'm slowly losing interest about this song, it used to be higher.
16. Lithuania
Sure it sounds cheap, but I really enjoy the instrumental and chorus of this song! To be honest, I have no idea how it ended up in last place, probably because of the bad starting position.
15. Norway
Finally, a decent hard rock entry! Too bad it's kind of generic.
14. Switzerland
Finally, a decent hard rock entry! Too bad it's kind of generic, but not as generic as Norway.
13. Serbia & Montenegro
Love what they did here, the folk sound is great, the song is a bit too repetitive, but it's still good!
12. Croatia
Another awesome entry from Croatia, man, 2004 - 2009 were their golden years!
11. Romania
The staging is awesome, the vocals are great, and the song is catchy! Well deserved top 3 position!
10. Denmark
Classic Danish entry, that's why we love them! They take the simple and turn it into something special!
9. Hungary
I'm pretty sure your comment about Hungary works as well in here.
8. Sweden
One of the rare times when Sweden was actually underrated. I really like the performance, the chorus works really great as well!
7. Cyprus
The chorus is catchy, I like the rhythm, and the song is well performed! This is really a similar situation to Sweden, this one's underrated.
6. The Netherlands
That voice is great! And the ballad is so triumphant, especially in the final chorus! This is another case of a potentially bad song saved and massively improved by a great singer!
5. Bulgaria
Very classy, very interesting - it's a big yes from me. Wonderful instrumental, the mood and atmosphere of this song is fantastic! A very strong debut by a very strong country.
4. Slovenia
This song should have definitely qualified. Omar does a far better job here than in the snore that was his 2017 entry. Also, the metal vibes are awesome!
3. North Macedonia
What a fun, fantastic experience! Another well performed and wonderfully done song, which is catchy and hits all the right notes for me! Awesome, another underrated track!
2. Latvia
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the best thing that we have ever sent to Eurovision. The ballad is beautiful, it spreads a nice message, and is greatly performed, despite the fact that Valters had a bad case of cold in the final. I really think that we deserved the top 5 result, I love what we sent.
1. Moldova
But I love this stuff even more!
Our Top 4 are almost the same except I'd replace Moldova with Ukraine, but, Moldova is still in my top 5
DentalFlan Good choices then! Great to see someone who thinks similarly to myself!

I said what I said
lmaaooooo

That is ur opinion so I must respect it 🥺🙏 But I will say imo the disco-folk fusion style is amazing and unique, the staging is v edgy and cool, and her outfit is the epitome of 2000s chic when jeans were red carpet ready. AND THE HOOK. I love it, really memorable.
I think I've seen it in people's NQs maaaaybe once or twice.
