Temporary Entrance To Ruby Falls

While the elevator is being renovated, I thought it would be cool to check out the temporary entrance to the cave. Its something you don't get to see very often. Lookout Mountain, TN

Glad you enjoyed it. Its a pretty cool commercial cave. You ought to go check out some of my older vids on Ruby Falls. They added to the famous castle and the construction had to dig into the mountain to do it

Never been through the emergency exit/entrance, so that was a treat to see.
The history video is pretty cool. We went probably 8 years ago (no video) and 1.5years ago and saw the new video.
So, theoretically, there is three ways to get into the cavern.

Going out through that lower cave though is really dangerous and highly illegal

Ruby Falls is always a great place to check out while in the area. With it being underground weather really doesn't affect it.

That is a shame while commercial caves are usually kind of touristy it does give people a taste of caving without getting too hard core

We remember using this as an exit back when they did the haunted cavern. We still miss that! Glad they are doing elevator work!

Yeah a working elevator is very important. ;) While the New haunted house on brownsbury road is good I miss it at the cave. It was like two haunted houses in one

Unfortunately not very much. There are a few stairs and some of the passages are narrow. The space in the castle is wheelchair accessible and there is a viewing area that is wheelchair accessible where you can look out over Chattanooga
