- This is a review of the Work Tuff Gear Wolverine in A8MAX Steel. I loved everything about this reticulated blade. It is designed by Alex from Aurora Borealis Knives. I was 5 minutes late to the latest Wolverine drop and the A8MAX variant was already sold out. I bought an SK85 variant and am very happy with it.
However, I did have to add a finger choil to it for the choked up grip position. I like to put my thumb along side the blade (not on the spine) when I choke up so, due to the width of the blade, a finger choil was needed for the safety of my index finger. IMHO it actually improves the ergonomics but it does lose half an inch of cutting edge.
I will probably pick up a Mountain Lion too at some point.
Great review man. Enjoyed the video. Such an awesome knife. Cool to see that side by side comparison with the Esee 6 and Mt. Lion. Really wanted to grab one of these when they dropped by just don’t have the extra cash at the moment. Gonna save the dollars for the next Kodiak or Mt. Man drop.

There is a price jump for A8 max? Regular steel must be shit for sure.
A8max is aus 8 Tried for 3 months to get a wtg product and now it looks like a small cup is tha same as a large cup??????? My lamigo???
