I really appreciate the genga-style breakdown! It goes to show how a style that looks very simple in the final product can actually be very complicated and it helps for character designers to be mindful of such things when working on their own work. If I were to ever animate my own characters some day, it's good to know how much work I would need to put into certain styles and thus I can decide how to simplify and stylized accordingly. This helps more than just animators!
It also really shows how much goes into animating the eyes of Chainsaw Man and Oshi No Ko characters!

Ah the anime eye. The part where most of the emotions being delivered. In recent shows I think the eyes from SSSS Gridman's left the most impression on me. They use a lot of close-up shots too and they paid off really well. Thanks for the 'glimpses' behind these designs~

Thanks for the Video Dong Chang! very helpful. Also do you know if it happens that there could be 2 designs for the same character?, one lets say... "standard" detail level design for medium shots and full shots, and another for close ups and extreme close ups with much more richer detail level on the character??

Is there such a thing where certain eyes are strictly designed for a certain series and never been used in any other? (Such as Dragon Ball) unless running the risk of plagiarism if anyone drew eyes that were to look similar?
or is it just one of those industry things where certain eye shapes are shared between different series? how are the eyes differentated without giving every character the same face? Which I've seen is also actually quite common in some series too
