I do think the very short post game is kind of a dead ringer for that theory having at least some truth to it. The main story felt very complete to me (although it is very, very easy), though.
Love that the winding clock percussion is absent from this version, since the planet's paralysis is an Explorers plotpoint but was resolved already - thus, no need for the same instrument in this iteration of the theme
This is a great remix and indeed when I first listened to the Vast Ice Mountain themes (from BrawlBRSTMs3X) I thought they would suit an ice palace-type area. (I had played Explorers of Darkness and Blue Rescue Team but never Sky or GtI). Then when I heard Glacier Palace Great Spire, I realised that Vast Ice Mountain Peak would fit perfectly with that dungeon. Vast Ice Mountain is probably better suited to the Eastern Spire.
Mathymathymathy i wouldn't say that they would realy fit. I don't know if you've noticed, but the main reason why PMD songs are perfection is because they make a marvelous use of motifes, so sure, as standalone songs, they might fit the scenery, but most of the charm of the song would be lost if all of a sudden, in a game were we've been hearing the theme of hope, dispair and the theme of post town as the main motifes, we heard the melodies exclusive and relevant to the special episode of another game.

This sounds kinda like Temporal Tower from PMD Time/Darkness/Sky. Not sure if this was an intentional remix, though. There's even that little flute part that plays now and then in Temporal Tower in this piece.

This is a great remix. The game was terrible in terms of plot though. Way more disappointing than Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. I did like the graphics and characters of the game though.

Dude they so should have used this. It's amazing to not go into a pmd game even if it was like a side dungeon/mission you could go on
I wish they would have at least used the unused themes in Super Mystery Dungeon, since like every dungeon theme from Gates is reused in Super
