    Good for you finally somebody making videos that knows how to handle them for releasing.

    • @tomaszsikora8221

      I'm honestly wondering whether or not this is sarcasm. Touching trout (or any fish for that matter) with anything but your wet hands or the net carries the risk of damaging and therefore killing the fish. Either due to direct injuries or because the fish can pick up several sorts of infections if its mucosa is damaged.

    • @horizanadventures
      @horizanadventures 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it was my video on catch was meant for sarcasm th-cam.com/video/uyHGIiOWwCg/w-d-xo.html but don't my word for it read what the experts say. greatlakesecho.org/2017/12/21/catch-and-release-kills-many-fish/ I am not addressing you personally What I am addressing is I see far to many videos on youtube. where people abusing fish for the camera for a video with out know the facts This bothers me because they are killing the fish without knowing it ! out of site out of mind.

    Hey Eric, great tutorial! Question: For your multiple planer board program, do you like the front clips to “not release”, or do you set them to release?

    • @wibigfishcom
      @wibigfishcom  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tim H definitely not releasing on the clips

    • @timh8257
      @timh8257 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the quick response (wow!). I always get tangled if I get a fish on an outside board (or lose a fish) if it doesn’t release...which means I have to drag it back across my inside board. Ugg!

    • @wibigfishcom
      @wibigfishcom  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tim H or reel in the inside boards to clear them so you get no tangles. Often just to be safe I will clear my inside boards it only takes 5 minutes to reset them. Tangles take longer and loose fish...

U want to have some real fun fighting fish one on one get an islander knuckle buster mooching reel or center pin basically a glorified fly real. And get a 10.5' mooching rod. That is how we fish them on Vancouver Island BC Canada. I guarantee you won't Go back to level winds.

      Eric Haataja hey man do your planner boards have anything to do with getting spoons down deeper? I know they get the lines away from the wake. For a lake newbie hunting down Browns I’m just trying to get the spoons down with as little amount of gear possible, wondering about weights and spoons as well to get the spoon down while trolling, yes or no..? Another dumb question you’re always using swivels on spoons correct? Thanks man, great fishing you definitely have trout and salmon down to a science!
