Animals and Insects although can behave relatively dualistic in arguing for resources or turf also can have a connected source consciousness. Think Jung called it the Anima Mundi to describe bird flight formations. Amongst insects it is called the hive mind. Animals don't have egos , so it is easier for them to tune in =^=
"Their 'minds' are all downloaded from a common source". Since it is recognized here that they are, in fact, downloads, then it would be logical to admit they are "programs" and not "minds".
The problem I have with Rupert's view as described in this video is that it does not account for SPECIFIC contents of consciousness. All minds crystallize out of the one field, the One Mind... good. I'm good with that. But where do the perceived forms come from? If one were to simply say they come from the One Mind would be very circular and would answer nothing. I believe one has to also say that perceived environments along with their forms interdependently arise within the different crystallizations (ie, minds). In that sense, I think we have to say they exist... not apart from mind but they exist and are, within the general interdependent field, differently perceived by the different crystallizations, (ie, minds). I feel that Rupert glosses this over, doesn't really deal with it, but I could be mistaken. I'd be interested in hearing any thoughts anyone might have on this.
Yes something exists - its the 'excitations' or 'vibrations'of the one filed of subjective awareness. Those excitations create the split into finite minds, and are the origin of a shared world we each perceive..

So the world goes on and on with the belief that matter exists outside mind and that it can be worked upon. This is true for all practical purposes. And this is how it will go on. So the consciousness which is playing all this for any purposes or is it its nature to continue to play for ever?

Ethelred Hardrede and science has been looking for consciousness for eons and cannot locate it. Mind is non local the brain and nervous system access the mind. You can pick apart the physical being till the cows come home you will not find consciousness I do recognize that this is not for you and that is fine. So find something else that fits your reality better

Response: OMG very enlightening! A Songbird with a Bird Brain is capable of disseminating syntactic rules. Paradox: Song Birds are not capable of understanding Human Language and therefore not capable of ever understanding Math or Physics or the concept of "Relative Truth". By not having the capability of understanding "Relative Truth" , Song Birds are also not capable of understanding the concept of religion or God. Respectfully.....
Ethelred, I hope you can fathom that over 80% of the entire Worlds population believes a "Relative Truth" that God exists? Are you saying over 80% of the world population are wrong and Ethelred Hardrede, who doesn't even exist or is insane, are correct? I don't think so! Check your obvious FLAW logic and reasoning! Hint: It's not incorrect to have a BELIEF in a "Relative Truth". Believing God exists has NOTHING to do with whether God exists. You need to go back to square 1.
