@@crispycream6385 I mean look at all The Walking Dead villains, they all have a motive, a reason and when you look at it from their perspective they don't really seem evil. The only villain I could say is single headedly irredeemable is Alpha and that's purely based on Lydia's accounts however it may be different in the new spin off.
Tragic character, Shane was. Labeled as a 'villain', but really his metamorphosis stemmed from being a victim. He was done dirty, and changed as a result. The lone walker is symbolic of his solitary journey, the outcast, misunderstood, the loneliness he feels even more inflamed by the recognition that in the beginning of the series, he had his own family with Lori and Karl. Then it was all taken from him. This life can hand out some tough hands.
Everything is Lori’s fault. Shane was going far away from the group in season 2 and Lori manipulated him to stay. She’s basically the worst wife ever, Shane slipped into madness because of her gaslighting and manipulation. He didn’t needed to try to kill his best friend and she didn’t even loved Rick. She even says she keeps wondering if she still loves him in a flashback.
The most amazing tribute. We all knew deep down, Shane was a man of loyalty, who would have done anything for his so called brother Rick. He legitimately, honestly thought Rick was going to die upon leaving him in the hospital. He couldn’t carry him… it’d been a suicide mission. He grew to love Carl and Lori while Rick was away. Lori had believed Rick was dead. Shane had also believed. Lori then cut ties with Shane, or tried to. Shane later fell into a very dark shutdown, depression state. He was devastated. Rick had love for his brother, Shane gave a face of relief when he got Rick to finally kill him. When he revisited Rick in his bleeding out vision later, he admired Rick for what he did, and told him to forget it. We are civilian. We are Grimes. We are all forever Shane. Love this edit , it’s beautiful
I know it seems he wanted to kill Rick, but Jon Bernthal who played Shane has insight into the development of the character and shouldn’t be discredited. He wanted to add a scene that showed Rick checking his gun after the stabbing only to find it unloaded insinuating there was no intention to kill Rick but rather be killed by him.
Masterpiece
the most misunderstood character in twd
Yes you are.
Yes.
Indeed. More misunderstood than Negan imo
Not really. He killed innocent people

She just feels guilty she was screwing his best friend. Lori and Andrea are the two female worst and useless characters ever!
2:48 that transition is insane!!

Wow. You're part of the few of us in the community who ACTUALLY understand Shane. Bravo Josh!
Facts pure facts
That was just an figment of ricks imagination though,
He didn’t get Rick to kill him. He wanted Rick dead so he could be with Lori

Bernthal is criminally underrated
That episode , that story , when Shane looks at the walker . It got me , it was so sad , gives me chills even to this day
Wow just wow, this show at its prime was unstoppable
Damn this show is so good, I’ve got my mom watching it for the first time. She’s damn near 70 and she’s hooked

Sigo diciendo que shane no era malo, solo que Lori tuvo la culpa de que el se enamorará de ella y por eso murio
