    I'm a subscriber and love watching these 'hard' sparing days, you guys are high quality. I love the whip on Brendan's long jab.
    I've done Muay Thai myself for many years and also really enjoy sparing days.
    If you don't mind some feedback, I noticed you guys never do the occasional high front kick or overhand right. You also never see any side kicks or spinning hits (hands or legs). Are these things put away for sparing day or do you just not bother training them?

    • @SiamBoxing
      @SiamBoxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you very much for watching, as for certain moves they will not utilise them as some are moves that to be effective they would use full force which is best for a fight, such as elbows they may mimic them but they will not throw them in sparring. spinning back fists some may do them but again some realise that they can be bad and when some guys are at a certain level they do not need to throw everything in training, usually you may see a beginner utilising all the tools but without full control and this can sometimes lead to injury. good clean sparring is the best master the basics.

It's just that I'm the lightest and one of the shortest fighters at my gym and am always using tricks and fakes etc to land something or create an angle and get inside (cause I have to), so I'm always looking for new ideas..

    • @SiamBoxing
      @SiamBoxing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because it’s training not a fight even with elbow pads sometimes things go wrong and you will get cut sidelining you for a while. In Thailand they use no elbows in sparring at all yet they are the best
