    It's just a song. Composers take license when they pen songs. It doesn't matter if there was no such train. Great song by Glenn Miller and Tex Beneke on vocals.

    I'd much rather take a train than a plane on a vacation. Unfortunately for me, taking a train to where I go on vacation requires me to drive about 200 miles to board the train to my destination, which is only about 600 miles from home. Then, the remainder of the trip by train would take another 14 hours if the train stays on schedule so, I just keep on driving. Driving is also still cheaper and faster than flying because where I live and where I go don't have large airports close by.

    No mention of the Tyco/Bachmann Chattanooga sets, the 1984 movie, or the Lionel set. Still good.

    This means that there were several, the song, the Cincinnati Southren's first passenger train, the Southern railroad's Birmingham spacial, the hotel, the movie, and the various model trains.
