    Everyone including their mother predicted us to lose cuz of the of injuries we had 😂 DELUSION, its spurs guys... I took that value and placed the faith on us in a Stake parlay 🥳 The pundits probably forgot that we have both the best goalkeeper, and the best defense in the premier league 🤷‍♀️

    Timber was immense, understood the NLD assignment straight away and was easily one of our best defenders of the game. 100% gonna be our 1st choice left back going forward.

    • @machinewashableOG
      @machinewashableOG หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      He was fantastic, only issue with him on the left is that he avoids using his left foot, so we lack early cross and cut back opportunities with him in that position. Makes a dilemma because Ben is so good on the right!

    • @S1MX2
      @S1MX2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@machinewashableOGlol you’re contradicting yourself. You’re saying no early crosses because he doesn’t use his left foot, meaning the only way for him to cut back and cross with his right.

    • @machinewashableOG
      @machinewashableOG หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      @@S1MX2 I'm not sure what you mean or how it's a contradiction, sorry? If he beats the wide man on the wing, I noticed he chooses to use the outside of his right foot (which is difficult to pull off effectively as it's highly technical) or turn inside to use his right foot, which means that the cross or cut back PASS is delayed (not a cut back dribble). Does that make sense? Please let me know if you still think this is a contradiction as I think perhaps you misunderstood what I meant :)

    • @NL-fg6it
      @NL-fg6it หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      @@machinewashableOGhe’s talking nonsense, bro. That’s not a contradiction at all. I hope we’ll see more squad rotation depending on the opponent. If we’re playing against someone like Liverpool with Salah (who likes to cut in, to be on his left) on the right, we can use Timber there. For some other games it might be better to have Calafiori. I’d also like to see White rested and see Timber at RB. Either way, our defence looks deep. 🙌🏾

    • @machinewashableOG
      @machinewashableOG หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@NL-fg6it Exactly right, dude. Tomiyasu shut down Salah so well because he was a right footer and could prevent Salah from shifting to his left foot, so it makes sense to have that profile to deal with those specific match ups. I understand there’s nothing to go off ( no previous games at Arsenal) to say how much he is missed whilst injured and Arsenal merino may be different to Sociedad Merino but IMO he should be mentioned much more regarding absences as I feel he’s bang on to be a main stake in the 11 as the left sided midfielder and could play a big part for the club.

    For those nucklehead Arsenal paper fans who want Arteta gone smoke that.

    It’s absolutely disgusting when you think that Calafiori is also added to that defence.
    Tomiyasu is no slouch either and gets into most teams.

    Bit frantic from Arsenal in the first half but they locked in after that. Beautiful defending. I think Jorginho played his part very well. Brought structure and a sense of calm. One negative thing…Aresnal’s lack of attacking threat was really on show here. Havertz is not good enough to be the official number 9. He was non existent in this game and has kept a low profile in other games. That’s not what you want from your number 9, especially if you’re chasing city. There’s not much they can do about it now. But in January, this experiment needs to end and Arteta needs to buy an actual number 9.

    Hard to argue with anything GN says there , as a spurs fan it pains me to see how well Arteta has that Team playing, Very well drilled well disciplined , fair play to them.
