As always, well done video. Small note. At the beginning no need to reserve 45 cm. For 21 cm is sufficient bracelet 31 cm at the beginning. The length of both pieces of paracord just 145 cm. Are then so large residues which have also not be used.
I tied one of these a few weeks back using this tutorial. So a beautiful weave. Rookie weaver here so I had to watch this video and rewind bits of it for about 45 minutes. My final product turned out pretty good. Toggle knot is ingenious. If I could only figure out how to watch these tutorials in super slo motion, I'd be able to weave much faster. 😉👍
Just in case you didn’t already know this, you can slow TH-cam videos down. If you’re on a mobile device using the TH-cam app, then you press the three vertical dots in the top right corner of a video while it’s paused, then select “playback speed”. If you’re on a desktop, then you just click on the gear icon at the bottom (I think) of the video, and select “playback speed” from there. You can speed up/slow down videos there. Sorry, if you already knew this. Hope it helps.
Took me about 10 starts to get this right, and now I'm just working on fine tuning each knot. Thanks for the video, WhyKnot. You got another subscriber.
Great video- I was wondering if there's a chart to determine different lengths of paracord to make various wrist sizes? You marked your cord for a 8" wrist so would one just add or subtract an inch from your measurement of 18 inches?
I am currently making letter bracelets with this braid. I love this braid because it really compliments my splicing paracord with leather. made an "A" and "Z" letter bracelets.
I need help guys. I'm new at paracord work & I have no issues learning the diff braid patterns, its that most seem to never be quite like those in vids. I just made this bootlace but mine is half the width & almost a rounded shape. am I pulling my knots in too tight? it seemed to me the knots weren't close enough so I tried to keep tight as possible, even then still seems pretty lose to me. any pointers at all would be greatly appreciated. love your videos, I've learned everything from watching your vids, can't wait to learn more
My guess is that you are not making your knots too tight. A lot of the more difficult braids can't be tightened all at once you have to tighten them in sequence. After you have gone through once you might still need slight adjustment to make the knot look right and sit nicely. Try slowing down and tighten each set of knots bit by bit.
WhyKnot but I'm not getting why mine turned out almost in thick, kinda rounded, when the one u made looks to have a wider, flater look? wish I could post a pic
Tip: do the bottom first, the 'T', leaving the least of the cord out to cut off and singe. Then you measure the size you want, adding some for the bulk of it (will make it like 3x the girth), to then do the loop that will be the other end and start the whole thing (even 1 feet is a bit too much probably). Also make sure you leave enough space on this loop for the T to go through. The cord used on the left side, the gray one here, should be about 4 inches longer than the other; I used 110cm (about 19 inches) like he did and the right one (the magenta) had 4 inches spare to be cut in the end, I couldnt make another pass with the gray so had to end there. Worth to say, because the material is a bit sturdy the side you see him showing (the one turned to you while you make it) is the most comfortable side to wear it for being more 'plain' than the other, so keep that in mind: the 'back side' should have the colors you want to use. That is, if you make it a tight fit; if you let enough cord loose the other side wont be that bad to wear.
Me parece interesante lástima no poder atenderla , pero lo que aprecia se ve facil.mi pregunta donde se puede conseguir el material aqui en México. Gracias
Thank you for the useful video :) I have been studying and knitting knots for thirty years, and only now I decided to start my own channel on this topic. It remains to learn how to shoot videos beautifully :) I wish all knotters good luck in this exciting activity :)

Very well done tutorial, I found that if you use a buckle you only need about 4 ft of each color for an 8" bracelet.
Two Shots yeah
This reminds me of macrame from the 70's
