Sorry I can't contain my self from commenting about how clear and high def. your video is. May I ask what kind of camcorder was used on this video? Very helpful and informative video about the jig by the way.
+Aaron Valerio It's been a awhile since we shot this one so I can't be sure, but I believe this was one of the earliest videos we shot with our Canon VIXIA. The higher end VIXIAs work quite well for this type of table top photography.
you said you have instructions for making bracelet on jig I have a jig but no instruction came with it how or where can i get the instructions thanks so much
This video shows you how to use the jig. To learn how to make the paracord bracelet, watch our video "How to Make a Basic Cobra Paracord Bracelet": www.beadaholique.com/t-video-How-To-Make-A-Basic-Cobra-Paracord-Bracelet.aspx?TH-cam&
Indeed a little clarification. If your wrist is 8 inches and the buckles add about 2 inches, do u set the jig at 8 inches or at 9 inches to accommodate the inch thickness? I set the jig at 8 inches but it seems small in the inside and that only measures 7 inches now. Really need your help. Thank you.
I noticed you make your loop under the center strands and some people go on top. Does it change the finished look of the bracelet if you go under or top?
I bought a jig and have a question I hope you can answer it. If I have a clasp that measures 1 1/2 " and want to make a 7" bracelet, Do I have to position the number of the jig at 5 1/2 and with the 1 1/2 of the clasp it will be 7"? Or I have to make it different? Thank you.
Cheesey12330 Keep in mind that with paracord you set the length before you work and there is no adjusting it after that. Also, paracord is very thick so when you make 7 inches long it will be closer to 6 inches on your wrist. Also the buckle/closure you are using can have an effect on the size. Here is general sizing info: For a 7 1/2 wrist, measure out 8 1/2 inches in length (not including the buckle)
15mm is about 0.59" and 12mm is about 0.47". For future reference, you can always find the conversion very easily with an internet search. The jig is adjusted by loosening and tightening the bolt and wing nut. I imagine that the metal nut could get stripped after repeated use, but it would probably last for quite a while. If it did eventually strip out, you could always get a new wing nut from the hardware store.
thekalaoakidd Oh, then yes, I could see those getting stripped through repeated use. Those aren't meant to be changed all that often. The two sizes of buckle that come on the jig are two very common sizes, and it would be more for a situation where you always use a different size and you want to change it and leave it.

I bought one of these at my local craft/hobby store..was not impressed at all!! first off the buckles it comes with don't hold other buckles tightly so when your trying to tighten your cord they pull apart and secondly the ruler on the side is off by 1/4 of an inch.

I bought the jig at the good will but it had no instructions...this was so helpful and I can't wait to purchase the cords to get started.
Thank you making this, it helped a lot and work very good, like she said, the weaving can be found on the Tube, this I need as it hard to do by hand.
What a genius, yet simple invention! Headed to the hardware store to build one, myself, right now! :D
ya I'm a wood worker going to build severial as christmass gifts
Looks so easy in comparison to the instructions
Thanks that info was very helpful!!👍
Since the buckles clip in to the jig, they're included in the measurement. So the inside knotted part won't measure 8" but the whole bracelet should.
How to make a paracord bracelet using three colours on a jig
What an awesome video, thank you! Well done and well shot! Really appreciate it! 😀👍
Thanks for your kind words!
We're the clips supposed to come with it? I just bought mine yesterday and there are no clips so I can't start. 🙁

I believe you start a paracord with under, under, over----that's the right side. Then over, over, under for the left side.
no it don't change the out come

You would set the jig at 7". Clasp included. Just like in the video.
Hey, I have a question say your wrist is 6 inches would u make it 7 inches on the loom for room to work with and so its not tight or keep it at 6???

+Beadaholique Thanks! I will have to try that it was way to tight at 6" for me
what is 15mm & 12mm in INCHES?
wouldn't taking out and re-inserting the screws eventually strip the screw hole?
sorry...also,the ''little black things'' are cable clamps
15mm is about 0.59" and 12mm is about 0.47". For future reference, you can always find the conversion very easily with an internet search. to join two paracords do you have to burn the edges and join them
+Sudeep DSouza Yes you could burn them to fuse them together.
Look up the manny method
Thank you 🙂

I dont know how to knot it
Stripping the inner cord defeats the purpose of a survival bracelet
Nobilis not all bracelets are used for survival. Here in the UK alot of people have them for fashion purposes.

I just used a 20" 4x4 hahaha
Whatever works right, we've also done a lot of these by taping one end to a table and holding it taut
I bought one of these at my local craft/hobby store..was not impressed at all!! first off the buckles it comes with don't hold other buckles tightly so when your trying to tighten your cord they pull apart and secondly the ruler on the side is off by 1/4 of an inch.
looks like it will fall apart pretty quick.
nope! just the mesurments are off
No wonder I am not getting my bracelets the right size… My line is not at the six it’s at the 6 1/2 Mark… That doesn’t help us at all.
Oh no that sounds like an absolute pain. Is the mis-marked jig one you bought from us? If so send us an e-mail at service@beadaholique.com and we'll see what we can do to help.
what the hell why you didn't finish it

I keep getting more and more slack the further I go on my bracelet.
Are you using paracord by chance? Is the cord getting stretched out?
Now youre making me think now
Is the cord you are using like this? www.beadaholique.com/paracord-550-nylon-parachute-cord-4mm-turquoise-16-feet-4-8-meters.html
the jig itself is extremely easy and cheap to make yourself. but I can understand buying one for convenience or if you're just lazy lol.
Eddie Maxwell you are completely right
Or you don’t have the supplies or tools
Spending 4 minutes just to get to the weaving and then 2 milliseconds on how to do the knots.
She does the knot to fast
Waster by time watching time. Too damn fast!
This isn’t easy and ur going. Way to quick
Keep in mind that this is not a tutorial on how to make a bracelet normally, it is more about the bracelet maker and how to use it.
