To be fair they’re more comfortable in different ranges. Ari struggles with lower notes and Taylor can hit low notes but sometimes struggles with high notes.

Taylor's C5 was flat, but I agree with you on most things. Ariana has way better technique because it includes mixing, tone changes, good support and she can access her rolling tensionfree vibrato throughout her whole range which is a good sign of vocal health! But Taylor definitely has the potential tho if she just worked more on her technique, because she sings in this more speech like placement which has become her style.
The difference Taylor seems ugly and uncomfortable at delivering high notes, while Ariana remains her calm and elegance 😉

Finally someone smart in the comment section. Ariana's been training her voice since like 7 yo. with the vocal coach. While Taylor never had any vocal training. Taylor is more fascinating to me because she sings very good while never having any professional help for singing. Not to mention that Taylor wrote music and lyrics for probably at least 1000 songs, out of these 1000 at least half she did only by herself. That is the unique gift from God.

Taylor swift doesn't have a great voice. He doesn't stand out in anything, he only sings in tune and over the years he has been improving his technique. Taylor's merit is writing simple, flat, easy-to-recognize music, which is why he achieved a lot of fame. On the other hand, Ariana has an extraordinary voice, an impressive vocal range, a great singer of these times. It is sad that Taylor's "entertaining" is valued more and many artists who double his acting talent are overshadowed.
Taylor Swift is an amazing songwriter, but an average singer in my opinion.
Ariana Grande can sing higher octaves better and she has a lot of control over her voice. She nails her falsetto and whistle tones.

There are a lot of better Clips out there of Taylor that you could have used these are just decent vocals but they are definitely not her best vocals besides Eb5 and E5. You should do a part 2 with better clips from Taylor
Same can be said about Ari. Most of her Eb5s in Position era were supported and sounded amazing. Yet this person used clips from Dangerous Woman era, which was more than 5 years ago and definitely don't show Ariana's capabilities as she has been improving ever since.

A4 - Tie (I honestly would have given it to Taylor 'cause DAMN that breath control was good but I could barely hear her over the instrumental/backtrack)
Bb4 - Ariana (Taylor's seemed a bit tensed/nasal while Ariana's was fully supported)
B4 - Tie
C5 - Tie (both were a bit tense so I'll give them a tie)
C#5 - Ariana (I would have given it to Taylor if hers was less tensed; it might just be me but I think Ariana's vibrato seemed a bit unstable here)
D5 - DEFINITELY Ariana (this is one of her *Golden Notes*)
Eb5 - Ariana
E5 - Tie (both were pretty tense)
F5 - Ariana (I think Taylor was trying to growl on an F5 and it ended up being a flat F5 but an F5 indeed)

✨Ariana✨wins. But I must applaud Taylor for her improvement in her belting range, especially her higher belting range (Eb5 and above). If she just worked on opening her throat and supporting her mid-belts a bit more, people would stop hating on her for being a "bad singer" or a "bad vocalist", especially since her lows are already fine for a soprano.

People assume she's a mezzo-soprano because she doesn't belt above E5 that often live. She puts out the occasional F5 and even G5 but she only consistently belts up to E5 live. It's not because she's not naturally comfortable beyond there... it's because her technique does not allow her to sing a proper, grounded F5 or anything above. Plus, Taylor's voice is quite bright and, with some development, her vocal agility could also improve in that sense. The only unusual thing about her is that she is fairly comfortable in her lower range despite being a soprano but that is because of technique; Taylor seems to have worked more on her lower range than the other parts of her voice since it doesn't come naturally to sopranos like her.
@@varunravi27 Taylor does have a bright voice, particularly in her upper range, but she sounds best at the lower end of her range. Her low notes are strong and resonant. I’d argue that her belts are actually a big indicator of her not being a soprano and I don’t think technique can be used as an excuse. Sometimes she struggles to hit mid high notes that a mezzo would not struggle with. She’s been singing and performing for far too long to be an underdeveloped soprano.
I also don’t mean any of this as hate either! I actually find her voice extremely unique in music and the “alto”voice is so underrated. It’s great to have a singer as famous as Taylor Swift to prove that. I think there will always be differences in opinions when it comes to voice types as well, since some music teachers/coaches would agree that she’s a light lyric soprano but I know others would say she’s a mezzo or an “alto”.

@@camw8180 well i might not have talent when it comes to singing but I have skill and dedication and some of her songs are actually hard nothing extremely difficult but she definitely has some songs that are above average vocally and the average singer couldn't sing.
