"Boxing is the art of hitting an opponent from further distance away, exposing a least amount of your body, while getting into position to punch with maximum leverage and not getting hit." kenny weldon

A lot of people give Floyd shit for “running” but he looks brain healthy which a lot of boxers sadly don’t due to a lot of punches hitting their head.End of day, he’s rich and healthy due to mastering his craft
What an honor to be in the ring with Floyd that is. You should be proud of yourself. And watching Floyd box in his old age truly showcases how slick he is.
This segment illustrates how Mayweather uses his body movement as a decoy to entice the opponent to strike. Floyd ducks and weaves knowing how the opponent will respond to the set-up. And which he can then attack with his own strikes.
Stuffed his right arm. KNEW it was locked up and only available offensive option was a gazelle punch and called it without saying a WORD 🤯! Its so BEAUTIFUL to watch

And still showing no respect to his opponent. At his Position you can atleast show some respect and not try to degrade the opponent that clearly got no Chance against a World class boxer. Terrible behaviour and no role Model for sure
2:13 this part here is freaking amazing to watch in slow motion. The way he dodges the punch, applies a body shot and dodges a second one is ridiculous, given how fast it was
2:36 to 2:47 was the best moment to me. Floyd barely breaks a sweat, relaxively keeping in his tempo, Jarvis nervously waiting for Floyd to shoot a jab he can see, so he can counter or find himself in an exchange he can predict. The singular jab ends the arguement that Jarvis is trying to have with the far more experienced Floyd. It's a total reflection of what would realistically happen if Floyd were to take the spar a little more seriously. The follow up jabs are just a consistent reminder of that fact.
"Yeah so as agreed on earlier, i can hit you whenever i want. And there aint shit you can do about it. You wont even see it coming... now swing more so i can punish you after you miss." Like fighting both God and the devil in the ring while being a mere mortal. And both have concluded you take an L. Sick sickening situation to find yourself in. A hopeless war with no hope of victory
I have much respect for Jarvis. Even though it took him a whole ban from his favorite game to realise his lifestyle was wrong, he still made it. He found a sport he loves and he puts the work in daily without ever giving up. It's been some time now and look at him! He is literally sparring with arguably one of the goats, Floyd Mayweather. This Jarvis kid will go much further if he keeps on pursuing his dreams 🙏
@@Wickedandshit No you don't get it. Everyone thinks they have become a boxer, but this kid right here, he's different. I mean who quits fortnite to spar with Floyd Mayweather? did you notice that floyd constantly moves to the edges of the ring and lets the opponent take the center and have the initiative of the attacks? he does this on purpose to tire him out with his incredible defense and reflexes. 45 years old and moves like a 25 year old
Not a very good strategy for tiring out an opponent... you have to cover twice as much distance to circle, while the opponent can cover the radius with a pivot. this goes to show the stamina difference, not the tactical difference. floyd can do double/triple the ringwork and keep his breathing steady while his opponent is tiring out in the even easier position...
@@juliansanderson839 But tbf you just have to keep moving whilst blocking, popping the jab. After 2 rounds of that the opponent will be more tired than you for sure, being mayweather helps too😂

Really not that impressive. He's been boxing his entire life and has great reflexes. He should be able to do that all day long. Plus he love taps. That's why he gets them off. Floyd is more of an Olympic point style boxer. Which is fine but let's be real
Truly the greatest fighter ever had the pleasure to watch live! Appreciate this guy while he's here. He taught a "style" of boxing like Bruce Lee taught his own style of Marshal arts!
As a beginner boxer, I want to commend ANY young fighter who gets in the ring with a Pro Fighter, no matter what their status is. I got in the ring with pro fighters and I went 4 three minute rounds with them. I did not do it out of trying to be tough, I did it out of “I respect you, but I want to let myself know that I can take the heat and that I have something to fight for as well”. Even though I felt it a week later, the pro fighters respected me for this. Floyd respects these young guns so much that he spars them so they can feel what “greatness feels like”, what you have to do, think, act, react, and etc. Every Pro Fighter and I mean EVERYONE knows there is a guy somewhere right now who has nothing, nobody, no answers, maybe suicidal thoughts, but he has a dream. He is probably in the dungeon right now with a lack luster coach who is fueling him up. That fighter is probably 10, 12, heck maybe even 6 or 7 ready to dethrone whoever is at the top some years from now or whoever decides to come back to the game. Floyd is like a big brother, uncle, and even Father to some of these young men, he training them up so he can sit on the throne when his times comes to embrace all he built in this sport. My Brother from college who taught me boxing told me the last thing that any fighter has left when he is an old old old man is his ego. He is going to fight even when he physically cannot. Salute to the young man in the ring, Salute to the OG Floyd. Blessings.
Thinking far too deep into this. Floyd does not do this out of “respect” why would he care for him? He does it to stay in shape and because he knows this is the level he will compete against in lame exhibitions, and there’s nothing respectful about his showboating, it’s just a laugh for him. Being an elite boxer beating up rookies is not respectful. Also known to be very racist toward white guys in his gym. The fact that you believe mayweather is doing this as a gesture of good will and helping guys out for no benefit of his own is amusing.
He’s on a whole different level. You talk about a guy who was bred to fight. It’s amazing to see top athletes in their sport. They’re just built different.
As Mike alway’s said, “He’s never out of the Gym” and he’s not. He lives this sport and he never wants to ever lose his sharpness. The career is over but he’ll be doing gym wars for probably the next 15 years just using his skill, his IQ and his experience. Incredible athlete.
@@wavycrockett4261 it’s not a diss, it’s literal facts. Jarvis is a low-level fighter, a good one, but a novice nonetheless. Nothing wrong with that. He’s got great technique given the amount of years he has been in training. Mayweather is the GOAT. Obviously he would do this to me too, as you so boldly stated. I would fuck your bum ass up though.
@TheHammer-nm8lo oh yeah the best defensive boxer possibly ever has never seen anything like Crawford and would 100% chance have no idea how to handle the situation.
@TheHammer-nm8lo I'm not knocking Crawford by any means he is a hell of a fighter and still doesn't get the credit he's owed. Have you watched any of Floyd's recent fights, its a game, he spends more time talking to the crowd and fucking off, no shit he's going to get tagged.

A round of applause for the young man who sparred Floyd. This really showcased his skill as well, he has great potential facing down someone of his own age and experience. He was no slouch. 👏🏻
It may seem strange to you but even Foreman at 0.25 shows all his genius....at normal speed you can only perceive his power but in slow motion it is clear how strategic he was.
The 2 piece Floyd gave him around the 2:10 mark was so clean and then the slip and body shot afterwards was crazy 😂 it’s like he knew he was going to throw the jab smh reflexes and timing is just remarkable.
2:48 That's one of the most frustrating punches to be hit with, one someone conditions you with the jab, and then throws the lead hook. Getting hit with that punch can anger you to a degree, that you have never been before. My guy...... it makes you so mad.

As a student of boxing, that man is poetry in motion.
What an honor to be in the ring with Floyd that is. You should be proud of yourself. And watching Floyd box in his old age truly showcases how slick he is.
You can see the difference in level at 4:52 when he slid back like the matrix. It's so rare to see the world class against an everyday person
And this guy ain’t no everyday person. Jarvis been training with the mayweathers for years. An everyday person couldn’t land a single shot on him
This segment illustrates how Mayweather uses his body movement as a decoy to entice the opponent to strike. Floyd ducks and weaves knowing how the opponent will respond to the set-up. And which he can then attack with his own strikes.

You wont even see it coming... now swing more so i can punish you after you miss."

I have much respect for Jarvis. Even though it took him a whole ban from his favorite game to realise his lifestyle was wrong, he still made it. He found a sport he loves and he puts the work in daily without ever giving up. It's been some time now and look at him! He is literally sparring with arguably one of the goats, Floyd Mayweather. did you notice that floyd constantly moves to the edges of the ring and lets the opponent take the center and have the initiative of the attacks? he does this on purpose to tire him out with his incredible defense and reflexes.
