how to run P.0 air purge on vaillant ecotec pro boiler after draining down

After every time the boiler has been drained or the system has been drained once you have refilled the system you will then need to run the air Purge cycle P. 0 to bleed any air out of the boiler. The automatic air vent needs to be open while you are refilling and whilst you are running p0 and then it can be closed.

I drained my boiler, filled it back up to 1.5 bar then purged the air, then realized the whole problem was my gas meter not keeping the gas on. The stove would only last about 20sec then go out. I had to call up my supplier to let them know my gas keeps going right back off. They had me switch off the boiler, oven and gas line for 5 min, then turn the gas line back on, check my stove for 30sec, then test my boiler. So moral of the story, make sure your gas is absolutely on by running your stove longer than 2 sec. lol

Hi there, I have a question for a Atmoblock one. Is it necessary to firstly open the purge valve on the boiler? Shouldn't it be already partially open? I read on the manual it is necessary to open it a single turn or 2 for the 1st use, it doesn't say then to close it after the purge program. So, must it stay always half open in its normal operation, or just for the purge operations? Thanx in advance.

i'm having a sound of water cascading at lower pressure, can it be caused by unsuccessful bleeding? When the pressure is closer to red zone on manometer, the sound fades away.

Yes it will do after 7 minutes or so
