I was so upset when he died. Imagine him against Negan and Beta. That would’ve been dope. Seeing him evolve with Daryl and Rick despite what happened with Laurie. I get why he was hated to some fans, but he was a touch bastard.
TH-cam User thing is though, I feel like him dying was one of the only ways to end his character arc. He was an incredibly complex person, but before he died we all watched him spiral. In many ways, it wouldn’t have been best for him or character wise to keep him alive because that spiral would have had no pay off Plus we all know that they probably would have butchered his character if he carried on living for longer. Still a fun idea though!
haisey What Jamey Gorman said. His death force ricks character arc and the plot for quite a bit of the series- sure he could have lasted maybe another season or more, but that might have given the chance for his character to be ruined, because there’s not much further that he can go for on where they would have let off. I hate that he died so earlier, but maybe it’s for the best that his character was only there for 2 seasons; many people still say that many characters they felt have been ‘ruined’ because they’ve gotten soft, all because they’ve spent too much time on the show and nobody knows what to do with them. That’s just my thoughts anyway. Feel free to disagree 🤷♀️
My first time I absolutely hated him and I wanted Rick to kill him so badly, but with every rewatch he grows more on me. His character is so well written and goes out perfectly.
Imagine keeping your bestfriend's family safe, falling in love with his wife because of circumstances, enduring the games that she played with your mind, trying to get everybody on the right track survival wise to only be pushed to the side and told that your child will never be yours even it was biologically. That is enough pain to send any man over the edge. I feel like I'm the only fan who understood Shane as a person. He wasn't perfect, but he was more rational and honest than people initially gave him credit for. I honestly believe that Shane never tried to kill Rick. His purpose of isolating his bestfriend in that field was to force Rick's hand to finally do the one thing that he has been begging him to do the whole time, which happened to be making the tough decision. Shane was depressed by the end of his story and all the signs showed especially with him isolating himself from the group.
I am a shane fan as well. I get where he is coming from and i am annoyed with people treating him like a bad person when he was the one who kept the group safe in the beginning of it all.
He wasn't a bad person. He just got drove to a demented state and therefore made harsh and ruthless decisions that weren't always right. I still believe he could have redeemed himself but chose that he couldn't live with not being with Lori, Carl and Judith. Which in my opinion is the only evil decision he made by luring Rick out to kill him. Overall wasn't a bad person. Wasn't the best in the end. But I believe he wanted to see Rick finally make the hard decision which ultimately was his end. In the end I think he wanted to die. He was at a place where he couldn't live with Lori, Carl and Judith knowing what he did if he killed Rick and couldn't live with not being with them if he was alive. So he pushed Rick to his witts end so he could be free from everything and just die.
@FR0WNED Because he wanted supplies and he wanted to see it done. So he sent the more capable people of the group; I.E, the men. As for Andrea, you know what she was like back then. She probably begged him to go. Waited on him hand and foot to let her go. She wanted to feel useful and you know that. Maybe she was quick on her feet and knew what to grab. Maybe that's why he let her go. The other lady with them was probably the same exact way. Shane didn't care about the altercations of technical shit like that in the zombie apocalypse. If the racist shit started getting out of hand in front of him, he would've stopped it. But it was survival about him, Lori and Carl. That's what mattered the most to him. He loved them and then when Lori started playing with his head the way she did, when Lori completely banned him from seeing Carl, when she handled it ALL WRONG, that's when he snapped. Mind you, Shane was at fault here as well, but Lori really screwed that one up. He wasn't really a good leader. He might've been for later on in the world. TWD's mantra has repeatedly been shown to be, 'You do what you need to do to survive.' and he would've done that without hesitation.
Shane was too OP for the walking dead world, so they wrote him out of the show. He would have ruined a lot of the future alterations because he would have just killed everyone.
Exactly. It was no way they was keeping his character around for long. He was too much of a realist and survival freak. I had a theory that his character could have stayed alive if they had him work for the Governor somehow and make him clash with our buddy Rick during the woodbury x prison war. That would have made for a great storyline, but I guess they decided to go with Merle instead although I thought he should have went in the episode "too far gone" when the Governor attacked the prison.
Nah bro that’s just how the story goes lol, he died the same way in the comics actually they kept him for a little longer on the show if they woulda followed the comics he would have probably died at the end of season one but they kept him for another season, imo it was a great choice it made his character better he’s definetly one of my favorite characters on the show, but yea they didn’t write him out lol, his character was always meant to die
Honin Akecheta im 100% sure shane would’ve killed those prisoners when they first showed up, that would mean andrew would’ve already died. That means that T dog and Lori both could’ve lived, shane doesn’t take chances
Nah if he was still on the show I think they should have done a toxic relationship between shane and the group then finally he would sneak off and join the savior's and when they fought in season 7 for Alexandria on the last episode instead of Eugene being up there it should have been Shane
@@idontknowwhattoputformyuse1104 honestly I think that he would try to kill me again but negan would put him back in his place and kill Shane in front of Alexandria or he would keep Shane alive and make him kill Carl right in front of Rick because that would honestly destroy Shane I think Shane would rather die than to kill Carl because all the way back in season 1 and 2 he did nothing but care for Carl and Lori he even said "you and Carl are everything"

Shane knew what was coming before anyone else did. Shane was WOKE and knew how to survive. If it wasn't for his cloudy feelings for Laurie, he would have continued to be a solid leader. He was fearless. Not to mention, everyone became Shane afterwards, and not too shortly afterwards, either. Every single person (including Glenn, RIP, at one point) did it and finally grasped it but never gave a second thought or mention about Shane. He did what was necessary to keep people he loved alive and moving forward and so did they. He was in full-on survival mode. I'll never agree with all of his decisions, ever, but I fully understood why he did what he did when his focus was on the REAL issues at hand. He kept trying to warn everyone and no one was prepared. No one wanted to budge. And honestly, if it weren't for Shane, no one would've learned to grow the hell up and wake up. I wish he remained on the show longer. Shane truly loved Rick. And Carl. He stayed in the hospital. He really thought Rick was dead. He couldn't help falling for Laurie and I HATE that Laurie got off without any real blame or infractions when she did all the meddling and got into everyone's ears - especially Rick's - about how she played no part when she was still playing games at the farm. It was her that convinced Shane to think he still had a chance on the farm while swearing to Rick she hated him and he had to go. Rick wasn't stepping up at that time and didn't like Shane calling him out on it. Rick also NEVER took Shane aside to hear his side ONCE, EVER. That pissed me off. So Shane went out into that field with an UNLOADED pistol and Rick murdered him Shakespearean-style for Laurie, not for the camp or Carl or anyone else. For himself. I would have loved to have seen Shane's character development and see him go after the REAL villains side by side with Rick and Daryl. Maybe he would've been killed differently or they would have parted ways but his character definitely deserved better.
100% agree it’s just that gun WAS loaded although if Shane wanted to kill Rick at that moment he obv could have , Jon bernthal actually wanted the gun to be unloaded tho
Shane was a really good character he was one of the strongest characters as well. Imagine all the enemies the group has gone up against imagine if shane was alive to go against them he was in my opinion one of the best characters the show have had
Shane is so amazing in my opinion, credits to Jon Bernthal to being such an amazing actor and bringing the character to life. I believe that Shane shouldn't have died. He is so strong, not to mention he is the only reason Carl, Lori, and Judith are still alive (even though Carl and Lori still died, he's the reason they made it that far). He is a fighter, warrior, and overall hero. He should get more credit and less hate. He was in season 7-9 while everyone was in season 1-2, they just couldn't see it yet, if Shane was still alive when the battle between Negan was still going on, he would have been an amazing fighter, and an even better one during the Whisperer war.
Loved how in Ricks final episode we saw Shane again to truly understand and see how deeply Shane affected Rick I mean damn at the beginning of the show we saw how brutal and cold Shane could be and how nice and caring Rick was and then time went on and by the end we saw how Rick had literally turned into a form of Shane amazing character and AWESOME tribute..........
Shane is the perfect example of the lengths one will go to protect those he cares for in a zombie apocalypse he had morals and sure he betrayed those morals but he did it to survive and was pushed into becoming the man he was at the end by those he cared for in both a good and bad way
@@Someguy-wl4qy he fought rick over who was the father of judith, him or rick, he died because rick stabbed him during the fight, he died because he got Lori pregnant lol.
I expected Shane to make it at least as far as Glenn but in season 2 I was sure that he simply could not continue with Rick's group and either he should have left or the fight with Rick was inevitable. But to be honest it's apocalypse and the only men who is standing is Daryl now in s10 (counting only people who are with us from the beginning except from Carol)

The crazy part is that Shane was right all along. He HAD to do SOME of the things he did to make sure his group stayed alive. Rick proved that by basically turning into what Shane was in season 1 and 2. That said, Shane did do some stuff that undeniable made him a villian, like assaulting Lori and killing Ottis.
The walking dead earlier seesons with Shane were so good because we got to experience the internal conflict between the two men rick and Shane , I do think Shane was a brutal killer but at the end of the day I admire how he see’s things for what they are and his willingness to do what it takes to stay alive and keep his loved ones safe

He was never scared to die, he sacrificed himself for the group, he could survive anything
Perfect song for Shane for his tribute. One of the most underrated character, he was too messed because of the situations. Without him they wouldn't have survived during the initial days.

Would've loved shane have a epic 1v1 fight with some of the villains
100% agree it’s just that gun WAS loaded although if Shane wanted to kill Rick at that moment he obv could have , Jon bernthal actually wanted the gun to be unloaded tho
Shane was a really good character he was one of the strongest characters as well. Imagine all the enemies the group has gone up against imagine if shane was alive to go against them
he was in my opinion one of the best characters the show have had
Jon Bernthal is one of the most underrated actors of our time.
0:46 THAT TRANSITION THO!
Underrated
I liked Shane a lot. He was my favorite at one point
out of all characters in the walking dead he was one of the most fun to watch!
Shane is the perfect example of the lengths one will go to protect those he cares for in a zombie apocalypse he had morals and sure he betrayed those morals but he did it to survive and was pushed into becoming the man he was at the end by those he cared for in both a good and bad way
Shane....he did started to paint it Black since he shoot Otis.
@@Connorintotherealworld you would've survived if u didn't bang Lori lol
@@yhviis bitch he didn't die for dat crap

@@Someguy-wl4qy and if he didn't fuck Lori he wouldn't have said that :/
I expected Shane to make it at least as far as Glenn but in season 2 I was sure that he simply could not continue with Rick's group and either he should have left or the fight with Rick was inevitable. But to be honest it's apocalypse and the only men who is standing is Daryl now in s10 (counting only people who are with us from the beginning except from Carol)
Shane was always my favorite character of the show I was sad when they killed him off😕
I mean he killed otis and tried to rape lori and then non stops trys to get with lori even though she dosent want him and rick is back
Same him or Merle why did they have to kill them off if Shane and merle and darly and rick would of team up they would of been unstoppable.
@@expiredmilk9043 on the other hand lori didnt make it easy for him aswell ....they never talked together ( all 3 of them)
if lori would have had that talk emmiditely things would have run smoothly , but just blocking shane out of her life and forbidding him to see the kid he risked his life for tho safe isnt the way
@@expiredmilk9043 ok?
Shanes my favourite character in all of television!
Greatest shane tribute I've ever seen I personally love shane i just think he evolved into the apocalypse faster then everyone else did
R.I.P Shane Walsh
1x01 - 2x12
2:10 I loved this scene, keep up the good work.
Shane saved our Hero's life at the beginning so he is as Close as Rick in my Heart! ❤️❤️❤️
Finally a proper Shane tribute! 10/10
My friend does sound for the walking dead and amc. He will love this , gonna send it his way .

Rick not= shane
At the end :
Rick = shane

Such a great tribute for such a great character. Amazing work!
This might just be the best Shane tribute I've ever seen.
SHANE, PAINT IT BLACK, I CAN’T WAIT!!!
Tye actor dud remarkable job cause after a decade we still simping over Shane
Shane and Merle were my favorite, man. I miss them, but they both had to go. So, let's remember them for who they were and what they taught us. Amazing edit, by the way!
If you ever make a Merle tribute with a dark song, such as this one, I'd be thrilled. I love your tributes.
Metalhead. issues6661 shane and merle were the most tough
@@josepha5535 I agree. They were made for the apocalypse, but the others realized it way too late.
Shane ok, but Merle? are you serious?
@@John-ww5rn Uh, yeah? He's like, one of the best TWD characters, in my opinion.
If you disagree, cool. You have your opinion, I have mine. Respect. ✌🏻
League of Carry tbh merle went through hell as a kid with daryl, he’s been in jail he’s been abused by his dad, he has had drug addiction, he was in the military for a little while, he didn’t even need help when he cut off his hand and escaped the rooftop. He was never scared to die, he sacrificed himself for the group, he could survive anything
I miss shane so much
Perfect song for Shane for his tribute.
One of the most underrated character, he was too messed because of the situations. Without him they wouldn't have survived during the initial days.
"This is where you belong Shane, this world, what it is now, this is where you belong"
Shane will always be one of my favorite charecters! Together with Jerry, Ezekiel the Governor and Daryl🥀❤
Lol Jerry and Ezikiel suck.
Yes the lost we got from Shane was a given for the punisher but hell does it hurt knowing Shane could have been so amazing in the walking dead rn
No one on this platform is better at these than you! Well done, man!
One of the best tributes/edits I’ve seen of a character from any show glad to see it belongs to Shane on the walking dead
I never knew how to feel about Shane, I liked him and hated him at the same time lol, but he was an amazing character and a true survivor. I’d love to know what twd would be like if he was still alive.
This tribute was incredible, Kekker. One of your best! I loved every second of it, great song choice too!
Shane was actually right. He was just too ahead of his time. And people think he is bad but shane was right all along.
He was the most badass character and he was everytime right,he and Rick who becomes Shane 2.0 after season 3 would be the best combo
Nah shane tried to rape lori and dosent know that no means no and he tried to kill rick twice
Shane tried to kill his best friend and take his family...
0:59 "I see a line of cars and they're all painted black." *shows a line of cars*
Shane became in two seasons what it took rick in 5
Still my favorite character of all time. I would've LOVED to see him mix it up with some of the scumbags from later seasons. So mad when they followed the story and killed him. Just imagine if he would've just been LEFT for dead and came back later as Negans right hand man. Or as Negan himself even. Just crazy
This was SO GOOD! I loved it! Shane was such a good character. Really great job man, I cant wait to see what more awesome videos you come up with next :D
Shane's development and personality in Seasone 1 and 2 was already fit for Season 6,7, and 8.
As long as Shane gots that shotgun he's invincible. Lol
Imagine if Shane still was alive. Amazing tribute KEKKER! Keep up the hard work!
The best team in twd hands down (Glenn,Daryl,Rick,Shane,Abraham,Merl, michone,Jesus)my opinion
Tyreese?
Shane Walsh lmfao
The Lone walker.. so simple yet so mysterious & in a way powerful
One of the most underrated characters on the show
Oh he has the paint it black ability card.
Next Rick Grimes Paint it, Black ? Who is for giving a like
YES...
My favourite character he may be crazy but he's loyal and was trying to protect
They have to do an alternate version of TWD where Shane kills Rick in that field. The story would be so different, like a whole new show
Shane would have just killed people without a thought
@@slowmotion7817 that's what would've been interesting. They would've made completely different encounters. Plus Shane isn't evil, he just does what has to be done

Excellent video as always on one of the most badass characters
next video would be nice on the Governor or Beta?
Honestly don't see why people like the Governor so much she wasn't even a good character like seriously no one liked him lol

Only if he was alive till Season 4. I really wanted to see him go against the Governor! Just imagine, Him backing up Rick when they were fighting? OMG!

I wonder what would happen if Rick sent Shane away and if they met Rick in the movie.

No Shane, no Rick Grimes. That dude saved him and made him an incredible leader. Only 2 seasons but a hell of a impact.

Lol he has done nothing
He is at this point the second best fighter in the show.
He was and still is my favourite character in the series. I loved him then and even loved him more when he became the Punisher!
As a side note, Shane immediately understood what it took to live in a world with undead bodies. It took a while before Rick realized this too. I don't really see that much of difference between Shane and the version of Rick from the last couple of seasons.

Great tribute, but Shane was never one of my favorites. He thought Rick was dead...ok I give him that. When Rick showed up, Shane thought of that as Rick ruining things...for him.
