I picked up a Maschine Mk2 second-hand for very little money. It is quite astonishing what you can do with it combined with the software for so little money. Shouldn't these be way more popular? Thank you for making content that still helps me 8 years later.
I just bought a MK1 on the back of this video (and another by Shadowick) for £50 (DELIVERED - to the UK - eBay!!). It's amazing how cheap these units are going for in (early) 2021.
AT LAST!! The first Maschine tut that actually states exactly what you are doing and HOW to do it. I was with you all the way. I could even guess what you was going to ad next. Well done.
I think there are not enough tutorials which go step by step in a simple way without to much talk and sidetracking . I like the Maschine but I’m still not sold on it.
This is a great video. yep. I like the beats produced... very professional. The detail is a pain in the ass, but for production it's necessary. I feel a strange sense of sadness that house music has lost so much of it's bollok-ness since the 90s though. It's the kind of music that you can put on while you're cruising down the highways of california. It's all respectable nowadays. It used to be the kind of music that you would worship till the sunrise. Still, I'd definitely buy this course, if I could afford a new Maschine :)
just to say my song is underground house music :) so found out that maschine is not only for hip hop etc you can really create really good vibes form scratch right to the end
I found a Native Instruments Maschine controller in a pawn shop but I don't think I'm up to learning how to use it, this thing looks like something from a Star Trek episode. LOL!
dude ur my hero ! i have a maschine Mk2 and i have such a difficult time trying to learn by myself(i can't find any maschine or ableton teacher or some sort near me) PLus having issues linking my maschine with traktor pro 2 using a windows laptop = headaiche . I apreciate ur tutorials ! Cheers
Sorry, and good point, nothing specifically calls out that Rough Rider kit... I have DNB Skyline, House Arrest, and Prima Tech House packs, and that kit is not in any of those 3... Niche DO have great loops/samples, though...

And they still work pretty well too!
The patterns tip at 18 seconds is a game changer!

Nice :) Thanks for sharing.
Great! I want one of those!
I think he swing on the group you apply at 5:00 doesn't have any effect because you're in 8th cycle whereas the note you recorded is in 16th
Nice knowledge house music
Sounds dope man
Are these stock sounds that come with the unit? Sounds great. Nice tutorial!
Quick question... How do you add the sounds in on the beats without doing it live?

2
Nice one...
great video! thank you!! :)
smooth, thanks. I thought my drums where sounding over quantized. Great tek.
As were mine. Nice video!

Nice, I think the shaker sounded better before quantize though.
Hi, i just started with Maschine. Do you have any expirience?
very good vid pal
good stuff bro
The compressor and eq you used are they built into Maschine?
So, if you do make something like this, you CAN SAVE it to your computer right?
yes, it records directly to the computer
can you use your own samples in this ,I'm thinking of buying this or circuit to use with MainStage for live which one would you recommend
thanks
Nice tuto dude continue ;-)
full support
I followed your whole video but the at the compression part I only have 2 groups. You have many more am I missing something? Thanks
do you have to use the software for live performance or can you save internal
what's your pack ?
PS: I really like your accent ;-)

What is the name of house kits that you purchased and where can I get them?
If only youtube had some sort of replay feature, then you could, oh, I don't know, fucking replay the first few seconds of the video?
This is Maschine 1 I believe?
No it's 2
There is only 1 endcoder in the Master section.
+RockstahRolln MK2 colored pads and 1 encoder. MK1 orange pads, 3 small encoders.
Where can I get the drums
I found a Native Instruments Maschine controller in a pawn shop but I don't think I'm up to learning how to use it, this thing looks like something from a Star Trek episode. LOL!
It's not that hard! What happened over the last 3 years?
I'm surprised the beat sound very flat and robotic. I thought a unit like this would add that extra factor.I keep looking. Thanks for vid.

Question, how do you get the + pat mode? mine says favorites on that button
+cloeten93 Which maschine version do you have? 1.8? 2.0? 2.4?
2.0 . But i already found it thanks mate
what software do you use with the maschine mk2
Maschine ?
he probably asked because the old software maschine 1.0 looked diffrent.
where i can found this kit? rough ride kit?
It can be found by listening to the video... he tells you in the 20 seconds where he got it...
Sorry, and good point, nothing specifically calls out that Rough Rider kit... I have DNB Skyline, House Arrest, and Prima Tech House packs, and that kit is not in any of those 3... Niche DO have great loops/samples, though...
