We are four players short of a squad that could go on to win the Prem. We need that top striker we are missing. It's frustrating watching how Chelsea get their transfer business done so quickly Edu seems to be in slow motion look how long its taken to get Merino in most of the window. We were lucky yesterday had Watkins taken his chances we lose the game, we were poor against Wolves. Let's not get carried away there is a lot of work to do and a long hard season ahead.
We aren’t a powerhouse. All the commentary on Arsenal would have been much different if we lost 2-0 which was very possible. Arsenal were very lucky. Great result and that is all that matters today, but City are still miles ahead. Arsenal need a few more attacking options if they are going to have a shot this season.

@@lewis6478 Wow congrats you won the higher xg must be nice now i don´t feel so good about the 3 points. 4 place last season should take the game to any team at home. this is the problem with Emery no balls overthinks. the best teams just play they´re football at home, i bet the players are not happy with low risk low block at home. i would be worried if i was a Villa fan second season at Arsenal he did the same to much focus on the opponent and how they play. it always gets him in trouble.
Also doesn't help that every time he comes off, Trossard comes on and scores within like 10 mins consistently, if he doesn't start performing he will lose his place as a starter and personally, I'm not sure why he hasn't given his form vs trossard.
Martinelli is trying very hard to play more thoughtfully. His natural game is to drive forward at high speed and cause a persistent threat to the opposition. It's a learning curve because he is struggling to work out when he should run at his opponent or pass it and if he's not fully pumped when he makes a late decision to run, the defenders get the upper hand and he's forced to simply turn around and pass it backward or inside, to little effect. His attempt to change his style also means he's not as in-sync with the team's rhythm compared to when was playing by his natural instincts.

Great to see Gary Neville making yet another appearance on the Gary Neville podcast
Haaaaaaa@@chrishaswell4405

One thing about Mikel he is not ashamed to replicate Pep's tactics. nothing wrong with it if you win.
Yes, you need cover in attack, especially for Saka
Even the best teams need a slice of luck
You know chelsea had higher xg against city? They were also lucky but that doesnt matter, every team needs it somewhere in the season.
@@Ardano62he is new to football. wanna talk about luck in football and title and champions league wins? how much time u got…
3 years back gary used to say there's no style of play at arsenal and that he could see it with solskjaer more than arteta. Now he is singing praises of arsenal and arteta. This is exactly how you turn haters into your fans. Well done arteta!
If u call arsenal powerhouse...then what are manchester city 😂😂...
A super super powerhouse
Juggernauts
Cheats
Cheating 💩houses! 👎😂
Man City a well OILED machine
Agree , ETH should not sub any of back 4 out unless injury enforced.
Its not all about Watkins. Villa were handed their own backsides.
If you ignore 89 minutes of the game. Yes 😂
@@tmithoth8956Villa had 15 minutes mate. David Raya makes a great save, then Arsenal take over again and score through Clutch Trossard
@@tmithoth8956Villa sat back, at home, the entire game. They tried to counter like last year. Embarrassing
@@alexbelotti1603you must of been watching a different game ya welp. You were shite and they played you off the park until you got ANOTHER lucky break.
@@nuudelz3711 Meanwhile, Arsenal sat back and did absolutely nothing
Arsenal are a powerhouse team as we were in 2004,let’s not forget Edu was part of that team
That haven't won anything of significance in 20 year.

Whereby, I’ve never missed a Gary Neville podcast, without exaggeration, but to exaggerate on the concept
Good to see a guest appearance from gary neville
We just need a striker or a winger but can't see it happening and its so frustrating cus why waste time when your only 1 piece away. You wait and the moment will pass....
If Arsenal can convince Nico Wlliams to join, and that's a big if, they'll 100% pull the trigger on his release clause, especially since they'll have made 70m in player sales this window.
You aren’t one piece away. City will win the prem no matter who you buy simply because they have pep and Tixi and Khaldoon. Those guys are the reason why city will continuously dominate the prem
Yeah this isn't FIFA though mate. The club is clearly watching their funds carefully. They do no want to make the same mistakes Everton and Notts F made.
How angry would you be with Edu and the club if Arsenal were given a 5-8 point deduction for overspending?
Amazed how Gary always finds the time to pop in to the Gary Neville podcast.
Little harsh on ETH there Gazza, it's only been 3 years, surely he will get it right in 3 more.
Obligatory Gary Neville comment about him being on the Gary Neville podcast
Is this Gary or Phil on the Gary Neville Podcast?
Always good to see Gary Neville on the Gary Neville podcast
Need Phil in ere 😂😂
Boring
The battle for 8th place is gonna be fire
Great to see Gary Neville on the Gary Neville podcast
Bore off you gimp
Bias aside, witn Raya's heroics this weekend and making his signing permanent, Calafiori, Merino deals done and with Smith Rowe, Nketiah & Vieira on their way out and Arsenal looking at potentially a winger & Striker coming in... Thats a good window for the Arsenal.
It’s great to see Gary Neville…
On the Gary Neville podcast
At this moment in time😅
Where are the “Garry Neville on the Gary Neville podcast” commenters?
If you can't see the irony of your comment 😂
Bots having the night off.
Well said
Saliba is by far the best defender in the premier league!
Gabriel is better, he does all the aggressive dirty work so that Saliba can take less risks and clean up... but clowns who know nothing about football will obviously think the player whose job is easier is the better player.... that is life in general.
@@ysycotikstop tryna be the edgy guy bro no one’s looking at you salibas better😂😂 gabriel still has that bozo gene in him look what he did in the game it’s those moments that seperately the two just be happy we have both of them

Brighton have had the best transfer window. West Ham very good too
Crazy how they're saying this but villa had like 2 tap ins missed and couldvery easily won and killed the game if they had gone in watkins literally had 2 open goals
If we're gonna talk about IFs and BUTs why not mention they would have been a goal down before their first chance?
You do know first clear cut chance fell to Arsenal?
But it didn´t Arsenal could have easily won the league if we took our chances against Villa last season but they didn´t so why waist time talking about it. maybe if you didn´t park the bus at home you could´ve won
@big.g5820 lol parked the bus that's funny must be the first team to park a bus and then have a higher xg than the other team
@Qlicky are you Talking about the saka chance? If so 'clear cut' is abit of a push
Gabriel was clearly fouled, VAR would have disallowed it.
Poor comments on Utd subs. The changes at cb are obviously trying to get de ligt fit and ease him in. Once fit Maguire will stay on the bench
Villa need a few more pieces to the puzzle 1 or 2 more quality players
Martinelli is trying very hard to play more thoughtfully. His natural game is to drive forward at high speed and cause a persistent threat to the opposition. It's a learning curve because he is struggling to work out when he should run at his opponent or pass it and if he's not fully pumped when he makes a late decision to run, the defenders get the upper hand and he's forced to simply turn around and pass it backward or inside, to little effect. His attempt to change his style also means he's not as in-sync with the team's rhythm compared to when was playing by his natural instincts.
Message to all the Premier League and international players that play against Aston Villa or Argentina:
Shoot on Martinez's left to score against him
It is his weak side.
And it is VERY weak. That isn't the first time I've seen that error from him.
@@StuTheDon17 yes indeed more often than not when he concedes it is near the right post which is on his left.
