It is my pleasure to introduce the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 Remastering Project, an undertaking of mine dedicated to bringing one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks to a new life. It is my belief that this music--composed by Arata Iiyoshi, Hideki Sakamoto, Keisuke Ito, Ryoma Nakamura and Ken-ichi Saito--deserves to be listened to and enjoyed by more than just the people who play, or have played, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. It is a truly beautiful and widely appreciated collection of music, however with a limited potential due to the confines by which it is bound: a Nintendo DS cartridge. My goal for this project is to bring each track in the game to life by means of remastering, and in some cases reorchestrating, to the best of my ability, while at the same time preserving the natural charm that lies within them.

I don't understand why people just dismiss this as a remix of Temporal Tower and say that that's bad. This is SUPPOSED to be a remix of Temporal Tower. It was SUPPOSED to parallel the final act of the game. While Hero and Partner are ascending Temporal Tower to face Dialga to change the future, Grovyle, Celebi and Duskinoir are ascending Vast Ice Mountain to confront Dialga to change the future
I hear Temporal Tower and it's awesome! I need to find Sky somewhere, I have Time.
Well actually, You and your Partner ascended to Temporal Tower first before Grovyle, Celebi and Dusknoir ascended Vast Ice Mountain. This is because time is already moving as Grovyle and company go up the mountain.
Flaming Gilgamesh it doesn't sound like Temporal Tower to me at all
@Marielena Potts it has the sound of clock being wound, hence the comparison. Also the music is loosely modeled after Temporal Tower or Spire, I don't remember.
People hate that song? Color me surprise! I personally loved it! Such a hard level, yet epic time!
I'm an absolute sucker for musical motifs (especially the time gear one oh lordy) so this is basically crack to my ears.

And now I just noticed those motifs in this song. I am learning so much from these remixes.

PMD is one of the few games I've seen that does motifs right. Undertale is the he only other one I can think of.
@Moonsick I'm sorry that mentioning another game that uses a musical technique is considered cringy.

Three years ago a friend of mine lost my Explorers of Sky.
A month ago a friend gave me his Explorers of Time.
I realized special episodes don't exist in this game.
I cried like a baby.
The buildup in this song brings back some good memories.

So it turns out if you inflict confusion on Dialga his Roar of Time will hit him too.

Yep. In the Special Episode I didn't have any Stun Seeds on hand, so I threw a Totter Seed at Dialga and then while I was taking multiple turns walking up to him he walked around a bit and then fired off a Roar of Time and did as much damage to himself as he did to any of my team.

My personal favorite track from the series :) When you hear this piece in the second half of the dungeon, you know things are about to get real epic real quick.

i adore this remix!! i love how, ironically, *vast* this entire piece sounds. I think it’s the faint echo on the instruments? whatever it is, this remix is awesome and lends a lot of power and weight to the original song. absolutely makes it feel like a parallel final dungeon to the main story!!
I usually listen to Pokemon video game soundtrack and rocknroll/metal this remastering is quite good :)

Does anyone else hear Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger in this? It starts at around 0:35
Oh my god! I thought I heard Chrono Trigger, but I thought I was imagining things! Pretty solid title to reference for this game. Lots of similarities, all things considered.
