Great review, thanks so much! I actually bought the Envy x360 13 in Nov. 2020 (Ryzen 4500u, 16G RAM, 512G SSD) - a FANTASTIC value and I love it! A few things worth noting - while the Envy has a 16:9 aspect ratio (the Yoga is 16:10 I think), even though 16:10 is the 'trendy' option these days, the Envy is light (less than three pounds) and easier to travel with (important for me as I travel for business quite a lot). Regarding the size of the keyboard - yes, it is smaller than the Yoga keyboard, no doubt about that.....................however, it's ALSO a better fit than the Yoga for those who have smaller hands - something to keep in mind for prospective buyers. I also agree with you about the unusual placement of the fingerprint scanner, it WAS kind of weird at first - but after about a week of use you get used to it and it becomes a non-issue after that. Ultimately, both machines are quite capable - IMO the Envy is just a better value for the price. Thanks again for the great review!

Both laptops have soldered Ram. Most ultrabooks have the same. But I understand I will mention from next time. Gaming would be better in the Yoga. Whereas rest all is great on the Envy with a smaller and lighter form factor. So decide accordingly. Every laptop has storage options or you can upgrade the SSD yourself or in a shop to make it more economical.
Firstly that will depend on the game you play. I would just say that the Yoga is better in gaming due to the XE graphics as I mentioned in the video. Envy can game but definitely is not as good as the Yoga.

If you want to game the best experience will be on the Intel variants especially with XE graphics on the 11th Gen. Ryzen will give you better sustained performance with better battery life (if the size of battery is same)

I prefer Ryzen based chips as they are more efficient. So they give similar battery life with smaller sized batteries. So that's why the Envy gives similar battery life with a smaller battery and hence is lighter as well. Also Ryzen chips throttle less or don't at all in a lot of laptops.
