I watched it while it was under construction. I have never been a baseball or football fan I have been there many times. I ended up working three blocks away in the 80s and when the Lambs were playing there I made up the Lambs owner her custom pink stationary and business cards. Even all the players cards. The cheap Batch never even gave me a free ticket for a game! My company would often go to the base ball games, the Angles comped us tickets. We would walk to the Mexican place across he street for dinner and drinks then walk into the stadium. Fun times! On Sundays people would go to the front parking lot and fly remote control airplanes. I enjoyed that more than the ball games.
If a team has their field in Anahime and plays their games in Anahime how can they be called the Los Angles anything?

I learned to drive in the parking lot and we would fly kites there on the weekend when there were no games. I love this stadium. It feels like a part of me. Lol

The original Anaheim Stadium had a capacity of 43,250. And yes, to me they will always be the California Angels or the Anaheim Angels. They were the Los Angeles Angels when they actually played in Los Angeles.

Plenty of teams don't actually play in the city they represent, but no one gives them crap for it except if it's the Angels, who are named after the city and the original Los Angeles sports franchise, and they also entered the league as Los Angeles, so they are a born and bred L.A team which the Dodgers can never claim.
Long before the Dodgers arrived, the Pacific Coast League Los Angeles Angels ruled the city. The Dodgers "L.A" hat logo is an old PCL Angels logo.

Their inaugural season was played at Wrigley Field in L.A., same ballpark of the PCL L.A. Angels. There were even some former PCL Angels on the roster and involved in the throwing out of the first pitch.

Chavez Ravine was supposed to become a new affordable housing project. The original Mexican farmers were evicted from their properties. The government uses eminent domain to remove them. Don’t believe Angels played there. They played at the colosseum, which was their home field originally.
