I just wanted to say how much I appreciated this video. I just bought this vehicle and it's the touring. It was just kind of difficult to find good videos and reviews on this vehicle so I appreciate you very much thank you! I love my vehicle and I test drove a bunch of crossovers this one was definitely the best for interior, sound system, safety features, looks and it handles like a dream.

I own a 2020 cx9 grand touring and I LOVE it. The reason I TH-camd this one is because I’m going Sunday to look at the same colored cx3 for my wife. We had two Nissans prior and always had SERIOUS problems like CVT/ transmission and piston rings so no more Nissans for me. IM STUCK WITH MAZDAS for life!!

Just got the 2018 CX-5 , brilliant, car is loaaaaded with options and safety features and still is almost cheaper than the other brands of the same catagory.

Have had mine for 18months now and I’m still in love with it. I have the 2017 AWD Touring and aside from the back seat and trunk space, no other complaints! 🙌🏾

I traded in my 2011 C 300 4Matic Benz for a 2017 Mazda CX 9 Signiture. I absolutely love my Mazda more than I ever liked my Benz. It is a fantastic vehicle in every way. IMOP.

Great video Lauren - the CX-3 has kind of been overshadowed recently by the success of the CX-5. Personally, I love the CX-3, and that interior looks hot!

I never comment on videos. But I had to, here. I watch a lot of car review videos, but yours is real, natural and fun.
In regards to this video specifically, I appreciate you commenting on the total available storage space for "junk in your trunk" (as you said, which had me burst out loud), as that is something I too-often overlook when buying a car. I am interested in the CX-3, and your review was very helpful. Thanks for doing what you do!

I am a happy Mazda owner I have owned at least 10 of them, they were all MX5's, I hate the fact that I will have to put my mx5 away soon because of snow, otherwise I would drive it year round.
I am considering a CX3 on my next car purchase I am going to retire my Buick Encore early before it starts breaking.

Hope they improved the navigation system. My 2016 CX3 has been back for repair of the navigation system 4 times. Finally on visit 5 they replaced the entire system. Technician told me they should make it a recall. Seems a lot of people were having the same problem. Navigation would not load until you travelled at least 15 miles...only in cold weather. Very strange.

Lauren, given their similar price points, between a fully loaded CX-3 and a fully loaded Mazda3 hatchback, if it's YOUR money, which do you buy and why?

  • @guynellerandle9742

I bought a CX5 in 2013. First year out. Awesome vehicle! Only complaints are road noise and the sound system leaves a lot to be desired. Even BOSE. I have the Grand Touring, so it is fully loaded. But, like I said road noise and less than stellar sound system. Great car, otherwise

We were looking at the 2018 Mazda CX3 and the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek for my daughters first car. After test driving them both we ended up with the Subaru Crosstrek. Main reasons were: Bigger interior , especially the back seat and the cargo area. We had 3 adults in the back seat during each test drive , and the Mazda was way to tight , we were barely able to close the back door. We also did not like the cheap looking plastic heads up display piece. Road noise and clunking noises over rough roads was very noticeable in the Mazda. The Subaru had a much better ride. The one thing we did like in the Mazda was the heated steering wheel , if you want one on the Subaru you have to buy one made for Canada. There not offered in the United States. Subaru also has a windshield wiper defrost element in the front windshield , nice touch. Great video by the way !!!!!!!

I just went through the same exercise with my daughter and she said she did not need the back seat at all in fact she keeps it down all the time so she went for the CX 3 as she felt it had a better feel and more fun driving. Where she lives the road are good. Auto makers are building very good compact cars these days

I just rented one of these...a 2021 model. I found it to be too small to the point of being uncomfortably cramped. The driver's door panel protrudes too far into the interior to an already narrow footwell. All of the other seats were very well designed and comfortable for a car this size though. The engine whines and drones constantly. The "sport mode" (what is the point on an automatic transmission?) holds the transmission in too low a gear for too long while the normal mode is laggy. The 2.0 engine provides decent power when you really step on it. I think a CX-5 would be just right.

It´s interesting how many people complain about Mazda´s HUD is a distractor, but they want the infotainment system include Android Auto and Apple Carplay... That the heck!

An awd Mazda3 would have been a better way to go, especially for Northern climates, call it a '3 rally', raise suspension by an inch and pretty much do what Subaru did w/the impreza hatch. Space is non-existant and it functions much like a 4-door honda rebel. Single w/no kids seems to be the target market.

Don't understand you Americans. Always complaining about underpowered Cars. You only drive like 55 or 65 mls/hr. I live near the German border, and regulary driving there. And they drive fast, believe me. And this car is NOT underpowered.

This car looks absolutely hideous. Your constantly referring to its good looks absolutely floors me.
