You cannot imagine how refreshing that bus scene was for me. Feels nice to see the protagonist get as much damage as the bad guys. Always appreciate a healthy dose of realism in a fight scene.
Yes! That’s why I like this movie. Realism, especially the Bro in-law faux-relationship & his multi-racial (government letter-man) family. And the moment the guy he was supposed to K*ll, sees the family he has, he realized his own words, his own words, should be listened to.

Hard to believe this film wasnt a smash hit at the box office. Ive heard Bob Odenkirk wanted to do a sequel but its not come about yet. Everyone who watches and reacts to this film just loves it. I hope a sequel gets funding and greenlit very soon!
I'm pretty sure this movie came out during the pandemic and some theaters were closed/people were apprehensive about going to the movies. I definitely agree that it seems like everyone loves the movie because it's so well done and FUN. Bob Odenkirk did such a terrific job with this.
First movie I went to in theaters after covid hit....good times. I took covid pretty serious as my mother's health wasn't great...but I chanced this since the theater was otherwise empty.
erh what? the sequel was greenlit over a year ago, a quick google search will tell you that :) Exactly because it was considered a huge succes, the film made back three times what was sprent on it almost immediately
It's funny that instant shift to sympathy you get when you see that young couple was eating noodles for dinner and had the sick baby. They go from being villains to desperate parents in a second. Beautifully done.
Good movie. I read a negative review that pointed out how Affleck's portrayal of an autistic person was not accurate. It's a sign of the times, I think, that a movie this good gets poor reviews. Living in a very emotionally weak society today.
it's such a throwaway thing, but that guy lying in the Hospital bed getting a chair thrown at him makes me laugh my ass off every time i see that scene.
This is a great movie. There was an end credits scene. Hopefully, you guys were able to see it. I'm definitely up for a sequel, I hope. Love your guys' channel.
This movie makes me think of a blend of something like 'John Wick' and 'A History of Violence'. I love that Bob Odenkirk plays a bad ass who isn't invincible. He can take a hit and keeps getting up. It's sort of like 'John Wick' who is all about drive and determination. But there's also the 'A History of Violence' aspect of having a family and trying to live the normal life only to realize that maybe it isn't for you. In this case you can tell he loves his family, but he was also tired of being someone he wasn't. This movie is just so damn entertaining and had a great blend of action and comedy.
A History of Violence is an amazing film, but neither of the films you mentioned has the tone and humor of "Nobody". Not criticising either John Wick (which I LOVE) or the other, just saying - entirely different movies to me.
@@i_love_rescue_animals I meant in terms of action and family life. Obviously 'Nobody' adds more humor and that's why I think it manages to stand out so much. Bob Odenkirk has great delivery and he actually enjoys what he does whereas someone like John Wick views it as more of a profession. Although I did hear rumblings that they were considering placing both of them in the same movie universe, but I hope that doesn't happen.
I'm so pleased you're finally seeing this,it's a great movie and I love it,I don't think too many people have reacted to it which is a shame.P.S. Loved all your comments, and did you see the clip that was after the credits as you didn't mention it. ❤
The interesting thing is that it's the same writer/creator and the same basic plot as the first John Wick, but at each point, he made different decisions about how to approach the story. It's still a story about a former killer who goes to war against the Russian mob after a young family member of a mob boss goes rogue and gets into a conflict with the main character. They still raid his house. He still raids their storehouse and burns their valuables. He still gets into a final showdown with the mob boss and kills him. It's amazing that everything can be so much the same and yet so different.
This action while still not realistic is more realistic than John Wick. That bus fight had the two guys who took over for Van Damme in the Kickboxer series of movies.

@idiot_city5244 The end of the movie laid the foundation for a sequel. If you do some research they waited to do it because they don't want it to be good they want it to be great
I thought TAKEN had some interesting "extensions" but neither completely escaped the Dull Sequel Curse. As much fun as I had with NOBODY, my expectations for sequels or follow-ups will be dimmed. I thought RED 2 would be fun but... sigh... it wasn't as much fun.
8:35 - First time I saw Connie Nielsen was in The Devil's Advocate (1997) with Keanu Reeves, followed by Gladiator (2000). Funny thing is later in this movie, Hutch pitches the idea of a family trip to Rome, to where Nielsen's character tells the kids some Rome trivia, indirectly alluding to her involvement in Gladiator. 9:50 - Statistically, the 7 of Spades and 2 of Diamonds is the worst possible starting hand you can be dealt in Texas Hold 'Em. So his tattoo means you should fold (walk away) because otherwise, it's not going to end well for you.
Bob Odenkirk said the training he had to do leading up to this movie saved his life when he had a heart attack after the movie. He did a lot of physical training and a better diet for this role. He said he felt years younger so he kept it up. The gains didn't stop him from having it but it did make his body healthy enough to live past it.
The director described Hutch as an alcoholic who falls off the wagon. Only, instead of alcohol, it's violence. So he keeps wanting it more and more as the movie goes. Also, this movie shares the same writer and producer as John Wick. That's why people compare them. People also have a fan theory (or maybe hopes) that they are in the same universe. And it definitely released to theatres because I saw it in theatres and loved it.
Yep, excellent, excellent, excellent damn film. One of my top favs also. Bob Obercurk said he is so ready to do a sequel. I think it did ok in theaters but maybe not well enough for the studio? They just don't know what they have here. (Must be the same Firefly Fox execs.) What idiots would throw away another Wick franchise? (FOX EXECS !)
You should absolutely watch the John Wick movies with us anyway before watching the 4th movie. Rewatches can be fun too. Call it flashback Friday or something like that
The people that made this film also made the John Wick films. It might be a shared franchise because the stamps on the gold bars look very much like the ones in the Wick films.
If you're not aware of it, both John Wick and Nobody were written by the same screenwriter. According to him, both characters exist in the same universe. There has been rumors of doing a crossover between the two franchises but they're owned by different studios so it probably won't happen, though that's what everyone thought about the Aliens and Predator franchises and Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th as well. As far as a sequel to Nobody, it's in the works. They're supposed to start principal photography sometime this year, though my bet is sometime next year before they start.
9/10 Gimme 'Nobody 2' An absolute blast! 'Nobody' is a supremely entertaining action flick. Most of it actually feels fairly usual for a film of this sort, yet the way everything is presented is great! The pacing is perfection, the musical choices are fully on point and then you also have strong cast performances. Bob Odenkirk is of course (rightly) super acclaimed for that role as a certain lawyer elsewhere, so it's nice to see him doing other things. He is superb in this from beginning to end. Aleksei Serebryakov also gives a good performance, as also seen in television's 'McMafia'. Christopher Lloyd and RZA are fun, too. The action is top notch, especially the fight stuff, and the humour - whilst not in your face - is noteworthy as well. It all comes together to make a fantastic 90 minutes that truly fly by. Gimme 'Nobody 2'.
Now it depends on Bob Odenkirk's health situation. After his heart attack he has to be more careful with roles like this at this age. He worked really, really hard to get into shape and to be able to do these action scenes. Which probably saved him from a worse outcome with the heart attack to be honest. Now, he's said he and the director want to do a sequel and they set things up and the "world" obviously can support many, many sequels lol so we'll see what happens. Also, the rumor for a while was some sort of cross over movie with the John Wick franchise, and I forget which director said it, but it was basically said they are in the same universe. So, who knows?
I worry for Bob Odenkirk, he was filming and producing this movie simultaneously with Better Call Saul Season 6. (and he had a heart attack on set on BCS).
Another great movie IMO is Violent Night. It a Christmas action movie with David Harbour. And it's made by a lot of the same people who made this movie. And Christmas is coming up so you never know near future reaction maybe Haha. Anyway loved your reactions as always!

Do make sure you go back to watch the post credit scene--it's a hoot! Also, another vote for Gunpower Milkshake. Some similarities to Nobody and John Wick. Great actors, action and a unique approach. A lot of fun!
Well, they are all movies, so yeah totally similar. Gunpowder Milkshake was TERRIBLE, and also a massive bomb for Netflix. It's the studio going "lets make an action movie with all females, because that's what our audience is craving.... don't worry about making it any good either"
39:10 - there is a post credit scene, with the brother and the father driving to somewhere, in which the father refuses to believe that he killed three guys with only one shot hahaha
I think it's not so much comparing the movie to John Wick... it's more the fact that people see links to John Wick. There are theories that both movies take place in the same Universe.
This movie is an instant cult classic. A sleeper hit if there ever was one. It doesn't seem like a lot of people have seen it, but those of us that have, know it's a masterpiece. I love John wick but i honestly think this tops it.
I think it didn't get a theatrical release because of the pandemic shutting down all movie theatres, went straight on one of the streaming services and wasn't marketed?
43:20 - I always thought that this is much more similar to the Equilizer than to John Wick, but with more comedy. There's even a kind of warehouse ending battle here too.

Yeah... I hope they saw that.. or someone.. told them about it 🤦🏽♂️
"Nobody" was more realistic than "John Wick"... I mean how many times can you get hit by a car in a franchise🤣🤣🤣
Connie Nielsen was in "Gladiator". She's so good in everything she's in.💫💫
I think it's not so much comparing the movie to John Wick... it's more the fact that people see links to John Wick.
There are theories that both movies take place in the same Universe.
most cars nowadays have a fire extinguisher. expensive ones pretty much always.
Bob Odenkirk doesn't miss a beat in Ilya Naishuller fun, dumb and thoroughly daft vigilante thriller.
The reason it seems like John Wick, ihe guys who made it most were involved in making John Wick.
Yo that flying chair into that guy’s face in the hospital bed was unintentionally funny. lol. I giggled my butt off for five minutes😅
Watched this a couple of times and didn't realize it was Michael Ironside until you mentioned it.
You guys missed the after-credit scene … or is it a mid-credit scene? Either way you missed it, lol!
hi reaction city of god. brazilian movie
I've been waiting for this all night long , so glad I didn't fall asleep ❤
Bob odenkirk did the bus scene himself the fighting on the bus himself and l think the other action scenes in it as well
Amazing film!! Awesome reaction!! Thank you!!! 😃
There's talk about trying to put this movie in the John Wick universe.
Seeing Michael Ironside in anything is just awesome.
Supposedly, Nobody 2 will happen. True Lies was tailor-made for a sequel as well, so fingers crossed that it actually happens.
I think there was some speculation that there would be a cross over with John wick.
Just a great example of a movie made to give the audience a good time.
Do u guys know there was a post credit scene? If not the more you know
I wish I was a billionaire, I would fund a crossover between, Nobody, The Equalizer and John Wick. Just imagine.... Great video guys!
And Hardcore Henry
So glad to see this reaction. This movie is underrated.
There were some mid-credit scenes, I hope you saw them.
Agreed. The mid-credits scene is so fun. And sets things up for a sequel.
