I have one of these jigs and set up the jig for a particular size, but the finished measurement was not the same - I set it for an 8 inch bracelet and the finished bracelet, including the buckle was a larger size. Do I need to compensate for the size of the buckle when I set the jig size? What I mean is, if the closed buckle size measures 1 inch and I want a bracelet that is 7 inches, do I set the jig for 6 inches? The jig has the fixed buckle pieces overlap the actual jig. I'm confused. Help?

Hi Anita, sometimes production of hand made items like this one can result in variations in the accuracy of printing. Additionally, the placement of the different size buckles causes difficulties. The measurements printed are intended to be a guide, accuracy comes with a good ruler.
I still have the first production model. It has been to three trade shows and I have given countless demonstrations with it and made a lot (hundreds?) of bracelets. I’ve drawn marks and added screw hooks to the top but I still use a ruler to double check the length that the bracelet will be.
Here is a tip-if I need to make a bracelet shorter than the jig is in the closed position, I pivot the top to the side. The buckle mounts will swivel. Then I use a ruler to set the length.

Yea they use the buckle as part of the measurement when in fact that's not correct! To get a size 6 adjust to the 8 mark and so on

Goddess1Princess A little confused (it doesn't take much for me :( ) - shouldn't it be the reverse? If I want to make an 8 inch bracelet I should set the jig for the smaller measurement? My problem was with the finished bracelet - if I set it for a 7 inch bracelet with the clips all set, when finished, the bracelet turned out to be at least 1/2 inch larger than the 7 inches I wanted (and yes, I measured the clip size closed - not including the clip "prongs").

***** I give this jig 2 stars because i found that for me to get a size 6 i need to adjust to an 8 on the jig. also they don't put a disclaimer saying results may very form person to person. i would not recommend this jig!

The background music was too loud and annoying so didn't finish watching the video. More like foregound music.
