Wow, this is such a beautiful and interesting project. I hope you enjoy it. Your videos have inspired me to build some sort of 98/XP machine of my own!
It's Beautiful, I've wanted to restomod an old beige Dell Dimension XPS myself, but the challenge to me is pairing a modern black monitor and painting it beige to match the tower, painting it with a Grey or blue Dell logo and everything! Can I ask what model number is that Acer monitor?
The fireplace and computer setup is very aesthetically pleasing. Awesome build, going to start my own as soon as I find a good case. Can’t believe I’ve thrown several old PC’s out over the years... they go for big money on Ebay now!
I wanna know how to improve air flow and cable management with old cases... I wish you don't stop recording videos... such good quality and such nice cases... you rock
I like it alot. Suggestions: 1. add stuff like cardreaders to the 3.5" slots, 2. add an I/O shield, 3. use a beige CRT sony trinitron monitor (however the white lcd also looks good)
wow... i loved that hot-swap SSD and HDD you have there.. that's really neat & practical especially when you have a dead SSD that needs to be replaced when the time comes... and that's really cool.
Suggestion for the floppy bays. I do a similar thing with old cabinets and often put a 3.5 inch bay card reader in one of the spaces. Or if you know someone with a 3dprinter you could print a grill to close the space but still allow some airflow.
Man, I'm envious of these super tall builds. Playing Doom on a tall AT (looking) tower, that brings back memories. Of course, that was another version of Doom back then.
It's probably true that antique and historical computer cases can be converted into gaming rigs with all new parts, which some might call "the ultimate sleeper bootlegs".
This looks like the kind of case I'd use if I built a sleeper rig. I like the hard drive caddies and Blu-ray drive. You don't see an optical drive on many sleeper rigs. However, I would keep the 3½" floppy drive. I saw Dr. Moddenstine's video on his IBM Aptiva sleeper PC where he repurposed the floppy drive as a SD card reader. He used the disks as caddies. I thought that was cool. Nothing like breathing new life into old technology. If I used this case or something similar for a sleeper, that's what I'd do.
Nice build. I would of put a 140mm (or 120mm) intake at the bottom of the case flooring (between the feet) and an 120mm exhaust fan zipped to the PCI slots below your graphics card.
Great video love the sleeper builds. Thanks for the videos and I have a question. Where did you buy the quad SSD caddy for the 5 1/4 drive bay? I would like to buy some for my cases.
I have a similar case, but I can't use it in a modern build due to the lack of airflow. How did you cut the hole for the 120mm fan on the back? Thanks .
It was a 486 case in its former life... try looking on eBay for a 486 case or vintage computer case -- there's usually a few on there that could be similar with some mods.
That is incredibly cool! Everything: the computer, the drive management, the copy of SimTower, the city map, and even the chair. Fantastic!
Thank you much!

Sure! The monitor is the ED242QR wi

Thanks! I plan to add to my sleeper how-to series soon... with air flow being one of the big topics (which also relates to cable management)
You will need a dremel to slice the chassis for cable management and airflow. It might also make the case a little lighter.
Beautiful design.. Fuckk al rgb bullshit.. This is real style.
I'm finally home and able to hit youtube for bit before bed. I'm like the old/new mix going on. i need to add a model m to my retro setup
They're among my favorites but I'll admit they aren't the best for serious typing :)
This Ivory tower build made me want to made my own Case,if not made from older case so i can freely chose where to put airflow
Amazing build!!! and no kidding about the sound form those speakers!! Nice job
This PC is HUGE! Also I would love to have an all-white setup like yours!
This is incredibly good looking

looks awesome! wish you had a little bit of a bigger desk to give everything a little more space.
That PC setup is beautiful, in a retro modern sort of way.

Beautiful and simple. Amazing work!
Epic!!!!!! That Beautiful sleeper pc 90s
love your channel so much, honestly so refreshing amidst all the popular tech/gaming channels that can be so hyped up

Good times! I never had a full tower growing up but always wanted one.
@@GamingRetro I had an early ATX one but stupidly gave it away at some point. I still regret it. Kinda want to build a retro pc in one some time.

Awesome set up. Love the fire and the chair.
Thanks, I appreciate it!

well done, btw looks like u-channel around the rear fans from mnpctech.
That's correct!
For better airflow try switching out those caddy's for an intake fan slot
That is soo beautiful. A job well done. Great keyboard choice, too. If you don't mind my asking, what music are you using in the background?
Thank you! The song is "Stuck in the Air": th-cam.com/video/VCfXtFy7Bhg/w-d-xo.html

Impressive setup mate. Congs...!!!!
Beautiful case, even better without side panels. Thanks for good content!
Thanks, I appreciate that!
cara todo arrumadinho
I still use those BA635's with my 3900x rig.
tbh a Windows XP theme could be the perfect cherry on the icing
I actually went with a win 9x theme! th-cam.com/video/BaYV8IHVWIk/w-d-xo.html

what are the details of the monitor? like model number?
The monitor is the Acer ED242QR wi: amzn.to/35FW7Xq

Drill. If you want good air, you need to drill the case.
Hey! Not expecting a response but I wanted to know what kind of material did you use for the custom black window on your build?
Speeding up things may help to make the video interesting...it’s kind of too slow pace for me!
Whoops >sry! Forgot to say>Nice build BTW.
What was the transucent material you used for the front window?
Thanks in advance!
Where did you get the feet for that computer case? Or did the come with it?
What case?

Hi little question how tall is the case
Bruh! This is the "sleeper build that got stolen"!
