  • Several viewers have asked me to compare the Wolverine with the ESEE 6

Both great knives for sure! Think I would give the nod to the Wolverine for chopping too. Thanks for the video.

Good review. Both are great knives, but I give the nod to the Wolverine for the simple reason that the ESEE 6 failed the ferro rod test, while the Wolverine did not. And there's the fact that I love WTG, so there you go...😊

Really love this sort of semi-unbiased humble and honest presentation! Well done Aurora! I myself stay away from coated blades for the reason mentioned. 😎👍

If you use your blades alot I find they are way easier to maintain properly if they don’t have a coating

Great video! At 7:42 minutes you say that the convex edge and geometry of the Wolverine knife allows for greater ease in making feather sticks and sculptures. Could it be that the layer of paint on the Esee 6HM knife is what really makes these jobs inevitably difficult due to the friction that the paint causes?

I really like tall saber grinds so the wolverine appealed to me right away.
That particular ESEE model seems silly to me. Why have the handle transition right into the edge? That seems dangerous to me.

Do you consider the Esee 6HM safe, even though it doesn't have a guard?

It really depends on the user.
Personally I have no problem with it
